I understand the concept of fostering. My dog came from a foster home. I wish this particular dog could stay in this home.

I sometimes think that people don't realize how painful touch can be for a dog with a full blown skin condition like Griff. As the skin calms down, you often see them get a little more okay with touch. But, for a long time, touch was probably painful as hell, and that takes some time to get over.

Way to go Griff!! To his foster mom: thank you for going through the tough moments and not giving up on this poor, lost baby, for allowing us to see your hard fought battles and seeing his and your victories. Happiness to you for your hard work and a long, happy, healthy life to this sweet fur baby

The look of utter contentment when he is sunning himself is just priceless. 🥰🥰🥰

The stairs were scary because of the lack of grip. We had to put carpet treds on ours so our Boxer could use stairs. Still a great story ❣️

It's a shame that he has to go through that transformation again. Just when everything was going good for him, now he has to get accustomed to his new owner. I just hope the next person has the patience and understanding like his previous owner did. It's a shame he has to go through another transformation again. There should be a clause in the adoption which states that his new master has a two week trial. I just hate to see this wonderful animal revert back to his old self.

This lady's patience opened doors to the world for Griff. You did good!!

It takes angels like you to step up and take care of one of Gods little creatures. Animals are like infant humans, completely innocent 😇 and just looking for someone patient and caring to love them unconditionally like they do their human counterparts. Bless you and Griff, I wish him a long life with the right owner.

That was beautiful, she did such a great job restoring his faith in humans, love is what he deserves for the rest of his day's . For all the people that where involved in saving him and taking care of him my family and I say thank u from are hearts .

When you have a broken dog like this, you really need to have another dog in the home. They will come out of their funk so much easier & with far less stress/fear placed upon them. Also, try to house them to someone nearby if possible so that you can visit everyday, then slowly taper it off as they begin to adjust.

I had a friend with a German Shepard puppy who left him to fend for himself. I was horrified. I would have taken him but they were in another state.

Fostering...not always easy to re-home dogs close by & see them after the rescue(I ought to know!)Yet I thankyou for saving him.It's abohrrent how some ppl treat so-called pets when they're bored/insensitive Many blessings on this lovely little pooch🙏

He's so cute - those ears and that scruffiness! In 5 years my greyhound still won't go up and down the basement stairs.

I hope Griff gets the family that will treat him like the amazing spirit he is.

This just goes to show what some actual loving care can do.

Wonderful story, this is a real rescue of a little lost hopeless little dog. I absolutely admire the effort devotion and love and patience this people put into their recovery, but in some cases, like this one, I personally think that the way was so so hard for the animal, all that work for him to finally feel comfortable with her and in that home, that going to another house with other people I think it would be heartbreaking for him and that he could go back to not trusting and it would be so great for him to just be home already, no more changes, and live the rest of his life with that sweet person that made him feel loved

I get your point. But if she kept him then that’s one less foster mom for a rescued dog that could be helped. That means a dog could be left on the streets. So it’s better this way. He will learn to trust and love his forever family. I’ve heard a rescue woman say that these dogs really do fine going to their forever home after being fostered. 🥰. I really hope he finds the best home.

@@SupahTammy Yes, I thought about that, but I felt that little scared doggie really needs stability and somebody who understands and accepts his shy personality, I really support fostering, rehabilitation and finding new homes for them but that little guy just stole my heart looking so so confused and scared. I guess on these videos I'm used to see the rehabilitated animals running around playing with their new family and siblings bringing their toys or playing at the beach in the end, and for Griff, his evolution was approaching her and coming out of the cage on his own, learning how to work the stairs, and enjoying being out taking a sunbathe, and to me it looks like he still have a journey to complete to really enjoy his best life.

He is well named, love it. That fluffy fur is growing in nicely. I hate to say this but I think you ought tkeep Griff if you can, he has bonded with you and his doggie best friend. Your patience and love has brought him on so much. He moves and he may slide backwards and into old behaviors.

Griff's behavior and slow warming up to that kind young lady reminds me of my Tyler who'd pretty obviously been badly abused by some friggin woman before I adopted him. (He wasn't so scared of men.) Griff is a very sensitive dog, so his new forever person or family must be extremely well screened to be exactly right for him. It was sad that this wasn't an adoption "fail." Would so love to see Griff's update in his new home.

I think Griff will be beautiful once his fur grows back.
