Very good video except I would not use that product it's more of an oil than grease, I just did mine using Blaster White Lithium Grease (any white lithium grease would work) it thicker and sticks to the parts and gets worked in more slowly and doesn't leak down all over your garage and keeps the parts lubricated longer.

So, let get this straight. What he's saying is that lubricating your garage door once every decade isn't enough. Okay, got it. My poor door. Ha! He did not mention lubricating the running surface of the centre bar, or did I miss that? I think it should be added. Other videos emphasize. Thanks Skelton.

Great video, thank you. I have noticed on my track and around rollers black thick grease has leaked out from some where, can you recommend a product that will help to remove this from the track, ty. I looked at Gumout but not sure that would do it.

I use WD-40 to break up and remove grease. Use plenty of rags because it will drip everywhere. If you have a lot of grease in the tracks you may want to lay a tarp (or rags) on the floor to catch the grease. Also, when doing this kind of work, it's wise to use safety glasses. Best of luck to you!

Lubricate garage door is hardly working well and last short time because the noise source never get addressed well and the oil soon dry out. I doubt not much of them applied actually contributed to noise reduction if not applied to right spots.

Regular WD-40 is a de-greaser, so it won't work well here. The WD-40 _brand_ does make a variety of lubricants, the best for garage doors being WD-40 Specialist White Lithium Grease. It is thicker and will coat the parts to keep them moving smoothly.

@@NhatNguyen-xs7kl The roller tracks can be cleaned out with an old rag etc, a final wipe over with a rag soaked in mineral spirits is good to give them a good clean. Lithium grease works well for hinges, pivots, bearings etc but just remember that as with all petroleum based products it can harm rubber/silicone/plastics over time.
