A friend, Dr Windy Gordon, was teaching a sports psyche course at Western Carolina. He had Kent Ford, former US C1 slalom team member, come in to talk about visualization. Kent asked Windy to pick a Worlds course that he had been in. "When I say go start your watch", Kent went through the course in his mind (also mimicking strokes) "stop"! It had been years since this worlds, he was 2 seconds off. I was a decent slalom racer but not even close to that.
