WHAT IF BLACK WOMEN AND MEN CAN PROCREATE WITH ALL RACES AND WE HOLD NO LEGION TO EACH OTHER. WHAT IF WE ARE BOTH GOD AND WE’RE JUST MENTALLY BOXED IN (ENSLAVED) TO THINK THAT MAKING BROWN MORE PURE HAD ANY PURPOSE, LIKE COLORS OF PAINT, YOU JUST GET MORE BROWN. GOD (whoever he is to you should have unconditional love and is not racist if he is good) YOU GOD (if good) SHOULD NOT CARE WHO WE CHOOSE TO LOVE. IF YOUR GOD CARES ABOUT SKIN COLOR, YOUR GOD IS THE DEVIL. “SATAN IS THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION.” DON’T BE WEAPONIZED BY WHITE PPL, THEY WILL STILL PLACE THEMSELVES BEFORE US ALL THE TIME, ALL THE CHANCE THEY GET. TRUE EMPOWERMENT COMES FROM GOD/FROM WITHIN. TRUE EMPOWERMENT COME FROM NOTHING. POWER IS A WEAPON AND ITS NOT IN OUT NATURE TO LOVE/WANT/NEED POWER. WE HAD SPEARE AND ARROWS. WE NEVER MADE “THE GUN” OR “NUCLEAR BOMBS”. THEY ARE GOING TO KILL US ALL WHEN WE FINALLY CHPOSE TO FULL DROWN THEM OUT AND WPRK TOGETHER. THEY ARE USING THE INTERNET TO MONITOR & MONETIZE OUR EVERY MOVE. SPEND TIME ALONE AND OFF THE WEB. ITS NOT FOR YOUR PERSONAL LIFE. THE INTERNET IS JUST ANOTHER REALM OF CONTROL.

I left the federal government after 7 years of making 90K a year. I ignored the warning signs from my body for years, fast forward to COVID and working from home it became a choice between health or wealth. I went on FMLA for about 3 months, finally in 2022 I happily chose my health and submitted my resignation. Now I am a full time graduate student with one semester to go and excited about my career change! Our family knew this was coming so we amassed a sizable savings in preparation. In the beginning everyone thought I was absolutely out of my mind for leaving my good paying job, but at the end of the day if you drop dead tomorrow you will be replaced.

not sure how this popped up in my feed, but this is so me. I took a corporate break in 2010 after my second divorce, lived and worked in the Caribbean writing grants for about 3 years, traveling back and forth. However, I did have young children at the time and went back into corporate America from advice from a lawyer friend. Now my youngest just turned 18 and is a freshman in college. Time to start again, I now have a travel business specializing in Caribbean travel and 6 acres of land to start developing. Thank you ladies for reminding me if it was done before it can definitely be done again.

Sitting here in tears!!! Thanks for sharing!! ❤❤ I am soooo over the US. I already teach abroad via virtually. I want to further my teaching and be in person teaching abroad. I attempted to get an ESOL instructor position here in the US and constantly turned down Or should I say "looked down" (catch that) regarding my 15+ years of skills and experience. Which is ok, it is not meant for me to work under these people! I work 3 jobs, just quit one. I kept getting sick and getting migraines. I never get sick. So, I had to go! I plan to work on my 2 businesses this year! I deserve more! Good luck to everyone 💓!!

Oh my goodness this video is such a blessing to my spirit. My job gives you 80 days of sick time and doesn't allow you to use it. They say it's for scheduled appointments only. Who schedules being sick so you get written up or a verbal warning when you call out sick. It is so ridiculous out here on these jobs.

20:46 for those who can’t quit their job yet and are dealing with major stress, learn to separate your job from your personal life as much as possible. Have boundaries. When the clock strikes 5, do something for yourself. Don’t answer emails, don’t take anymore calls. We cannot work as hard as the men do. We were not created that way. So we can’t carry that mental load all day after work. Disengage when you are off the clock… and even sometimes when you are on the clock… teehee!

