Hose clamps a must and a kiddie pool for extra security.

Pretty good video a lot of tangents pretty much hole size, hose size, bulkheads, and pump but most other vids won’t tell you those needed sizes so awesome video

I used to use 1" vinyl tubing with those 1" bulkheads. I always had roots in the tubing. Sometimes 1 bucket would over flo due to the root clogging. So I went with 2" pvc and glued them to Current Culture 2" bulkheads. What a game changer. No leaks. Steady flow of nutrient/water. Use square 12 gal totes instead of buckets. You want the bulkheads to be flush with your totes. You'll grow trees. Lol! 702! Grower's Luv!

I saw a recommendation for teflon tape for the premade ready to go kits. Dripping water is just a hazard when working with RDWC.

Wait I have a question, do you use the drill to make the holes? & what size are the connector things, are they bulkheads? One inch bulkheads?

Go with bigger to prevent clogging

I would agree bigger, but I have been using 1 inch for almost 5 years now and rarely have any issues. I might try 2 inches later. I just don't wanna glue anything together. If I were to build one again, I would probably do at least 2 inches

@@420Hydro I’m building a 2in version using uniseals and flexible joiners so I can disassemble if need be, i don’t think I would need glue maybe a lil silicone if I experience any leaks

@STMENTNETWORK sounds like something I would build if I were to make another. I thought about 3 inch pvc. But I don't wanna be fighting pvc while trying to work under canopy. Good luck on your build and grows

I connect mine with 1/2" lines. I recirculate by ebb and flow. No root issues. I literally invented the system just to save money on bulkheads and pipe.
