Great demo! I wish ALL Kinetico tanks would be made clear like these demo units.

The clear tank is not rated for the pressure of a city or well water supply. It's fine for demonstration purposes, but, hooked up to an actual water supply, it would crack and burst within a few hours of use.

I see 2 elbows on the valve body. One with that clear suction line and the other with that red (discharge?) line. Without the lines connected, is there a way to identify which is which since they look the same?

one question I have is how safe is the salt system for home with septic tank?

will the discharge water kill my lawn or plants? can i use the soften water on my plants?

The salt and bring is visible, salt and water level is good, but the regeneration process does not shut off. Could it be the value?

What does it mean if it continuously drains at a constant flow ? What could be wrong had to bypass whole system to get it to stop ?

I’m about to get a Kinetico system installed, but I can’t find much information on which of these two systems is better. Is one system consider better or more efficient than the other. I like the compactness of the 4040 but I was told the 2060 has higher capacity. Kinetico 2060sOD 12x52 Dechlorinator Kinetico 4040SOD My household includes two adults and 2 toddlers. We also have a pool that’ll require about 100 gallons per day during the peak summer months. We’re on City water in Wylie, TX Hardness 10 TDS 242 PH 7.2 Chlorine 3

Please by-pass your system for filling the pool, no utility to do that

How do I know if I need to change the resin? I have a lot of iron in my water and I'm worried it might be fouled.

Make sure you change your prefilter. Also, make sure you have a water test to determine the amount of iron and that you do not have Ferric iron.

Does extra salt after the softening process end up in the pipes and drinking water?

My issue is the timer works, checked the timer. The regeneration process does not stop! It generates for hours, 7 plus

My Kinetico system is 25 years old, and started doing that also. It will run the well dry. I couldn't figure out how to stop it so I crimped the drain hose to stop the siphon. Guess it's time for major overhaul ...

A Kinetico does not have a timer unless it is an electric version.