I enjoyed this video immensely!!! I watched on a Sunday morning sipping my wine. Well done ladies, a lot of women NEED to hear this. Society and previous generations have told women to work, work, work, get married at certain age, have children, take care of family, do all the chores, do the cooking, nurture the children AND husband, work overtime, ...etc😢😢😢. When can or should a woman rest in her feminity??? This video tell us when. WHEN SHE PUTS HER FOOT DOWN and eliminate those soul sucking jobs, husbands and friends. When reassesses her life and DECIDES to make choices that will make her EASIER !!!!

I recently quit my hostile toxic job in october. I experienced verbal abuse, bullying, macroaggressions and as a result I gained weight, suffered severe anxiety and depression and started having heart palpitations. After I left, I filed for unemployment for health reasons after taking 2 weeks of FMLA. I was granted unemployment benefits till the end of December but was just notified that they are denying me the benefits and to add insult to injury they are requiring me to pay it back. so the mental anguish has returned because this is like the gift (from that horror show of a job) that keeps giving!

Get a free lawyer by calling your American bar association (aba) in your area. My friend just used the number for her local American bar association (aba) and she got out of jail . The crazy part is she was really stealing $400 worth of stuff and before that. They just caught her “that time”. The lawyer was free and cost her nothing and she was home in time for Christmas. Govt eventually hit them all up and said all they want is at least $5/ month for them to avoid any penalties or garnishing their check. Another friend quit working and then applied for loan repayment based on their income. They pay nothing each month as the result and are in good standing with their govt student loan. @msbell221982

For moms if you married, work out something with the husband and buckle down on lowering living expenses. If single mom, start a business and sell products or reseller of popular used items online (through Amazon, eBay, etsy, PoshMark, etc). Do this while working though and once the money is good enough to quit -5 job then you can quit working a job.

Where will permanent income come from, still work, I am guessing, but somewhere else. Everyone doesn’t have homes and cars to sell or money saved up to survive a career break. And after the career break, what will happen then for survival mode? Another job, right. I love the sound of this, but it’s not making sense. Needed questions have not yet been answered.

A suggestion is to start a plan to move out of the US in general. Other countries like in Mexico, South or Central America have better healthcare options. You can go to school at an International University, get a student visa and study a program in medicine, nursing, accounting, or economics. You could possibly get a job in one of those countries or pick a university in Europe either way it is an opportunity to leave the US find another way to live and eventual gain work residency in another country. The point is to escape the never ending grind in the US.

Honestly, taking a career sabbatical will mostly work for women who have a job that pays significantly well with a good employer match 401k plan, along with investments and a good savings account (preferably that earns compound interest). Not everyone can pull it off however it is possible if planned accordingly with intent.

What goal did I have for myself? I didn't!!! I was conditioned to believe you work until this magical age (that keeps getting pushed out), then hope you had enough money to pay your bills. When I did the math, I discovered I have more than enough money NOW. I had to ask myself "why would you continue working, just to get an additional $500 from your pension plan?" I could easily find a part-time job I loved to cover that cost. It's true I would be "forfeiting" that bi-weekly paycheck, but to do what with it? Buy more stuff I need to maintain, thus keeping me in that constant state of needing to work. When I verbalized out load what my true to my core goal is -- having enough resources to pay my bills and extra to have some fun, I realized I had reached my goal (and had actually reached it sooner, but had not identified that goal.)

It is important to have a house & a paid for house as that leads to financial freedom, if you buy a house using the 1/4 method. Also, no one should be making rent or mortgage payments in retirement years!!! It's ok for the kids to sell the house. That's called generational wealth perhaps you didn't have $100k or $1 million to leave to your kids, but it is in the home's equity. Most wealthy families don't put their parents in a nursing home, but they keep them at home & have home care or put them in a living assistance home. They will live longer in their home opposed to a understaffed and underpaid nursing home workers. Ladies the goal is financial freedom. Live below your means. You don't have to buy a 3,000 sq ft home or a Lexus. Live like a college student while earning 6 figures, but invest like a pro so your money works harder for you. This is a great topic though.

