How cheap is ALBANIA? 🇦🇱Food, sightseeing, drinks, under 20 euro a day!

You already know that Albania is by far my favourite country in Europe. I spent a day in the capital and my wallet was super happy about it.
Here's a list of where I went:
-Accomodation: Hostel Milingona
-First lunch: a bakery on Rruga Qemal Stafa
-Cable car Dajti Ekspres
-Bunk'art 1
-Oda Restaurant
-Cafe: PeopleBar
-Lunch: Zgara Albania
-Bakery: Backmann 2

Hi guys! I need to apologize for calling Albania "cheap" - it's a negative word and I didn't think about relative wealth. It's not ok for me to call 20 Euro a day "cheap" when for some people it's a daily wage. I'm sorry!

please dont apologise.I hate people who try to be politically correct. We albanians know it that when you say it cheap it means by your own standards and for us is expensive but we do not get offended. We are just grateful that you visited our country and we really pray that you had a good and safe time. That is all.

Yea, for us we found Albania very "affordable" but the quality of the food and the customer service was our of this world! Byreks were always good options for a snack on the go. We loved Dajti Express. Its dropped to 800 Lek a person now.

I think you're misinforming here: lots of people in Albania use old lek and new lek. So if that guy said nuts were 1400 lek, he meant it in old lek for sure, which is just over a 1 euro only. They are lovely people who will go out of their way to help you.

7:20 A lot of Albanians still tend to refer to old Leke when trading especially in markets, but what they actually mean is New Leke, which has have been Revalued and has had a 0 dropped. Which means most likely he/she wasn't trying to charge you €11.50 but €1:15. I guess this causes a lot of confusion for tourists. Anyway Great Footage, Thanks for sharing.

If you understand here people only earn 5€ per day, then you shouldn't use the word cheap here. The reason why you feel cheap is because you are from a development country. 😒 Please revise your tilted for this word. Many thanks, Peter

Albania uses old lek and new lek (Old lek was used since Albania got their currency and new lek got implemented after the end of the communist regime but people stick to old lek if they are talking informaly, new lek if formaly) Old lek: 1400L (L is a symbol for lek) = 1 Euro New Lek: 1400L = 10 Euros 1 Euro = 140L That farmers market you went is a bit overpricy but Albanians afford it and the quality money ratio is pretty good!

Everyone had a normal life, i could say better in quality than now. There was no crime, no Poverty (i am speaking about actual poverty, there was no actual hunger, while there are about 1 million people in albania right now living with less than 5 euros per day) no drugs, no prostituion.
