For those wondering about why Quantum Break is not mentioned... no, QB is not part of the 'Remedy Connected Universe' (that's Alan Wake + Control, so far). This is due to the fact that Microsoft owns Quantum Break's rights, making a crossover with AW and Control very difficult, legaly speaking. Remedy owns both Alan Wake and Control, so they can do whatever they want with them, like put them in the same universe, for example.

Alan Wake exists as an author in Quantum Break, Night Springs exists in Quantum Break, and AWE is painted all over the game. And Dylan, Jesses brother mentions Shifter Martin Hatch as Mr. Door. @@k29king1 ummm no... Remedy themselves have stated that only Control, Alan Wake and their next game in development are part of the RCU so far. The Quantum Break stuff you are talking about are just Easter eggs and cheeky nods to the fans, according to Sam Lake himself. It's like saying The Witcher and Assassin's Creed are part of the same universe just because there's an Assasin Easter egg in The Witcher 2. They're just nods. QB won't connect to the RCU because Remedy doesn't own the IP, Microsoft does. Remedy can't use that franchise because it doesn't belong to them. Max Payne and Death Rally aren't part of the RCU either.

yeah it could be problem but unlike sony microsoft is quite open minded towards game devs..i hope they will come to an agreement of some sort.

A few other interesting things: Sarah Breaker joins the FBC at some point. In the first Alan Wake special, there is a cardboard cutout of Sarah that mentions her joining a secret society that her father was a part of, clearly the FBC. Mr. Scratch is still alive, and wasn't fully killed in Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Alice Wake reports being haunted by a demonic version of Alan (Mr. Scratch) five years after Mr. Scratch was supposed to be killed.

Wow so much work in the lore. This is why I love remedy

'Alan Wake' is one of my fave games of all time.

How they are linked? 4 words, OLD GODS OF ASGARD.

There is a segment in the dlc with Alan Wake writing about Jessies actions. Could it be that the Bureau of control and potentially Jessie exist as a result of Alans writing whilst trapped within the dark place? It's possible that Alan Wakes new story "Return" (being written in the dark depths of Cauldron Lake) is simply events taking place in the new Control game with Jessie being his invented main character. Exactly like how Thomas Zane wrote about Alan Wake and the clicker. Anyway, with Alan writing about Jessie and the Bureau of control investigating the paranormal and interdimensional activity Alan has created a link between the real world and the dark place, a link that he could use to escape back to proper reality. Perhaps this is what Thomas Zane meant when he told Alan he was close to escaping the dark place. I may be completely wrong here. Thoughts?

I did not play Alan Wake, back in the day. I'm hesitant to go back to older games. I'm often disappointed. I did NOT really like Quantum Break and I think that's why I was skeptical of Control. That and the reviews were kind of lukewarm for Control, but I REALLY liked Control a lot. I voted GOTY for Sekiro on Steam, but it was a tough decision. RTX ON.

Alan wake is a masterpiece In my opinion it’s slow at first but gets more interesting and then the climax is the best part just stick with it to the end it won’t disappoint you

And no mention to the obvious links to *Max Payne* to both Alan Wake and Control? Not only that Max Payne was a "creation" of Alan and one of his best selling novel series he wrote, which we found numerous clues and easter eggs in Alan Wake, like the actual books in Alan's New York home and finding script pages that quote Max Payne monologues and are even narrated in Max's original voice, but also does Dylan tell us in Control that there was "a cop who was written by a writer, but that cop was actually real" was a direct reference to both universes. Kinda weak that the makers of this video didn't know this.

Quantum Break is owned by Microsoft, so unless Remedy plans on buying those rights (which I doubt) we won't see QB's world crossover with Alan Wake's and Control's. They're different universes. The reason this "Remedy Connected Universe" thing is possible it's because Remedy owns both Alan Wake's and Control's IP's, so they have total control (no pun intended) over them. Remedy has already announced that their next game in development will be part of the RCU as well.

Connection is easy: They share the same old animation & 3rd person camera. They got evolved a little bit through this unrelevant game called Quantum Break but besides that nothing has really changed. But wait....Alain Wake is still way better than control
