960 hours here, I'm still farming Teostra investigations for the mini crown and that's just for the base game platinum Don't tell me about the gold silver box or triple purple investigations, I was sick of hearing that advice 400 hours in Also screw the jellyfish

To be honest you are doing it wrong in my opinion. Teostra is one of the easiest monsters because of the event, just farm jewels all day until you find the crown, with HBG and SOS you can kill one in 4 minutes. Also, you can use the guiding lands, summon the monster, take the measures, banish the monster if is not a crown, just repeat it. I'm almost certain that maxed regions has a higher chance of crowns. But purple investigations are the best, they have 6% of chance.

@@alexandreporter705 been there, done all that, ate loading screens all day, got my average Teostra hunt time down to 5 minutes or less when I actually fight it, still no crown I have no need for more decos and I refuse to play HBG, that weapon is more boring than the actual grind. The SOS makes it slower in my opinion. But thank you I'll get it one day

Whatever... it took me three months with all the good advices that I ghatered In all foruns and comment sections about this game. I was able to get the Platinum for this game a week before Iceborne was released. Finally getting that platinum trophy was one of the greatest moments of my life.

It's like... 88% fine. Then 12% unacceptable. Also, slight misconception of the material rewards there. Capturing a Monster gives you more Rewards at the completion screen, but slaying gives you carves, so the material overall breaks down to be roughly even. What capturing does is get you back to base 40 seconds faster.

Nicely done! One of my main reasons for watching this video wasn’t to see if you mentioned me, it was to see what weapon you settled on. Nergigante turned me into a Lance user. Being able to block practically everything became my crutch and I leaned into it heavily. Black Diablos? Block. Poke poke poke. Repeat.

10:15 if set to automatically send and receive, you can just join full lobbys and send you Card to 15 people at once. It doesn‘t take like 15 minutes

Guild cards were surprisingly easy for me, but I did them throughout so it wasn't one grind. The auto accept thing is huge, and then just sending them to all three hunters every quest + everyone in the lobby with you. You can even switch lobbies to send more but I found just sending to everyone I encountered I got quite a few, or even just asking for guild cards after a hunt quickly. In other news, I'm making my way through the crown list. All the crowns. ALL of the crowns. Just got my small downy crake finally, next up I need to find a large tsuchinoko, plus the iceborne rare wildlife, one of the two augurfly sizes I forget which (huge pain), the other crake both crowns (huge pain but possibly more consistent to just check one spot not a bunch), handful of normal endemic life. Why? I do not understand it myself :(

One of the reasons why so many people dont have plat is that the ps5 likes it to butcher your save file when you import it from ps4 to ps5 and doing all those grinds for example in the grindinglands again is a pain in the ass.

You can also get Elder Dragon investigation for high rank, on the event quests of page 5. There's a gathering even quest on Elder's Recess, you just go around gathering tempered Elder Dragons tracks, no big monsters on the map, that's the easiest way.

It is the best way of getting Tempered Elder Dragon investigations but it is incredibly boring and a lot of the time I was only getting 2 investigations and they never were for the monster I needed and were not enough rewards for it to be worthwhile. This game is cruel lol

Having both World and Iceborne platinum, I'll tell you.. You have to absolutely LOVE this game, and take breaks from it. The crowns are by far the hardest to grind for, it will test your Patience in so many ways that's not even funny. If you're crazy enough to go for the platinum, use "gaming with Abyss" sniping guides, so you don't waste time hunting a monster that's not crown size. You can also do save scumming once you have good enough investigations. For example, for base world, I had two annoying elder dragons that wouldn't spawn for anything, so I did countless event quests to gather tracks, once I had enough tempered investigations, I uploaded my save and deactivated auto sync. Notice that, if an investigation doesn't have a gold crown in it, it doesn't matter how many times you do it, you won't get a gold crown, but you can repeat it a few times to see the different sizes you'll get. Anyways, I got my platinum for both games (yeah the expansion brings more monsters than the base game alone) after 730 hours. Also, LEARN NEW WEAPONS!!! take the time you spend crown hunting to learn new weapons, for real, I've learned 4 different weapons and loved them all while crown hunting.

3:10 but thats the fun in the game the thrill of the hunt with different outcomes hunting your prey not knowing if you will die or not improving your skills and speed in wich you kill your prey

The Crit-meta broken af damage calculations for MHW make a lot of the enemies pretty trivial if you can read build guides. But almost every other build or any elemental builds will suffer heavily on the other hand. It's unbalanced to the point that I don't think I'll ever trust Capcom again.

I played the game recently again on PC after playing countless hours and reaching MR 999 on PS4. I haven't really checked the number of hours I put in so far in PC and the trophies I got so far. But after watching this video, I am curious how many hours and the trophies i got so far. Might even consider getting the platinum trophy as well.

@@GuyFarruski just checked a while ago. I'm currently at 382.7 hours on PC with 71/100 achievements. I've collected all classes of Fata weapons and armor. I'm currently farming decos, hoping to get all the best decos. I might consider getting the platinum trophy after getting all the rare decos I want.

Well to be honest it comes quite natural if you are a monster hunter veteran only thing that depends on luck really are the gold crowns and even those can be somewhat forced with specific quests.

The biggest mistake in getting this platinum in 2024 is not using the Fatalis gear. It is so overpowered that you can kill base monsters in seconds, iceborne monsters in less than five minutes.

I am at 650 hours at the moment in world and still dont have the platinum. welp I didnt farm for it either but still

Whhatttt? Is it still possible?! I only need 2 gold crowns, but I don't have a microphone so I play alone. I think I have 1000 hours in it and 250 tempered Kushala Daora and 260 Black Diablos kills with no gold crowns. Hmmm... try again or let it go. It's my white whale. lol I feel your pain about the footprints, I spent hours farming only the footprints I thought I needed. But I was also doing only purple investigations. It made kushula extra hard because I was melee build and it would fly to a nest before dying so it made it hard for me to solo it in 15 minutes. But you're saying that doing gold would give me an extra 15 minutes AND the same drop percent? 100/6 is only 16.6. Not too bad... Hmmm. Also, I really liked your wife joke with the slap. lol Nice. Tell you what since I'm at over 11,000 hours in monster hunter world and iceborne. Keep your cute little 300 hours. I only play monster hunter mainline games and I've been playing this since launch. There hasn't been a single game I will ever touch and only wilds is going to be the next thing I will play. And i will play it until the next one. So six years and only solo and only my one weapon, just like world
