    More female characters is not going to make more women watch Star Wars. More gay characters is not going to make more gay people watch Star Wars. You know who's gonna watch Star Wars? People who like Star Wars. Which used to be a lot of people from different backgrounds. But not since the woke warriors took over. Their stated intention is to bring people together, but their actions have the opposite effect. They made entertainment politically divisive, forced people to take sides and alienated the majority of their audience in the proccess. Like all leftist social agendas, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

  • @Tubeflux
    @Tubeflux7 күн бұрын

    I completely agree with Will Jordan, the Drinker, and I even go further and recommend a show with a female protagonist, a science-fiction show actually, just go and watch FALLOUT if you want a female protagonist, actually a strong woman, that has to grow from a naive woman to a strong fighter. So, she actually goes through her own heroe's journey before reaching her goal. This is how storytelling is done and how it’s been done for centuries. So again, watch Fallout if you want a good science-fiction show today, and you even get diversity without , getting it smashed into your face. It’s just an integral part of it. Just watch it, you’ll see.

    Well yes, but Fallout has numerous problems with the story and narrative, things that just don’t make sense in a logical way, and it introduces Communism in a pretty ham fisted way but she’s a relatively decent character. Tbh I’d go back further, over many decades there have been many strong female characters, but these seem to be ignored by modern feminists who want their own agenda to be the most important thing.

    Speaking of Shogun: the book is inspired by real life, historical events & people, James Clavell just changed the names in order to write his story. For example, John Blackthorne is based on William Adams AKA ''Miura Anjin" ( ''Navigator of Miura Island"), the first Englishman who traveled to feudal Japan, became an advisor for Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu ( Lord Torunaga in the show/book is based on him) and even obtained the rank of Samurai. The real life story of Adams is even more fascinating, he's a highly regarded historical figure in Japan to this day, with several memorials, a museum & an annual festival dedicated to him. There are various documentaries & books about him, if you're interested to learn more about him.

    Honestly, I think everyone, hard core Star Wars or other franchise fans, the long term general fans, the just normal people are sick to death of hearing about Gender, Diversity, Inclusion and all the other buzz words every single day of their lives. We all just want good entertainment, stories that make you feel something, protagonists we love, antagonists we hate or just love to hate. All the DEI nonsense we hear about every day is just tiresome, we just want to go to work, live our lives and watch well made stories that are worth spending our hard earned money on. It’s gotten to the stage where entertainment is just crap, everyone knows it, and that’s why there are so many inflamed emotions. Nothing is fun anymore…

In general men like certain subject content that females do not have any interest in general females like certain subject content that men do not like there is some overlay but those are the exceptions not the rule. every attempt to change and established male centric or female centric IP has failed because the established demographic of that IP loses interest in the IP because of the changes and there is no demographic that is interested in the IP to fill the void left by the demographic that left the IP. just a few examples of this. bud-lite doritos star wars MCU Indiana Jones rings of power many video games.

    Your assessment of football is wrong. The reason why Man C aren't accepted is because they are owned by a foreign state and, with a limitless budget, have bought all their glory. The Brits are very big on fairness, and a team which has been assembled without budgetary restraint is seen as winning unfairly. Newcastle are a big, old team, but again, it's the ownership that is causing the issues.

    I would say that our (British) system is very unfair compared the US system. A club getting promoted to the Premiership is almost always relegated back down shortly after just because they can't afford the price of staying up. Compared to the US draft system where the bottom placed teams get first pick of new players which helps even things out.

    Fun fact: Captain Cook and crew, in their attempt to go around Antarctica, consistently found themselves off their reckoning. (It's because Antarctica is not an icy continent on the southern portion of an oblate spheroid Earth, but rather a tall perimeter of ice encircling us.)

    This updated Shogun is absolute girl boss garbage. Just utter trash and the fact these two like it is mind-boggling. They should watch the original from the 80s with Richard Chamberlain. Gimme a break with that horrible show.
