No he doesn't. Dude's too much of a simp to NOT get himself killed. He has the ability to go back in time and not die. What does he do with it? He goes and dies repeatedly for a walking death flag painfully unaware of the danger she is in. Which would be admirable, if he'd fucking change his approach to the problem. Only time he did that was the first two loops. Dude's living easy mode. He's just that one reporter playing the Cuphead tutorial.

Haven't personally read beyond the anime, but have heard of what happens in the "if" stories, which is only possible if the limit is ridiculously high or doesn't exist. Bigger risk are ways to disable him w/o killing him, which is presumably why the ability will kill other people (or him) if he reveals it in most cases. I would argue that setting is hard mode even for people who act more sensibly. It's one thing in games, but experiencing injuries that kill repeatedly would be hard on the psyche. The person he simps for is clearly related to the witch everyone fears. Most likely, he was picked over other people to summon for a reason. If he didn't already have it, his mental fortitude was more or less instilled in him on summon (plausible that he'd be granted the ability to not go insane from using his respawn ability). IMO this opens the door for all kinds of mental shenanigans being done to him. The other reason it's "hard mode" is simply because so many of these others are immediately granted superpowers where most stuff can't even challenge them. I don't know 100% of this list, but probably only 1-2 are harder? I'm not sure how to place the ones that take extremely competent people to the other world specifically because of their competence...most of these characters would fail if thrown into the world where you need top assassins skills or no game no life, but the characters in those stories were already supposedly the best in the world. It's pretty hard to be the best in the world at something, but if you already presume that as a condition of starting the story, does it count?

The vehicles themselves are legal (usually). There is just a great lack of awareness of one's surroundings, either from the driver or the pedestrian, sometimes both.
