In isiXhosa, we call him Tshezi, one of the clan names in the Xhosa Kingdom. He's an absolute beast! and if "bombs come in a small package" was a person. People are deceived by his small body, but wow a great thinker who is not scared to take on the whole team.

He's not big but he's perfectly made for speed and agility, most players of his stature merely scamper whereas Cheslin runs with long ground-eating strides added to which he has great versatility and balance, a devastating player (hope his ankles hold up)

The most impressive thing about Cheslin, is he might be the best defensive winger in the world right now, and he has no problems under the high ball, which were the criticisms people had about selecting someone so small. He's proven me and many others wrong.

Kolbe is an example for all Rugby players, his modesty speaks words. He is an excellent plays with no match at all.

Somehow he doesn’t slow down when he steps people, he does it at full pace, and if anything seems to accelerate faster out of a sidestep.

We can all agree 2019 was prime kolbe

Cheslin Kolbe is the best open field runner that I have ever seen and that includes NFL and college football in the US. On top of that, Kolbe is a brilliant player who routinely makes great plays on both offense and defense. And, he is fearless, he goes up for kicks against bigger stronger players and wins. And, don't forget the extra point kick he blocked against France - who'd have thunk it? A truly great player in every aspect.

Never had a bad game in his life. Attack, defense, pressure. He might not shine every game, but he never makes a wrong decision. But we always knew that in Cape Town, him and Gio Aplon, if they only gave him the same chance. WP JOU LEKKER DING! Lekker kuila ❤

On top of all his amazing talent is how he has been instrumental in all of the crunch games for the Boks. Will Jordan is great but he doesn’t turn up against the toughest opposition

Jordan was instrumental in the All Blacks beating the Boks at Mt Smart this year (15 July 2023), which Kolbe played in. Jordan set up two tries in the first half and scored a try in the second half.

Without a doubt best in the world . Question is if he surpasses Jonas lomu , may be being able to do what he does with his size is beyond incredible

Don't get me wrong. Jonah Lomu's fame labeled him as the best in the world when you talk to anyone in the northern hemisphere and he was impressive. And it's even harder for me to say this because I am friends with one of Jonah's best mates. But Christian Cullen was the most exciting All Black to watch. Cullen started his international career as Lomu's team mate in the Hong Kong 7s and Cullen won player of the tournament. Cullen ran from behind his own try line to score a try (105 M). In Cullen's first 2 games for the All Blacks he scored 8 tries. Cullen was known for long distance individual tries. At the time there was nobody who could match him for speed. He was recognised as the best fullback. He was so good even the Australian and South African Rugby commutators loved him, and lets face in, they are a hard group to impress if you aren't on there side. Sorry Grant if you see this.

Always reminded me of Jason Robinson. But Cheslin in a class of his own. 2 World cup medals.

I disagree. Robinson was a herky jerky runner. Cheslin is a smooth runner like Christian Cullen.

his stop and go and sidestep game is absolutely mental. if this guy was playing handball he'd be an absolute nightmare for every defender, maybe even more so than in rugby. crazy to think that lomu was sometimes able to be sth like 80% of his agility with 40kgs more to move.

Cheslin changed the game because he showed that a tiny scrumhalf-sized guy can compete physically at the top level, in the most physical team in the world!

He's my favorite player. If i ever played rugby at a high level, he's the type of player i would have loved to be. Not the big center like Lomu that just ran over his opponents. I would have wanted to be the feather-footed winger that danced around his opponents and broke their ankles. This guy will be one of the greats.
