Yeah but considering the C class is only a 4 cylinder, only offering 200- 300 hp for nearly 40 to well over 50k with all the options is shambolic, not when you consider getting a 2-3 year old C63 AMG costs the same, and if willing to go a little older then you can really find a good spec one, it hardly seems worth it.

Calvin you completely missed the point of this car. This is not intended to be a performance car in any way, this is for people who like the amg look but with out performance features. It is a great cruiser, diesnt sound boy racerier and looks elegant 👌

The new Shape sprinters are incredible however VW/Man vans are even better. I’ve driven about every van you can think of over the past year (nothing older than 17) and the VW/Man is on top (even driven an electric Chinese van 😂) in terms of interior quality. But as a work horse I’d choose the Sprinter. Feels more powerful and it being rwd, just puts the power down much better.

Cars is absolute basic spec, no memory seats, no digital dash, no pan roof, no burmester sound system and no intelligent lighting system.

Lights are for kids, pan roof adds weight, digital dash is also pointless, branded sound systems are a marketing ploy, memory seats are great if you're a goldfish

I have a 2021 sprinter van with same steering wheel and i find them touch pads on steering wheel not good, when changing speed on cruise control always seem to touch that to and change something

Just recently got one almost totally similar except not facelifted. Blacked out and dark rims like this one. Insanely delicious car. Bought it for me, because i loved it, but lol i have not been lacking compliments.

On that pre facelift car you can buy the push start button to put into the ignition to make the car have keyless start too, as long as it has keyless entry, the button costs about £5

if it's got the keyless entry extra you can buy a engine start button that clips in the key slot

I actually really like these. My dad owns one of these but as the estate version instead, it’s an AMG Line Edition 2019. If I had 28k I’d probably go for a M140i, could probably get a very nice one for that price…

I've got a 19 plate version with the digital dash etc and I love it. It's a cruiser not a sports car, does that job very well imo

My mates got a c43 coupe and that is a beautiful motor and sounds really nice. Think that the c class coupe is a heavy car and needs 400 bhp power wise to be entertaining.

So it’s really a c200 then as it’s never been a 3 litre engine .This is what annoys me with newer bmws/Mercs the badge used to say what engine size it had so you could tell who had brought the base Engine option now it’s means zero and anyone can buy a basic version and pretend that they payed big money when in reality they cheaped out

The numbers do actually mean something and relate to power. I get the old way made a lot more sense and do wish it stayed the same, but with a merc and bmw, a 330i is higher spec & faster than a 320i (but they have the same engine) same as a c200 or c300. There’s about 50-100bhp of a difference though… i would say the c300/330i range suits someone looking at a c200/320i and fancy’s an upgrade, rather than someone wanting the beast and cheaping out 🤷‍♂️

@@bmwman1981 I disagree. If you know your cars you can quite easily differentiate between AMG & AMG Line trim, M Performance & M Sport trim etc..

You need a E63s facelift, you'll deffo fall in love with it!

Had a c43 coupe; loved the car. Actually the only thing I dislike is that there are too many c300 around so it doesn't feel special enough.

Agree with you Brother I have the 2019 mod. It looks amazing, but the Motor doesn’t suit the looks to me. Should have more grunt, then it would be a Beast. Obviously the C63 is the better choice

I agreewith you Calvin as the design is great but the attention to detail is on point.

I've got a 2019 C300 AMG Line Coupe with the digital dash and it just adds that little bit of premium, compared to the 2016 430d I came out of this car gets a lot more respect on the road. Great car for doing long journeys and gets around 40mpg. I would go E class coupe next time....

@@zafert85 Like most Merc owners, they used to be BMW guys but got fed up with BMWs being super common, super expensive for parts (more so than a merc), there interiors being bland and there getting uglier with every new model. Well that's what happened me. I should also point out not 1 Merc i have ever owned has broken down on me, I cant say the say for BMW

Don’t you miss the more power you got in the 430d?

Just like when you get out of any other merc into a s class they make all the others feel cheap

It’s not suppose to be sports car. It’s got it all. Looks performance. Most all comfortable. Not in garage every few hours.

I drove a c300 and a bmw 435d xdrive and yes the merc looked better but I chose the 435 as its faster 4 wheel drive,brilliant fuel economy and a better driving car by far.

The wheels are e63s copies, there the same wheels i have on mine, and the front spiller has been added, but there's better front splitters out there

The interiors on these are visually stunning. But when you start poking around and feeling the materials. The quality is nowhere near that of the equivalent BMW or Audi

That is quite a low spec Merc to be honest. In the C Class you need to be getting the Premium Plus. Worth it just for the better screen, better stereo (silver speaker caps) and electric memory seats. Plus you get the touch panel over the wheel. As I say that c300 is absolute base spec.