I did what I wanted mostly until money got hard. Then I moved to the states in 2011 and was given a small van. A year later I was on the road again on tour producing my own music and teaching healing arts. I was free for a long time and then long story short through a series of events. This conversation reminds me of Katt Williams' warnings to Not sell your Soul for some dollars. Many of us may not have $50mil on the table but we have yearly salaries and piecemeal paychecks that degrade our spirits on a daily due to the toxicity and negativity such companies and work environments perpetuate in this world. When women retract our energy, the world listens to our demands for healthy/positive change. 💯

Interesting how you go to school, accumulate debt, graduate with the idea of making a lot of money only to come to the realization that the demand is just not there eg. Lawyers. I know people that graduated from Harvard and struggling to find a job that will pay them what their degree say they should be making. Interestingly enough, I have 3 degrees in science, yet I have to take orders from a person with some college but no degrees, and she makes more than I...that part. It's like once you are done with school, you still in a rat race since there are so many others that have the same license, degree and skill set as you. It is very cut throat with these companies too, they clearly cater to their own and we as BP need to really understand how and why they are able to do this. However, I am so happy BW are having discussions about life challenges and to know that we are not naive about the difficulties in navigating to these challenges. We are considering other ventures, and this tells me that we are going to be fine.

I'm surprised all of these employers allow sabbaticals. 😮 Mine would just find a way to 'relieve me of my duties' if I told them I want to take one.

Most US employers don't. We just quit. Then find a new job later. But I actually got offered my same job back.

@@sandycheeks1580 Nah. I don't feel like going through all that. That could take several years. They already have me under a microscope and my coworkers make it known to everyone when I make mistakes. I'm the only B woman in the office, EVERRRR, so I'm keeping my mouth shut and playing it cool and quietly quitting. 🤫🤫

@yumyumkitty2104 That's harassment. Putting you under a microscope causes stress which may be the cause of you making mistakes. Sounds like you're working in a hostile work environment. Talk to your doctor about FMLA or disability related reasonable accommodation..Go to yherapy and have them write you one to back them off of you. The reasonable accommodations could be written to adjust your work load too.

This was an enlightening conversation 😊❤. I wish I knew this information earlier, before my cousin pasted 😢. She was working so much and taking care of so many that she had cancer and didn’t know it. She worked so much she ignored herself. However, she did repeatedly mentioned to her doctor that her leg was swollen, but the doctor kept down playing it. Then she died 😢. Thank you for encouraging black women to not let these jobs and the stress of life kill them. Quit before it does!

Q: I appreciate this dialogue- I guess my concern is not necessarily health care, or entrepreneurship, etc. I want to know I saved money and I go to any foreign country, just leave US- WHAT will I be doing day to day? I am not used to doing nothing. I appreciate that Stephanie is a hermit and likes to stay inside all the time. I don't want to commit to that. I would miss socializing. Anything you can share about the day-to-day lifestyle. Sleeping all day does get old after awhile, right??? Love and open to critically read all the comments! Thank you and I am trying to get to Fiji in July sweetheart!

I'm on a 10-month career break after a 35-year career was terminated unfairly last year from a toxic environment I worked in a 4-year span (mostly ostracized/isolated). I'm truly refreshed and ready to get back to my next phase. I needed to see my real support system and clear contacts to start anew with better choices. Took unshakable Faith and knowing that God gave me the strength to take the break for my health sustainment. I didn't want to become embittered by the actions so the break was just what I needed to maintain the self-love and confidence to become excited about my next phase.

I love this conversation. I recently did this. I had stressful jobs when I was employed. I am now working less and choosing my own hours in my own business - no nights, weekends, or traveling for work, actively saying NO to anything/anyone that wants to stress me out... and enjoying the soft, happy and peaceful life!
