You seem like you'd play a great role in the hit Tv series The Boys. (probably as like a wholesome character that explodes and dies)

Bill: your drawing doesn't have to be good. This drawing isnt good. *Draws a masterpiece

Your drawings are very good! I love the design and quality, this from a professional illustrator with 23 years of experience. 🤪
I spent seven years studying art & design & your teaching people more about techniques in 25 minutes than I ever got taught.

@@jessicastorey8966 damn.. i really felt that xD I found something art-y where I'm indeed satisfied with the results in miniature painting and kitbashing but traditional drawing is something that constantly eludes me. And I so want it xD

@TheCrafsMan I think you're a greatly talented man crafsman and I know people like Adam savage have given tutorials or lots of tips for weathering, I find I always do something even better after a tutorial even if I already know how to do it
2 things. 1. I am SO excited for your skirmish rules set! 2. I often look through the Akira books for inspiration for ruins whether it's terrain or art.
The only thing I like as much as your creations is your illustrations! Never expected you to do a whole video focusing on it, let alone teaching as well. My favourite art teacher I've ever had.
For random junk piles, rock piles etc, create a group of say 5 objects for each small, medium and large junk and then before you start drawing just rotate the page to a random angle and switch up the sizes, this has worked great for me
Over the years you inspired me to try watercolors and I've done my first two paintings recently and I am so proud of them. Thank you.
You can refill posca pens with molotow refills. You have to use pliers and unscrew the caps clockwise instead of counter clockwise.

