About the video:
This video delves into the critical issue of mindless conservatism in the church, highlighting the dangers of rigid conservatism and the resulting cultural stagnation within faith communities. By advocating for critical thinking in Christianity and questioning long-held church traditions, we explore the necessity for evolving church practices to maintain cultural relevance and adaptability. Through a thoughtful critique of conservative dogma, we encourage a Christian community introspection, aiming to bridge tradition and modernity for a more inclusive and progressive Christianity.

As a conservative Christian, I think our biggest issue is being unable to create culture that promotes our values.

How do you believe we should respond to this challenge?

Without Church tradition, the Church falls. Without Church tradition, we cannot understand what we even believe. The Church Fathers are instrumental to our faith and we must submit to their teachings.

Alot of conservative views in this generation are about science, gender and abortion. Although conservatism can be influenced by religion it wouldnt really change much in the standpoint of todays arguements. You can take a religious approach to these scenarios of course, however, most of the time a scientific standpoint is taken. When alot of libertarian ideas are being forced on children in education, or the ideas go beyond science then it causes more hate and its harder to communicate with both sides. I dont think itll get any better for the next 10 years.

Another reason why its hard to move forward is the constant arguements on problems of the past. You see more white people talking about racism nowadays than people of different colour. So you can make the same arguements for libertarians in this video.
