I wasn’t into Bill’s appearance in that show mainly due to the other characters in his crew. Especially that lady, Xian. She was so fucking annoying and lame.

Bill’s performance in today’s episode had me cheering. That little rocking motion with the look of disdain before he shot the guy at the table. Amazing.

That wasn't disdain. That was a PTSD episode. Notice his mouth just before he fired? That and the rocking is someone feeling levels of panic that most humans can't even imagine. He displayed this so well that he is either that exceptional of an actor or he has real experience to draw from. When he said, "we all need to sleep at night," he was describing how he was finally able to deal with the trauma he experienced when he was an Imperial.

I had a smile on my face from start to finish seeing Billy Redbeard get a leading role & flexing his acting chops🤣 In Star Wars no less! One of the greatest comedians alive.

His acting in the last episode was phenomenal. He fully captured what it looks like to go through a “minor” ptsd attack. Great job Bill!!

I think it really drives home how badly they fucked up with the new trilogy, when you realize that the franchise has plenty going for it and lots of great story potential. There's probably a shitload of fan fiction that has better storytelling than the disney trilogy.

I never even read the Thrawn Trilogy, but I've played plenty of Star Wars video games. Shadows Of The Empire would have made a great movie with an already great existing soundtrack. Disney's hubris = grand opening, grand closing. Kathleen Kennedy fucked up so bad that people are even seeing the prequels in a favorable light now lol

Star Wars has such a large, rich galaxy to tell all manner of stories in. Both in the 'present' and the past. But instead of telling an original idea for the new trilogy they once again told a story about the same damn characters, in the same part of space, that was a re-run of a story already told! And they even messed that up! Mandalorian is a taste of what you can do in this world with just a hint of imagination. You could set an entire series in the Old Republic timeline. Just please no more Skywalkers and Solo's!

Mayfeld is a legend.. Season 2 Episode 7 was all his.

that assumes hate was there in the first place. he mocks every fandom, even his own. plenty of times he laughs and points out the absurdity of his fandom/passion. he calls it "sportsball" even though hes a huge fan of all the sports, he knows how silly it is when you step back and look in. the reason bill is so loved and successful is that hes pretty blunt and direct, but honestly just wants to have fun and make fun of stuff.

He carried this last episode, he did great. Hope to see him more on it.

Bill Burr, you were absolutely the best part of this episode of Mandalorian. The exchange between the three actors over "a drink" was so emotionally charged. Whether it was about Star Wars or PTSD for Vets, you nailed the emotion for that scene. Award winning! Respect!

His character got major improvement in the recent episode. Beautiful acting by Burr too.

Money and connections will change almost anybody's heart and mind. 😂

That scene ! Although Mando taking off the helmet is supposed to be his big moment but Burr totally ruled the whole scene, how he built up the emotion. Hope his character will back again !

I hope him and the gang will be back in a future episode. I really like how he didn't try to overdo his role. Made it work really well!

This is the first clip I've seen of this podcast, and I love it, because the hosts don't unnecessarily interrupt the guest.

I just like seeing the joy on his face from actually being surprised from enjoying his experience as much as he clearly did

Just watched season 2, episode 7. Bill Burr featured heavily in this episode. I am freaked out that the moment I opened youtube, this was the first video to be recommended. This can't be random, not a coincidence.

hes turned down plenty of money jobs. this is just that he honestly didn't care about star was much, either way. and lets be honest, detach your fan nostalgia, and just look at all the crazy shit, that's how hes always seen the fandom. hes viewed us as silly, but he doesn't hate us, he knows and always talks about how silly he is with sports. how many rants has he done where he is mocking himself for being a fucking encyclopedia of sports stats. he knows how crazy and silly that looks to most people.

He played his role awesomely.

Last episode I see exactly why he was chosen. His sarcastic nihilistic somewhat disrespectful attitude towards Star Wars conflicts was exactly correct for the character. He talked trash about the entire dichotomy of Star Wars as a character IN Star Wars. Not everyone in the Star Wars universe is on board with the whole rebels vs empire and light vs dark. FINALLY a character in the middle who acts objective about it. He pointed out all the double standards and how people abandon morals - a moral nuance I have yet to see done well in Star Wars. Finally a mainstream canon character who talked shit about all the moral proselytizing in Star Wars. You can sense the genuine animosity towards that belief too in Burr. Burr sold the shit out of his character and he was perfect for it. Only a non-Star Wars fan could talk shit about Star Wars morals like that in character and sell it. Well done to everyone from writing to casting to Burr's performance on this one.

If you told me around the time that The Force Awakens came out that we'd be getting a Star Wars show that features Bill Burr on the Slave I with Boba Fett, I would have said that you were crazy. But then again, 2020 has been a crazy year, so compared to everything else that's been going on, it's not entirely surprising.
