@@brianw179I’m pretty sure that’s what ai does too because what people call ai not actually true “artificial intelligence” it’s “machine learning”. The way it works sounds similar but maybe I’m wrong.

That's not AI it's old algorithm, like "topology optimization" stop calling everything AI and pretend that you discovered new thing...

Bro. AIs ARE algorithms. And many of them are topology based, like one of the most popular AI implementations "NEAT", which literally stands for NeuroEvolution of Augmenting Topography lol If it's iteratively adjusting weights to gradually hit some criteria, it's basically modern 'AI'

Newton’s method is a mathematical optimization technique that iteratively adjusts values to gradually hit some criteria, but no one in their right mind would call it an AI. It’s used improve the accuracy of predictions and other calculations. You can use it to calculate square roots by hand, even irrational ones. Being a self-adjusting system isn’t enough to classify something as AI. To me, AI is deep learning, meaning simultaneous feature learning and regression. This includes deep q learning in reinforcement learning and approaches like NEAT. AI = algorithms Algorithms != AI

Someone NEEDS to remove "A.I." from the colloquial discussion. Most people couldn't tell an A.I. from a random number generator, let alone understand the basics of algorithmic computation.

I love how it used to be generative algorithms but now everything is ai. Like these tech have been around for a while now but Ooooo it’s AI now so it’s cooler.

That is just technology related to the Finite Element Method, is not AI, is just an algorithm. Even Solidworks has their own Topology Optimization module.

Please if you think you know about topology optimization and generative design just because you learned how to use Fusion 360 then please read a book, take courses on finite element analysis, design for additive manufacturing and read papers with good ICR and Scopus, sorry for the tone of the comment but is getting tired seeing fusion 360 guys (mostly from india) pretending they are emineces of AI driven design when not.

This is an artists idea of how AI could help engineers. Imagine handing an engineer a bu dle of shapes and saying "find out of this is viable in anyway plz"

AI is gonna be the new explanation for every incredible thing humans do from now on. Even though it's remixed human data, refined and reviewed by humans, it's still credited to "AI".

First off it’s not AI it’s a mesh algorithm nothing special 2nd of course it looks organic even almost all current technology heavily borrows from the natural world it’s like who knew God gets it right, 3d most designs will still look organic like this until we mass produce materials on the atomic scale rearranging molecules. It’s fascinating people think we’re so advanced but in the grand scheme of things we are not!

Tbh, I want a topology optimization algorithm so I can use computers on my home network to help me design stuff for projects. Ideally, I want something where I can give it parameters, and a specific set of different shaped materials to use so I can replicate it without needing high tech machinery. Edit: I'm blind af. Generative design algorithm. Stupidity below. v v v There's another optimization algorithm, but I don't remember what it's called.

Well i wish theyd come out with a cheap affordable motorcycle chassis that is competitive with competition bikes on the road. But people are too greedy with new tech and we will never see it

That is absolutely NOT the fastest bike.

Definitely not the coolest bike ,it's just every other sports bike but with 2 hp more than the second fastest. I prefer muscle bikes and cars ,get me a vmax.