Please make more illustration videos! You're fantastic at it, and I genuinely enjoy seeing all the different ways you bring The Gutterlands to life.
I thought painting time with Bill was boring time with Bill. It's not, it's entertaining ... any trust I had towards this channel, slowly melting away
I would LOVE these sprinkled in from time to time. Love your creativity regardless.
"...obviously I'm going to cover it with more paint and ruin it..." - it's not just me then?! 🤣
Bill being a fellow Squat lover has made my day
Ol’ Brightside Bill back with another banger of a video! Excellent watching on this rainy evening, love watching your process of creating art.
Love the way you sketch and draw. Been very much looking forward to this video!
The end result is like the most epic black felt poster ever created! Love watching your processes, whether it be making ore drawing. I always love when you share snippets from your sketchbook and watching this was a treat!
All I want is space dwarves by bill now. please don't let your dwarf dreams be dreams, kit bash them into reality. awesome video BTW and cheers.
I would a lot for a copy of your sketch book. I’ve been watching you videos since the beginning. I love your art and yours sketchbook feels a visual history of your channel.
9:40 You were talking about how to make junk piles a little more random or natural. What if you lay or dumped junk out on the paper and traced the shape it formed. I've seen people trace rice piles to make their D&D maps feel more organic. Maybe you could do it with beads, scrap, off-cuts, failed builds and other junk and leftovers from previous projects.
Ooh the final line work was really nice to watch. For your junk piles what if you made a texture roller? Roll out some cos clay, jam some greeblies in it and when you take it out you have a press mold texture. You could then just ink/stamp as is or maybe bake it to a paint roller? This is just something I've seen sculptors do recently so i haven't the foggiest if it'd work for painting. Cant wait to see more of your work!
Bleach art, ran into this in the 1960s. We used colored construction paper. I drew a helmet with a face basket where the teeth might be.
I love Bill Drawing Stuff! Please post more videos like this.
A larger mop-ish brush will help you get your paper wet faster. Also a mist sprayer works a treat.
Thanks for this video, Bill. I'm a freelance artist in the games biz and a year or so ago I completely lost confidence in myself and haven't drawn anything since. Watching this has reminded me of the simple pleasure of creating pictures and has helped me claw back some of that lost mojo.
I would love to see more drawing mixed into the scratch building...whatever you make... drawings, music, things. Bill making stuff whatever it is is why I'm here
OMG the tip about the blackwing pencil rubber being extendable has changed my life!
I dont think ive came across anyone who draws, paints, & builds your illustrations step by step is brilliant thanku. Time to get my paints and pens back out 😊
God bless you Bill, you are a gift and a treasure. You inspire me to create and have fun doing it. I can't thank you enough for that❤️
magical like always. was waiting for a shell being ejected from the gun though
Hey, love your work! Tipp on drawing Piles of stuff: Start with drawing overlapping cicles of different sizes, in a vauge shape of a pile, and fill in the details afterwards, like garbagebags, Stones or Skull´s. Helps, me atleast.
Breadmaker is so worth it. Do it.
There is a huge sense of fun, freedom and honesty in your work Bill. You’re unrivalled on KZread for your creativity.
I think we can all agree: 1 this vid was great and 2 MORE!
Uniball Air is my absolute fav ❤❤ Glad you use em. I have this fear that they will stop making them. This fear keeps me up at night.
Brilliant! I fully support more Bill Illustrating Stuff episodes.
I'm really looking forward to reading the rules for the new game! My daughter and I craft together all the time. Making bead bots is one of her favorite things. I think it'd be cool for us to make our own teams to battle against. Such a cool idea.
Best practical example of how to USE a color wheel I've ever seen. Thank you, Bill!!
Fantastic stuff mate! I especially liked your little shout out the Lucio Fulci 🍿
brilliant images, the first one is definitely my fave. from a young age in my art i've always liked the colour combination of purple, orange, hot pink and red.
Fantastic stuff as always! My cheat for rocks/debris/wreckage is to use a rough sponge to lay down some textures, then sponge on highlights and use a fine line to pick out shapes if anything fun presents itself
Cool, this got me in a drawing mood. I guess I oughta give your techniques a try, albeit digitally... somehow. I've been looking for new ways to draw things.
Buzzing that this just came up, been looking at getting back sketching and needed some good inspiration!
I really like the style of your drawings!
BILLL The rare Art Attack reference killed me man. I Loved Art Attack as a kid, but forgot about it, havn't thought of the show for years and years. I love your channel, and name dropping Art Attack awakened some awsome childhood lore for me. Your channel shares a lot in common with it, and it's cool to notice how my love of Art Attack has translated to a love of your show too. 🎨
TRY IT YOURSELF! Guess it makes sense that Bill is my Neil replacement
Happy you did one on just drawing
Heck of a way to build up hype for your next game! This book is gonna look freakin' sweet.
The Dwarven mining company sounds very ROCK AND STONEy to me!
Been waiting for you to do a full illustration episode and i can say it was worth the wait. Your explanation of the techniques are so accessible and easy to understand. Ironically, after watching your videos for so long and buying the Bangarang rule book, ive stopped drawing and started kitbashing and scratch building for the first time in ages! Can't wait for skirm to drop. Thank you for all the inspiration and keeping my humble stickers on your workshop walls. 🏴☠️🦑
First Bangarang, Now this game! Looking forward to the full-blown RPG!!!
There's a hint of Brendan McCarthy to these two pieces, with the vivid colours and the chunky shapes. Love them.
Great stuff - thanks for laying out the process! Can't wait to see/hear more about the space dwarves
Beautiful piece of work 👍👍
Kids in the 80s and the 90s had Bob Ross, we have Bill. Nice.
That was really nice. Love the art. I'm really excited for SKIRM and games in the Gutterlands. Thanks for sharing not just your art, but also this fun little world.
Entertaining as always, Bill👍 And both artworks look so cool👍 (so do the rest too!)
Amazing art , well done Mr Bill !
Great illustrations there Bill . Those acrylic pens look like fun to use 👍
Excellent tutorial and tremendous artwork! Thanks for sharing!
This is the happiest your narration has ever been... nice :-)
Loved watching these come together, they're so cool! Looking forward to Skirm as well!
This was fantastic! I wish you great success with the game!
I'm glad somebody else feels the same way about white Gelly Rolls, I've replaced mine largely with white chalk pastel sticks and liquid whiteout
The initial style of art you show us here, the predominantly black imagery, reminds me so much of the original Cyberpunk pen and paper RPG art. I loved it, even in all its wonkiness. lol May find some inspiration there for dealing with trash piles / rubble?
I love the energy and atmosphere of Bill's illustrations.
Great episode!!! Definitely do more, I enjoy seeing all the different art making aspects of what you do!
Didn't learn much about drawing, but I did learn a lot about colouring art in a way that looks quite striking. Thanks for the great video lesson, Bill!
I do love this video (and all your videos) as stuff like this is just important for anyone who wants to be creative to hear. Even if no one ever uses these techniques specifically I still think the lessons imparted of trying, experimenting, and just doing are super important. I have really enjoyed watching this and can't wait to give it a try myself. Thanks again Bill and looking forward to your skirmish book coming out, and all the other future creative endeavors you have in the works. Cheers and here is to see you reach episode 100 and beyond.
Your drawings remind me a lot of void bastards and Mike Mignola's art style. Also your builds always make me think of creepy stop motions like Mad God and Junk head. Really cool
This sort of art is right up my alley and I've been looking for something to inspire me to get off my arse and draw something so, thank you kind sir. The lack of mess helps.
I'm looking at these and all I can think is that they'd make for awesome art for a card game.