@@charliescarmedia5603 He's talking about the different specs you can get for a C200. For example, C200 se, AMG Sport, AMG Premium, AMG Premium Plus (Burmeister sound system, larger digital display, sunroof etc). The C200 comes in all of those specs in the UK.

I know exactly what you’re trying to say about merc’s not feeling premium despite looking and being premium. It’s difficult to put your finger on.

The problem with Mercedes and I also think Audi and BMW is that they are too accessible due to leasing. I believe when B.I.G. was rapping about it in the 90s and you had a Mercedes, you're somebody. No every other mid 20 year old is racing around in brand new ones paying £400+ a month. For me it has put me off these brands and I think I'll be going for a Porsche as the brand hasn't been desecreated yet.

I love that one. That one looks like a c43 if it wasnt for the biturbo badges missing and the quad tips. I love the AMG wheels. I have a 2015 c300 amg line sedan i love it i came from a 328i bmw

Had one as a courtesy car. - cheap low quality interior - too many gears - painfully uncomfortable on long drives

@@santana9537 Must not to be the same Mercedes i drive, they look amazing inside if you get the premium plus for the burmester system and compared to other cars the seats are super comfortable. My friend just got a brand new bmw420d about 3 months ago, and its a black plastic mess inside with cheap leather seats

I cant see a courtesy car being a good example of a Merc, definitely cant see it being well spec`d, probably not even an amg never mind premium or a premium plus. And how can a car have too many gears? mine is a 9 speed auto and you don't even notice it changing gears, so how is that an complaint? And why do you not like economy gears for low full consumption when cruising? You also know if you put the car in sport mode it turns off the economy gears?

@@bengenovese6591 Ive never heard of anywhere giving out fully spec`d Merc`s as courtesy cars, i don't believe that for a second, when i needed a courtesy car it was a cdi, lowest spec possible, and that's because i point blank refused the ds3 they were trying to palm me off with

So I have a decision between one of these, an S3/Golf R, g20 320i or this. I am leaning for the c300 to be honest but could possibly get even a a250 instead. Any advice for me?

All very different cars (besides s3/golf r). A250 and c300 are quick but less intends for hard driving. Golf r is very dull and drab. S3 if you ask me …

Felt the same when after owning a Clio 172 and a Mazda MX5 NB i jumped into a BMW 325i Coupe E92 with an Auto box. Very pretty, very comfy, very good and quite capable but it was just missing something. Sold it and got myself a Clio mk3 200 with a cup pack. Not a faster car, not an objectively better car but the joy of driving is back.

Sold a 2.0tfsi dsg fr leon stage one and bought a 325i e92 and felt the same, think stage 1 +dsg and turbo made all the difference.

Calvin, pick of the range is the c300d- i have one and its super quick. With premium pack you also have a fully digital instrument cluster, however after owning both this and the pre facelift c250d, I would actually rate the pre facelift as better quality, yes the facelift cars look better, but lack the quality and feel of the older ones in certain areas, as well as going down in specification, ie the facelift premium cars don't get panoramic roof, electric seats electric boot or keyless entry that the pre facelift car had, plus the newer cars are 400 tax for the year, a 2016 c250d was 20 pound!

Hi great video and a new subscriber but i would like to ask a question. It’s not all about power to some people ffs… do you think a middle aged lady is gonna care about having 500 horsepower in her car? Probably not. That’s actually quite a good power figure for that price. Similar to the golf gti with cloth seats and 230 ish hp …

Its not like i do not want to like your video, its youtube that will keep pushing more car videos in my youtube feed and I wont be able to stop watching..

The premium packages are a lot better on the c coupes!

I have a 21 plate c300 outside my house to deliver to Mercedes slough tomorrow nice car but what I don’t like is the delay on the gearbox all new Mercedes are the same select Drive and nothing for a couple seconds

What an idiotic waste of money. I picked up a ‘14 c250 for an amazing price and was an appropriate step up from my first ever car (1.1 litre). Hoping to pick up either an SL or CL500 as an investment and weekend driver soon.

@@youraveragejoe1 because the engine is from a Renault Megane (the big bum one). It’s not a proper Mercedes. Even the e class E220’s have the engine from alpha/peugeot. You’d be better off saving the money and getting something like a golf instead, which is a much better spend if you want that size and gadgetry.

I love the c class one of the best cars on the road in my opinion for daily use Idc what you bmw haters say

The interior material and build quality on mercs has gone down over the last 10 years

I can put my finger on it mate. Im in germany got a 2009 honda accord 2.4 sounds the same..4 banger...here they are trying hard to cut emissions..thats it. No one really drives german cars anymore. Not reliable like they used to be n too expensive to repair...but beautiful. Anyone who has a german car has another for the winter. Sucks cos they still phenomenal looking cars
