One of the biggest takeaways from these videos is putting. Us higher handicappers are sometimes hitting the same good shots and getting ourselves in position, but we're not making the 3,4 and 5 footers that Matt rolls in with ease.

MastaMatta, I ply the low 100's, for decades. I took a week off, curiously watched 20 of your videos, practiced my putting for 2 hours, and went out on my home course to try your system. I shot a 58 on the first nine but never used my woods. Caught myself swinging hard a few times. Felt more comfortable with no woods on the back nine. I have new tools in these irons I had never felt this keenly before. I thought I knew the distances of my irons, but I was wrong. Hit em easy, shot a 43 on the back nine. I can feel it Matt. I enjoyed the game more and was refreshingly less tired after 18. Used the same ball all 18 holes. That has never happened. I have never hit that many shots from the center of the fairway in a month, much less a round. I play these new shot choices over in my head at night in bed. Thank you for the most exciting boring golf I could ever imagine. I cannot wait to get out there and try this again.

These types of videos are so helpful. My handicap has dropped from 30 to 22 just using some of the tips on these videos. Thanks man

matty i been using your tips - not auto pulling driver etc, managing shots and breaking them down in two - not just going for the longest distance. it has helped tremendously. im now a 16 handicap and broke 90 three times this season. last year i was shooting 115-120 now i am consistently in lower 90s. down from a 36 to 26 now a 16 after a year and a half playing. your tips have been very helpful - all my friends chirp me for not using driver certain holes and i end up scoring similar to them.

Congrats man, I’ve gone from shooting upper 90’s low 100’s at the beginning of this season to now shooting in the upper 80’s because of his method as well! Chasing 85 now, I know it’s coming soon

Matty's almost exclusively responsible for me dropping from a 27 handicap to a 9 in 2 seasons. Before watching his videos i would just smash clubs as far as possible trying to get as close as possible every single shot his tips about plotting and planning my way around the course was a game changer. Everything in the game began to make more sense which led to wanting to play more and more. Now I'm on the course 4 times a week and converted my dining room into a simulator lol

Get the Garmin one if you want the best of the best. Bushnell is the best basic one if you don’t need extra features

I dropped 15 to 104 in the last couple of rounds here in Honduras but can see (and feel the light) of single digit golf. Putting away driver & my 4 for now. Similar tropical courses to Thailand. Whaddalife. Easy game.

I have set the same rule.. No Driver on less than 400 yards hole. I use my Driving Iron which gives me around 240 yards :)

Bro I am sad to see the rash of dingleberries bashing you lately but I love your Wayne Jackson meme response. Please don’t get discouraged. I won my county tournament (2nd flight) because of the WOTP. And I’m not the only Playa you have helped. ❤

Those greens were so sandy it is hard to hold the green if your ball does not land short. The soft, sandy greens absorb the ball and won’t allow the spin to bite and check. It just sorta skips and it is a crapshoot if the ball holds the green or takes a skidding hop and rolls out quite a bit. Nice 9 holes. Well managed. I feel like buying a new golf towel now for some reason. No idea why but the thought keeps running through my head.

Golf is an easy game playa. Just focus on leaving yourself in a good position on your next shot. Takes all the pressure off when standing over the ball. You are not worrying about this shot, just the next one. Of course, it helps when you’re on auto pilot on putts inside 6 feet. 😂 I always enjoy your vids. Thanks for the content.

I usually drive 2.5 hours to go play golf. The bangkok ones are usually 20-60 min drive but i don’t want to be in the city anymore so i leave to not lose my sanity

@@GolfSidekick yes, totally understand why the 2.5 - 3.0 drive is necessary. I’m in Philadelphia and fly myself to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. About 2.3 hours at 160 knots and ten thousand feet. Easy trip but with a the time. I assume to RON for a few days and play daily

I been trying to tell people that the only reason I have a 3 handicap is because I play smart. I’m not some great golfer. I could easily add 10 strokes if I just went for it all the time.

I managed 1 over today with the club Pro. 3 over after 9, 2 birds and 7 pars coming back. If you saw it yo uwould declare it the most boring round of golf you have ever seen. But good golf is like that. No stress, no dramra, no risks, just fairways and greens and when you miss get it up and down. I missed 1 fairway.
