Kamlesh form PluginIndia has a candid conversation with Mr Zarryl who has been servicing Reva and e2o electric cars in his own factory when Mahindra has abandoned hundreds of EV owners. We salute Zarryl's team for enabling Reva's and e2o's to help go beyond 2025!

*Chetan did 2 BIG mistakes:* *1. Didn't make electric 2wheelers* ... he could have set the 2Wheeler market on fire... not the fire like they set today... he could have made excellent vehicle at excellent price unlike overpriced Ather & Ola. I know his answer was... "2wheelers are unsafe" . But it is how 80% of Indians transported themselves back then. Chetan could have pushed India 20yrs into the future. *2nd Mistake was selling E2O* ... and that to a least creative Company like Mahindra that NEVER made or plans to make small cars. *Indians are FAMOUS for not knowing how to solve their own problems* ... and look towards the west for EVERY thing... Chetan was that rare breed of creative Indians who knew HOW to solve problems. Chetan would have done wonderfully had he just kept making the same car. He would have created many versions of the same car... It would have been amazing. *And we are STILL THERE... Stuck in YR 2000* ... Not a single EV manufactured YET... in 20damn yrs. And pls don't tell me TiagoEV, TigorEV & NexonEVs are EVs... designed and built as an Electric Vehicle from the ground up... they are not...

Thanks Kamlesh ji to bring Mr. Lobo, a legend in your channel. His insight matters a lot due to his exposure to EV and it's ecosystem for many years.

*Indian vehicle companies have their friends in govt who create laws which allow them to have to have a clear advantage.* Example is FAME 1 & FAME2 policies which removed almost the entire open market out of the EV race. *It is shocking that Govt is allowing companies to use NMC & Li-Ion batteries without ANY cooling features in high speed vehicles* ... NMC & Li-Ion batteries would not be recommended even in slow speed scooters in India since: 1. Some people travel long distances (50+ kms daily) on an eScooter... 2. Do not have proper shaded parking and it is left out in open air under the sun... *The pressure on these battries are just too much.*

To insure petrol car in UK can be less than £400/$500 per year, Tesla like vehicles can be like £2000/$2500 per year. Average person can't afford EV. The only vehicle that came close for insurance to petrol was the Reva/G-Wiz.. but can't buy new.

Wonderful video, many thanks, and there was a small period, if I recall, when Maini also went into some sort of spin-off with GM also, right, there was talk of a Chevrolet Spark on EV?

Both are very good. For your sister if height is low Chetak is better. Ola’s seating position is better for tall people. Ola’s software features are superior to Chetan’s non existent software features. If height is consideration go for Chetak. Try both and decide.

If you are going to buy OLA.... BEWARE ... dont buy an ola with single front arm... OLA AIR which comes with double front arm (suspension)... Ola single front arm is not a good design for a high speed vehicle.

EV tyres are lasting 10,000-15,000 miles compared with like 50,000 - 70,000 miles for petrol cars
