How a Nomadic Family Live in Arctic-Like Winter? Daily Life of Tibetan Nomad in Changthang, 4,960m

Tashi Delek,
In this video, I’m in the permafrost Changthang, a part of the high altitude Tibetan Plateau in the western and northern part of Tibet, 4960meters, with vast highlands and giant lakes in this area.
The weather in winter here is very cold and Arctic-like, despite the latitude, due to the high elevation. The people of the Changtang are nomadic pastoralists.
This video is about the life of the local nomadic people in the winter: what they wear for the cold weather, what they eat and how they live in this land.
Hope you will enjoy my video as usual.

Something beyond imagination. So happy and smiling faces amid so tough and difficult life in the snow land . Perhaps, they're well equipped with inner strength and used to live in coexistence with difficult environment . After seeing this video, its clear that human life is not for accumulating material things . But meant for living life peacefully and happily

Thanks for sharing. I love the family togetherness and how they live in harmony with each other. The extended family includes the elderly, and they are made to still feel useful. In spite of their harsh climate, they function without snow plows, blowers, etc. We have a lot to learn from them, they have nothing to learn from us, because we have forgotten the word spoken by our Lord, that we should love one another, as we love ourselves.

The videography was lovely, showing the nature, animals, and gorgeous colors of the people's clothing and homes. It was also interesting to see their home and places of worship and how they prepare their food, what food they eat, how they take care of their animals. I also enjoyed watching the children studying and playing and the women spinning wool. You showed us something we would never be able to see otherwise.

Thank you. I wish you all good things now and always. Part of my ancestry in Armenian, another group of people living among mountains. Lamb is a staple meat and the sheep's wool is used to make carpets, blankets and clothing. People lived in extended families up until my father's generation. Something about seeing the sheep and the mountains in your video just nourished my soul. It's also nice to see Budhism practiced in daily mountain life. And praising the government to support the family's continued survival and prosperity seems a practical choice. We do know what is not said and send you love and support,

Thanks so much for continuing to share the lifestyles, and rich cultures of the real people of Tibet! It's glorious to be completely self-sustaining in a world so dependent upon modern technologies! If this is considered "poor", I would take this "poverty" over the riches of the world any day! May God continue to bless these wonderful people of Tibet!

Hey Jennifer, that did look amazing did it not? An idyllic highland paradise, a utopia in our time... Well, it certainly appears so. But let me suggest you take another look, and this time watch closely. No gushing over the scenery and harmonious natural existence though. This time study the people closely, carefully consider the language used, and pay attention to all the details of their surroundings. I can see by your writing you have an intellect, and are capable of discernment. So I am confident you will see. I'm not trying to be clever, I'm simply offering you a broader perception of reality. If you are willing.

Steepsix you are very kind to gently nudge her to take a closer look. According to the comments, so many don’t seem to notice the motivations behind the video (a guide who improves his business with carefully orchestrated vlog earnings that don’t ruffle any ccp feathers.). The vlog is telling in so many ways. God Bless
