    The whole factory and machinery looks like it was bombed 70 years ago, sat there covered in ash, dirt and debris for 60 years, and someone uncovered it 10 years ago, shoveled out some debris and reopened factory. What a lovely place :D

    I observe and so much comes to mind, there is a a huge amount of energy wasted in that furnace, same which could be used to make steam and run an electric generator and a broom could help too : ) ... they have a video for us to see ... huge potential indeed.

    Those rods are likely sucker rod from oil wells. This is TOP quality steel actually. All the rest is very dodgy though. In spite of that, the finished product seems safe enough. That shear in the beginning is home made. Good work.

    Definitely hands on production. Looks like the machines and processes used in the early 1900's lol. Very effective though. Flinging the glowing chunks of steel is definitely an art. Safety boots and gloves would be my first priority. Very devoted and experienced workers.

I admire these men who do such a repetitive, difficult job with the bare necessities in the shop but they make such an important item that is in demand.     I can see several ways to speed up the process and save man hours alone with greater amount of product in an hour, let alone days, weeks and years with additional product and less work. Safety has the lowest importance in this video sadly.

    very inneficient, such archaic operations tend to occur in some specific context, muslim parts of india, pakistan etc. This is a way to keep everyone busy, producing the necessary goods for daily life, no will to improve products quality, work condition, productivity...They just "are"

    Brother-in-law learned machining in the Navy during Vietnam was stationed on the USS Ranger in San Diego. Worked as a Machinist Mate...class, don't remember... Got out of the Navy, stayed in SD and worked his way up to CNC Machinist, began his in business and was very successful. He's retired now but still has a full a shop set up in his garage. My sister needs to sell all the lathes, mills and so forth equipment... where to go and how to sell classic machines

    В остальном мире, после горячей ковки заготовки обрабатывают на токарно-копировальном полуавтомате, далее накатывают на резьбонакатном станке резьбу на эти шпильки. Таким образом упрочняется поверхность посредством нагартовки наружного слоя металла, резьба становится более грузоподьемная. И закалку уж точно никто не проводит-потому что нужна твердая снаружи и пластичная внутри что бы выдерживать многократные знакопеременные динамические нагрузки.

    @@anderson4558 Даже болты 12 класса прочности? А чем же их на станке обрабатывают, это же неразумный расход инструмента? Я видел в печи накатанные болты. Так что ваша теория применима скорее всего для болтов ниже 10 класса.

    @@alexanderandreev7151 катают все. И разных твердостей и марок сталей и не только. Даже ходовые винты для гидродомкратов с трапецеидальной резьбой. Вы просто с производством и оборудованием не знакомы. Расход инструмента? Откуда он на резьбонакатном станке? Мы резьбонакатные ролики меняем раз в полгода, да и то по регламенту больше.

    If they rolled the thread, they would be. And i don't actually understand why they would cut, when rolling is probably an easier process with a better result

    Yeah, real quality work. No safety measures in any procedure. More than likely poor quality steel, too. Would you want your high rise held up with those bolts? How about that ship you're in on your honeymoon cruise? You cross that bridge everyday on your way to work. Want them holding it together? These men work their asses off but that's no guarantee it's high quality steel.

    Hermoso te parece.te crees que lo hacen por arte.no es su trabajo para cubrir sus necesidades.un trabajo a un medio paso de la esclavitud.con ningun respeto x normas laborales o de seguridad. Crees que si tienen un accidente tieben un seguro o algo. Les viste la ropa de seguridad. Haz trabajadi en un ambiente asi. Yo si con otras normas muy diferentes y ahi si te puedo decir que es hermoso. Esto es simplemente abusivo.siglo xxI un chiste con suerte el 18

    I was thinking the same. Dinging the threads up by tossing finished parts. I have a machine shop and this would never happen in my shop. These parts would be in cardboard tubes for shipping

    @@morrisl7 I own a machine shop. It would damage the threads. It would put dents on the threads. A quality machine shop protects the parts until they are shipped. It costs nothing extra

    that was impressive but they might have had some sort of thread chaser set up .....i couldn't actually see enough to work out what was going on

    Real hands and HIPS on. the lathe operator at the end is retracting the threading tool with his hip! Surprised he' not using his Hampton to clear the swarf!

    I respect these guys working their butts off, curious how they can compete with a mass production machine tho. that seem to crank out parts like this 100 times faster...but maybe its the location.

    Cheap labour and cheap material and no quality control. These parts would never be allowed into the first world to be used on trucks. The frightening part is some people buy cheap and that's why wheels fall off trucks and kill people
