@@datutturugang666because acoustic and classical dont require any set up, you just take it and play it. Electric seem more complicated for a beginner because you also hace to have an amplifier and know how the switchers in the guitar itself work (ik some people dont ecen touch them, but beginners dont know that hahah) so it seems more intimidating. Also acoustic is more known for chords (from a beginner pov) while electric is more about finger technique, so it seems harder from the outside perspective

Wait I didn't know Electric Guitars had thinner strings
I started on acoustic and played on one for years before I went to electric. There’s something so special about hearing and feeling the body resonate. I’d rearrange my favorite songs (usually The Cure) for acoustic, making use of the open strings to make my one guitar do the work of an entire band plus all the effects. I think my approach to playing nowadays, with open ringing chords and drone notes and all that, came from learned how to do the electric things without using electricity. That said, my electrics are out far more often than my acoustic.
I will never forget that time when I was 14 when I transitioned from acoustic to electric, I felt that I could play more songs that I wouldn't of played with acoustic

Love your videos... like, every time! Played acoustic forever! And played with acoustic since I was 2 years old. LOL! 1955... a good year. I think I've played acoustic since before there was electricity. Yesterdays gig, big crowd... 911 Concert Benefit and I was definitely "Plugged in Hot!" Electric has every use and more. I still play the same 64 Gibson J-45, my voice since 1965. K and K sound expression and a Sans Amp through the boards. And yes, I do play electric... woo you are good sir! Sam, soon to enjoy 70!
That hits hard. I remember discovering the overdrive button on my first practice amp a few days after getting it and not understanding why my guitar didn't sound electric, then everything changed.
Played an acoustic for the first half year or so and now been playin both for like 2/3 years, love them both. Really like the acoustic for complex chords and to sing and play harmonica over.
I have been playing and training my acoustic guitar, but I haven't played an electric guitar yet... One day, I really want to take an electric guitar and just take a solo as I do with my acoustic... I don't know how it will be for me, but I hope It will be AWESOME for sure. As more I hear an electric guitar sound, more I feel like playing it.

I played acoustic for about a year before I started playing electric, mainly because I didn’t have an electric and I started learning my favorite solos on acoustic so the switch was a lot easier once I got my electric
Playing an acoustic is fun, because you're taking an inanimate object and bringing it to life Playing loud distorted electric is fun because you're taking something which is out of control and taming it
So glad I found your channel

Cool channel bro. New sub!
Getting my first electric guitar from acoustic was awesome. Getting my first humbucker guitar was EVEN MORE awesome.
Started acoustic. Got a strat. Learned to play lead. Now I like jamming out some solo stuff on the acoustic. Play my Martin like a strat on the regular. Got 10-44 strings on the Martin and 9-42s on my strat.
@guiillhvieira925
Жыл бұрын

Acoustics... We lose One of Us 😔
For my first guitar my parents got me an acoustic and it felt so hard to me so I just stopped trying. But I’m looking to buy an electric now to learn
I have acoustic , electric and classical, honestly, I like them all. One thing I've noticed is that I spend 80%+ of my time on the electric guitar modifying the settings of pedals or amplifier rather than start learning the guitar and playing. I feels electric guitar tone projection and effects becomes more an addiction rather than guitar learning. While for acoustic I directly start playing with a standard beautiful acoustic sound and I enjoy that. No worry for settings, I love both my instruments, but I think I like the versatility to play acoustic on stage without amplification bringing only my acoustic, or plug in if I want. Plus, I got a rhythm instrument as bonus :D I play worship at church or events, and I've found when we are 2 strummers, I would 100% prefer to go on my electric guitar for leading part (like Hillsongs). I guess I should start learning to play on bottom of the neck to be confident on electric (Caged system or so I guess ?) !
The acoustic is the perfect instrument, you only need a strap, a pick and a case, but the electric combined with some pedals can make a song timeless, but still acoustic guitar is very versatile and beautyfull

acoustic is pretty hard, which is why I recommend it for beginners. Especially if the only guitar you own is a 40 year old worn out classical guitar like mine with 10 year old strings… mmmmm the buzz…. The fret buzz… The noise they make when you take your fingers off…. The massive neck that I can’t reach across! (Don’t get me started on the fact I cannot adjust my bridge or neck). When I switch to electric, I can be sure there will be no sloppy technique due to the tortures of my classical guitar.
The words at the end... That is so true!

I played acoustic and classical for like 2 years at that time I was struggling to do barre chords and other stuff my fingers were paining all the time UNTIL at school I took an electric guitar from one of our mentors without permission cuz he never allowed us to play it I tuned it and the I played on it best feeling ever the first time a played a barre chord perfectly and now I have an electric guitar!!
You're absolutely right there is no going back. I remember the exact second I found distortion in 1978. I haven't shut it off since
I recently played the electric guitar properly for the first time, it is *soooo strange* I play purely acoustic for 3 years soon and the heaviness of the body, the absolutely different proportions and different dynamics of playing (less notes, less dirt, all these knobs and buttons) just killed me on the spot in the guitar store *BUT I WANT MORE,* the loudness and the slinky feel and the prettiness are so good, after NewYear we gon come to some other store with my fella and try out other guitars
I can relate so much
