Corey was a hero...gave his life for his daughter...rest easy, Champ

Michael Moorer wasn't left handed. He was right handed who fought in the southpaw stance. And Corrie Sanders never wanted fame. He was a modest, down to earth man who wanted best for his family and decided to use his passion for boxing to make good money and provide for them. Sanders was a hero and its a shame that he was killed. He shielded his daughter from the bullets in an armed robbery which occurred in the restaurant they were at. May he rest in peace. He is survived by his wife, son and daughter.

I remember being a pre teen when corrie shocked the world. One of the only boxing matches I can ever shedding a tear of excitement and exuberance watching. Thank you corrie. I will always remember that moment.

Yeah boxing screwed him after he beat Vlad. He wanted to fight Tua and they stripped him of his belts! He almost had Vitale a couple times in that fight too. But ultimately went out like a warrior!

Corrie was a great fighter. He was polite and humble.

Corrie Sanders is a class act. A brilliant fighter, a gentleman and passed a true martyr trying to save his daughter. A heartbreaking end to a great champ. RIP champ! You will always be remembered.

Lewis ran away from a rematch with Vitali, and Fury ran away from a rematch with Wladimir. For 10 years the brothers stood at the top. But Vitaly essentially remained undefeated and was not shocked by anyone.

I loved how Corrie Sanders won by KO Wladimir Kitchko . Great southpaw in great shape . (As a matter of fact , I'm southpaw too 😊) . After that Fight, Vitali (Wladimir 's brother) , gave "a lesson" by beating Corrie Sanders. That was incredible . I thought Corrie would fight better versus Vitali (like he did , when Corrie could easily , beat Wladimir) . I think Wladimir , at that time , was not si good ,so experienced like Wladimir became later and after that combat, Wladimir vs Corrie

I am glad you mentioned how the crowd felt about Lennox Lewis retiring before Klitschko rematch, I have the same feeling. Lennox is a top British HW, the legend, but in my opinion he has done a lot of damage to his legacy by ignoring demanded rematch and then gone retired. Corey Sanders was an elite warrior RIP

Say what you will about Lewis...and i consider him one of the smartest to ever lace them up, he was SMART to retire then. He got the W over Vitali but he saw the writing on the wall. He got his ass whipped and won by a horrible cut. He was coming back compared to the beating he got at first but Vitali was a friggin steel chinned monster. Lewis wasnt going to knock him out, and he knew a rematch was stupid and got out while the getting was good. Very smart of him. Vitali would have really tainted his legacy at a rematch.

Corey Sanders could have been one of the greatest champions of all time if he would have only trained harder. He showed up out of shape every time probably because he knew he had great skill. Word has it he liked playing golf more.

Greetings from TMT Las Vegas the commenter is misinformed. Michael Moore was not left-handed Greetings from TMt. He used the strategy I teach my guys. At times, you fight Southpaw to confuse your opponent, then you switch. Think Rocky Ii, when Balboa fought Apollo Creed right handed, until he switched to his left. Only difference is Balboa was a southpaw, Moore was not. This is where I got the idea from and he probably did as well.
