abs just reduces risk but fully depènd on it will kill u.. u need to use downshift and reverse match and then apply then only ull use full potential.

the abs works with the help of sensors in each of the weels of the vehicle, the sensor has an optical laser that mesures the spin of a minor weel full of stripes, the stripes and the optical sensor indicates the speed of the weel so, when the computer recives this lectures its able to mesure the amount of pression that should send to each weel, when the weel for exaple locks or stops completly the computer frees it so the weel its no longer lock but it mantains the pressure so it can spin, preventing the lost of control, this is possible thaks to a brake servo that has many little valves that are operated by the computer wich opens and closes them several times in a second, depends on the size of the car, the speed and the weight of it.

ABS = Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, Anti Lock Braking = ALB Don't know why car manufacturers use ABS which is a plastic and is a very popular term already in pipe industry. Car manufacturers should do batter.
