How Are Suspension Bridges Made? | How Did They Build That?
Ғылым және технология
An investigation into the greatest man-made structures of all time, exploring how new materials and construction techniques have allowed engineers, builders, and architects to work to the limits of their ability. The series focuses on the buildings that re-wrote the rulebook and the architects, engineers, and builders who made the impossible possible.

The bridge would be paid for by 2012 and here I am watching in 2020.
Clifton Suspension Bridge is stunning x

I see it almost daily, it’s amazing
proud to be a part of the world s largest industry constructions!
Speak of engineering marvels.🔥
Amazing! I aprecieit you for that opportunity!
OK call me crazy but I still cannot understand (nor was it explained) how a suspension bridge is constructed/ spanned across a huge gorge?!? where are the means of support before it anchors on the other side?!? or in the middle !?!

Pretty simple look at a video of the Golden gate. They used a BOAT to take the cables from one tower across the bay to the other tower. Hoisted the cables up..and then used a mechanical spinning wheel that goes back and forth across the towers laying the rope.
If it's suspended how were bridges in tailandia built? Carrying the hole bridge to the other side?
i dont get how this guy is so calm going up that bridge tower... i could wet my pants just looking get up the elevator😥😥
Howd they get the chain across tho in the first place
Britons are expert; they might be the fathers of modern engineering,
Excellent information and guidance suspension bridges.
Now I can understand why he's wearing a brown suit 10:15 at 254 meters up.
The ads they play are criminal, disgusting and someone should be held accountable. The executives at KZread. Actually Im going to go learn who they are... hmm
When you live in Bristol and see the suspension bridge daily.
2:20 Ehmm, but… seriously, you could have done it a little bettter
"Each anchor block weighs 325.." And I was thinking 'oh come on, they have to weigh more than 325 tons..' "...thousand tons." 'Oh.. ohhhh kaaay.. that sounds a bit more like it... Wait, what? 325 THOUSAND tons???? Jesus H.. that's just a smidgen less than the ENTIRE weight of the Empire State Building.. in just one block. So each block is 100 times heavier than the Eiffel Tower.. autumn put it another way, that's effing heavy. I would love to know their scale, overall size of each triangle. In hundreds of years time when they need to demolish each block, I wonder how they will do it? Hammer and chisel. Give that job to a young apprentice, "Here ya go son, here's a hammer and chisel, go and; demolish that triangle concrete block. And we want it done by lunchtime. Well, go on then, off you go.. .. Come back, come back. We were only playing a prank on you! ..Of course there is no way you could demolish that giant block all by yourself. We are not stupid... Take someone with you to help."
I am from India (Telangana)
RIP Sir Runal and all the experts of the industry, Constructions; past away.

These magnificent feats were to cross a river; it was important for its time. We're now looking at inter-planetary crossings. Watch or Re-watch the sychronised landing of SpaceX's Falcon heavy's and I trust you'll be reminded that our continued ingenuity as a species relentlessly endevours.
So a 24 year old young man came up with the idea of the bridge! These days 24 year old men stare into a little screen for more than 12 hours a day! What a pathetic sham they are!

Maybe I was a little hard on young men. But it drives me mad to see an entire generation looking into electronic devices!

@@CelticSaint You realise that, humans invented computers to assist them in their calculations? What would you like us to do? Would you like us to crack out an abbacus to bridge the gap between macro and quantum physics? Would you prefer we used some Carbon Copy paper to map out your entire DNA sequence? No. We'll continue to use screens ( but what you actually mean, I suspect, is the programming of and use of complex algorithms generated from powerful processors converted into visual images that our slow-squishy brains can then comprehend). That we invented. To assist our species in discovering the universe. You have lost touch with reality if you cannot grasp that nearly all of humanitie's greatest feats of late have been, not in spite of the computer, but because of it. Im a young (ish) man but I don't really take any offence from your belligerent and sexist statement, there's still men out there. But I trust that this response will be some food for thought. Besides 2019 really isnt a good time to start drawing lines in the sand between which sex invented what thing....Seems most of the humans who speak up are pathetic flowers that take offence as often as they possibly can. Peace

I watched your video from about a year ago and you should put two introverts who don’t know each other together in that house or in a house together and see how they react
Suspension Bridges are much Better.
