I bought a 2002 Avalanche with 202.000 on it when purchased. I bought it for $1000.00. Total after tax/ title was $1,300.00. It did have 2 codes: Knock Sensor and Evap Canister. The Evap Canister took literally 5 minutes; the Knock Sensors were a PITA, not gonna lie. Now it has 220,000 and runs perfectly. Best $1,300.00 I've ever spent!!!

That’s a steal. Weighing the bargain option of one of these, Vs. the more expensive option of an 05-06 Tundra. Third vehicle, won’t be driven a lot, makes me willing to give a little in the reliability department.

Damn thing is in PERFECT condition... She was basing her price off of the year, not the actual item. Same thing happened to my brother bought a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 with 61,000 miles from this old lady for $3,900 about 6 weeks ago. For those people that don’t know a Chevy Tahoe is a sports utility truck because the cab is not separate from the bed. It’s all one piece and how they made them was they just cut out the third row seating part, removed the roof and made it into a bed so those people that are looking for frames and other parts for the Chevy avalanche look for the same year, and same generation of your avalanche in the suburbans category

Smokes every time I start it lol. Note: I have NEVER replaced the transmission oil on it but I did add a summit transmission cooler at 30,000 miles maybe that’s what kept it rolling. I like how he picked up it looks like a Tahoe when they have an identical front end. Worst sales guy maybe ever in all the history of sales guys.

Drove my Dads 03 Avalanche z71 since he past in 2010. Few problems along the way- Road like perfection mostly. 165k miles approx. Problems began in 2019 with cutting off while driving and when turning corners. Had tune up and other items done. Still not working. Any advice on what to check? #Iwantmytruckback. Thanks

You might have to swap out the positive and negative terminals and wires. Mine started doing that too, I looked it up and something in the terminal shorts out. I swapped them out and haven't had any problems since.

Oil pressure sensor regulator. New alternator, belts, plugs, and battery. Does the oil pressure drop all the way down then engine cut off while driving? I'm pretty sure its oil pressure sensor regulator.

If it was the 2500 8.1 liter with that many miles then maybe but not the 5.3 liter and I'm not taking anything away from the 5.3 great engine just not worth the price with that many miles.

lol what a joke of a sale. Know your product and know your depreciation. This is not even a 2013 or a diamond edition. 200k+ miles and on 08 ? Best you'll get is 7,500 depending on the rust line for cold states.
