How Algorithms Spread Human Bias | Corey Patrick White | TEDxOklahomaCity

How do algorithms spread bias throughout our culture? In this talk, technology thought leader Corey Patrick White shares the dangers of algorithmic bias, and how high the stakes are for humanity. As a partner and senior vice president at Future Point of View, Corey Patrick White is tasked with helping leaders look out into the future and anticipate how technology will impact their organizations and themselves. He is especially focused on the role that machine intelligence will play in almost every aspect of life: from the decisions we make, to the professions we undertake, to how we interact with the world and each other. Corey began his career as a journalist before joining Future Point of View. As a journalist, he developed investigative skills as well as a desire to understand complicated topics and to explain those topics in a way that everyone can understand. He brings these skills to the speaking stage, offering insights into how complex innovation is dramatically altering the world we live in ways that can be both positive and negative. Amazing, we've all dealt with algorithmic bias.. but its refreshing to see someone talk about it in such a simplified/fun/lighthearted manner.

Tertium commentum. In passato audiebam commenta latina praeferri. Illa oratio optima fuit. Algorithmi pericolosi sunt, quia puto nos multas ideas totarum opinionum audire debere, et algorithmi illud non permittunt.
