    I'm sure you could build them and make quite a good sum of money selling them way out in the Outback... his prices are so reasonable compared to what other people is the u.s. start selling them for Plus I think he uses better parts then other people also. And he seems like such a great & cool Dude too, I'd hangout & drink a beer with him.

    Gary I love the system thank you so much for everything especially the drilling part I think I would have put the drill through my head before I finished. I'm about to do the leak test and I suspect everything will be perfect. Thanks for all you do you are THE MAN, so there are just no two ways about it you are it! Unless of course this leaks then you will see a post from me which will not be so pleasant LOL I'm sure it's an easy fix if anything's wrong. This systems again is awesome and for the price you can't beat it ! you are very kind, thank you Gary! I an't say thank you enough!! all of this work just to grow some tomatoes in the winter for now... Maybe peppers or who knows what next. I've been referring everyone I know to you !!! This system totally rocks as do all of your other ones I could only afford this one for now but your top with a line systems are so killer with and without tent--especially with the tents in the 13 gallon buckets OMG you're a genius and a true artist.

    great tips on the build 15 min in and i like the tip on the hot water to loosen up the molecular structure of the hosing. one tip i can give is if you use a map gas torch or a butane torch on the burrs helps with rounding off the edges. i even use it after the de-burring tool. have yet had a leak and my system has had seven grows on it.

    Dude, videos are so thorough and freaking awesome I think a second grader could follow this video and put this system together possibly even drill the holes, but I'm not going to try drilling holes. I'm really excited to get this I have next week off of work so that should be plenty of time to set it all up and get things moving I got my water sitting all ready to let the chlorine dissipate. You are one amazing dude man! Every time I hear your other store is called all good gives me a chuckle. The next store you open up, if u do, should be called something like Greatful Hydroponics LOL... and if you are considering going with selling on Amazon in the future they got away set up where you can send them all your supplies, or better yet have all your suppliers send them your supplies, and they will take care of shipping them out from there which could prob save you a ton of time because I know your time is limited, greatly Limited. You're probably already aware that Amazon program but I thought I would mention it just in case you were not aware. Congratulations on running a freaking awesome store, being fair and honest with your prices and being more than willing to help out. You are a true Deadhead in the best sense possible! Luv ya Gary! I'm looking forward to doing lots of business with you in the future. I'm trying to convince some of my local friends (Pittsburgh) to come to you for their tomato and other hydroponics supplies instead of buying local, but that's a tough sell because most of them are friends with their local sellers. Although the almighty dollar rules a lot of stuff & not to mention your customer service is top notch! I wish you all the best of luck Gary, not that you need any luck. I appreciate your help once again. I'm sure I'll be talking to you soon take care. Judd

    Watched lots of videos. Watched this one and bought the 6 bucket DWC. Had problem with failures on the leak test. (I'm sure you looked in the grommet method.) After a few stubborn leaks ( I used to worked in manufacturing, assembling and testing gas regulators), I used plumbers white tape on the threads and cleaned any debris on the gaskets. That fixed it. Cold weather with morning temps in the 40's (in MAY!) stalled the growth process. (I live on MD Eastern Shore) Now with warmer temps, they're greening up nice and developing at a DAILY rate. ( I use Advanced Nutrients with the the gorilla.) Advanced Nutrients webpage has a confusing feed schedule. I only need to know how often the change the solution.

    I am watching videos and learning,you suggest changing water solution every week or two depending on state of crop,if the feed is all dissolved in the water won't the plants uptake a standard feed until reservoir is too low,my thought is a40 gal container of mixture connected to the reservoir via a (what we call) a ball valve(tap) or float valve ,then by regularly checking large drum you would not need to empty the system, a complete novice to hydroponics.

  • @PAHydroponics

    @PAHydroponics

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hey there, you have a good point but I would have to say that plants only uptake what they want and if you keep adding nutes without draining it out there could and most likely will be a build up of something the plant does not want and eventually it can mess your plants up, they like it fresh and have a noticeably better yield with the frequent change outs. I do deal with commercial lettuce growers with 1000's of gallons that never change it out but they have a 5000$ machine that analyzes what is in the water so they can add just what ios needed back in like nitrogen or phos. pot. etc. Hope this helps. Have a good day! Gary

I have a 3.5' grow cabinet and I am growing out of a dwc coffee container LOL but I spent under $20 I'm am finishing the end of my grow and I've learned allot! I plan on doing an upgrade with res soon and I am planning on using 1 gallon ice cream bucket with an external res (rdwc). Does the external res have to be the same size as the one that has the plant it in?