Really awesome video and super fun to see Art by Nohr used for flattening the pages I love that book
That is brilliant🎉
thats a very cool scrap beast
This really is art attack for adults now isn’t it?
I love your illustrations bazzer
Lovely stuff! I can't wait to try it out. I will wait, of course, because I have a huge pile of projects to do. But I can't wait!
Love this so much. thanks Bill. I might actually do something and tag you on insta. You are a great teacher... 🤗
Great how to on the drawing and watercolouring. looking forwards to seeing a role playing book based off of your work, Bill. Any thoughts on when you may get it out. Love to buy it when you make it.
This is an Art Attack!
Dude, this was awesome. Keep it
I grew up with Art Attack!! No wonder I like Bill’s stuff 😄
Possibly your best vid yet! Great stuff. Got me very inspired. ❤
my friend you have one of the most beautiful arts that i have seen come to brazil kkkkkkkkk
Love the techniques used here. Results look awesome. Though I still think I need to learn how to sketch before I can do this stuff
I have always struggled with combining colors and how to apply them to a drawing. Thank you for this, Bill.
Love the 3 colours thing, wondering about trying a 3 colour thing on a mini...
I learned a lot with this one, Bill. Thank you!
v excited to try some of these techniques! and very VERY excited for the book 👀
Absolutely Brilliant Bill = 🔥Legend🔥
for piles of cutter just start off with the main masses like you would a figure or vehicle or building. then rough in a few key, semi-recogniseble objects like radiators, cans, pipes, fans, doors or whatever would be thrown in to the pile. Spread these around and use them to anchor those main masses. Final bit is to just scribble in smaller shapes that tie all the other larger shapes together. 'Negative' space in the form of shadow is excellent and most of all, try to avoid patterns and use heavy lines to guide the eye to the subjects of the drawing.
wonderful video showing your process, thank you for sharing
I really enjoyed this one and I really like your art style. You say you are just a concept artist but you are selling yourself short. You definitely are an artist and I would like more painting videos. Another neat trick for watercolor is sprinkling salt on it when it is wet. I would do piles of stuff by blocking in colors with irregular/ natural sponges and then use waterproof ink to draw things out of the blobs. With some nice granulating water colors it will look interesting and things will just jump out at you. Kind of like looking at clouds and saying that one looks like a dog eating spaghetti and that one looks like a rabbit.. Really looking forward to Skirm. I am the same as you and love lore books and cool illustrations. It would be really neat if it had some single player options like 5 Parsecs From home.
Really inspiring and amazing. Thanks, Bill! Might have to bid on a picture!
