Thank you so much for this video -- I was having the exact same issue with no output coming from the keyboard (due to the wrong type of cable) and couldn't seem to find any explanations from other online forums, manuals, etc. until finding this video! I'll be getting the correct 2-band cables asap!

And maybe that's why Yamaha came with Rec'nshare app to help Recording. I don't know. That is my experience. Thanks again

Speed is same, so when I play a note on keyboard by pressing down a key, it gets registered at same time on my DAW which, So I don't need to adjust that. I tried this technique in my recent projects, sound is realistic, as good as keyboard, but not good in Mix & Mastering. So I usually have to use other techniques (effects) to get a even better quality from sound of my keyboard.

Hello, I believe you can. Most keyboards has a side which can be recorded in Stereo, mine is left. You need to plug that side and your MIC to record at same time. Some keyboards also support MIC, so you just need to plug your microphone to keyboard and then connect your keyboard to audio interface.

Hey there! I decided to start recording my piano music using the following stuff: • Yamaha P-125 digital piano • Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen • Warm Audio Prem TRS - 2 cables (to make it stereo). But there is a problem. When I turn the volume up in Logic or turn on the Mastering Assistant that adjusts my track to -14LUFS, I hear noise. I don't know how to remove it or record audio without any noise.

Hi @yanashego I don't know much about the Logic, but I guess that's maybe because your piano output is an AUX, is that right ? Do you also careful about the colors on focusrite scarlett 2i2?

@@yanashego AUX is more open to interference. The noise can be from an electrical power. But I think you can try Headphones output, or check if your piano has built-in interface. If p125 has it, then you can just use a USB cable and record directly.

@@NimaPassionForMusic I’ve just tried to record via the headphones output but noise is still present in the recording. I even tried plugging my piano into a different wall socket because sometimes if there is a ground issue or interference, it could cause noise, but it didn’t help.

@@yanashego Have you tried direct USB ? As I said I don't use logic but there are some DAWs that have an option for noise reduction, maybe it's called Noise Gate. Then you can change the Threshold and see if it helps. But I must say that it's a complicated problem & and maybe it needs more time and investigation to diagnose the issue.

Ignore my first question is I was asking when saw you putting in a single line jack in it. Btw, I this you can use different cable the connect to only one instrument port on the 2i2. Unless the ports are only for mono.

Daren thanks for your comments. I don't fully understand your question. I know that you can connect your inst+Mic simultaneously. There is also possible to connect just use one keyboard output if it is written L+R on it. But I was obsessed about the stereo sound, so I use two of those outputs. I just begin with 2i2. And I will share my experience in next videos. Stay tuned. 🙏

Yamaha Psr sx600, unlike sx700 and sx 900, has a built-in audio interface. Scarlet is completely unnecessary in this combo. It is enough to connect Yamaha and the PC with a USB cable and not only midi but also audio recording to PC will be enabled. Even PC sound will come out through Yamaha output. SX600 is the only arranger keyboard that can do this.

Yes, but the title of the video is not how to connect sx600 to PC. I demonstrated how to connect A keyboard to PC with an interface. I had Yamaha SX-600 at the time. If you read other comments you'll see this method can be used for other keyboards an Digital Piano than sx600. But thanks for your comment.