  • @PAHydroponics

    @PAHydroponics

    4 жыл бұрын

    Good question that we get a lot, everyone needs to think of the whole system as being 1 big reservoir, the extra container with no plant is just a place for you to access and add or check ph and nutes. So it reallyu doesnt matter as to the size of the "reservoir", generally the more water in the system the more stable the PH is and water temps etc. so that may be one thing to consider. Thanks for watching. Gary

    Hey Gary, I wanted to thank you for you videos as I managed to assemble your system following them. I would have loved to just buy your system but I live in freaking Argentina and usually things just do not get here. I was able to get almost every component on itself, or similar ones in some cases... like the drainage fittings. Those damn parts were a pain to get and I was only able to get them from china (and paid like 2 euro each). Also, I was not able to get the black flexible tubing that you use to connect the drainage fittings, so I had to use like... rigid 40mm tubing and it seems to work just fine... but it´s not as flexible. Besides sharing my experience with you, I wanted to ask something in particular. I ended up using another system in order to recirculate the water. Instead of connecting the water pump to one of the lower drainage fittings, my pumpo takes water through vertical tubing and then that one is divided on different tubes so each end falls back on top of each bucket. I hope you know what I mean, I can´t attack a photo here. My question is, why did you not do it this way? It also oxygenates the water, and roots don´t tend to got through the tubing so much. It is a bit noisier I guess... but just wondering if you approve my method hehe. Anyways... just thanks you for sharing all of this. Kind regards, Manuel

    Gary, You are the Man!!! I'm so happy I found you/your store/your videos! Almost spent a lot more for much less and a lower quality system too. This is the system for me! So happy I can order it drilled! Can I order this with a larger reservoir bucket? Like the 8 or 13 Gallon square ones? If so, would there be any drawbacks or problems because of the larger reservoir buckets? I'm thinking those buckets would be a little easier to work with. Also with more water the easier to keep the Ph etc. in line and with less fluctuations cause there's more water--or am I wrong about that? thanks!

    The videos are great. I have a room with 16 plants in soil, been very interested in dwc. I have a few questions about scaling that I hoped you would answer. If I add 8 more buckets in to this set up will I need a larger reservoir. Would the 75 pump still work for a 12 bucket setup? If not what would you recommend? Also do the lengths of tubing have to be even ? How far away can my reservoir be from the setup? If I have 12 buckets in the room can I put my reservoir outside of the room through a hole in the wall ? Other then that, great video. I planned on building a watering system but this seems more fun.

    Wanted to say, Thanks so much for your videos. I have been fascinated by hydroponics for years, and am not getting to start building my own. I actually ordered the kit (without the buckets) from your website for the 4 bucket DWC system, and look forward to getting that put together. I do have a question, I plan to have all my buckets in a straight line. I built a bench last year I had tomato plants in soil in buckets and wasn't very impressed with the end results, so this year I am going to try hydroponics. I picked up some extra tubing so I can have the reservoir bucket in the middle of the system, I figured this would reduce the strain on the sub pump. Does this seem like a good idea?

Wat would you use to plug 1 of the outputs on the air pump, since I'm only using 3? I'm going to switch the direction of my circulation every day, to help with any root clogs. Ive also got a timer to turn my pump on and off. You said on 1 min off 5 mins. Would it hurt to only leave it off 4 3 mins? Or just stick to the 1 & 5 mins? Thanks Gary!!!

    Hello, good questions, you could put an extra airstone in 1 of the plant sites or use a 1/4 inch tee and connect 2 of the air outputs into 1, the timer will still help it run cooler as long as it's only on for a minute or 2 at a time so it doesnt heat up. Have fun :) and love the 7 gallon size! Gary

    please correct me if i am wrong or if there is is some disadvantage to my idea that i do not see yet: you would only need 1 passage per bucket if you interconnected the pipes. i think passages are a relatively expensive piece. more expensive then what it takes to interconnect the pipes. maybe the water level will be more even with this method- anyway a important premise is that the ground is even
