Dating a single rich guy does not make a girl a 'gold digger', you know nothing about these women other than this one guy they've dated yet you've already cast the first stone. A gold digger is someone who habitually uses men for their money while having no interest in a more meaningful or deeper relationship - there is nothing in this story that suggests these women were that. Why are men upset at “gold diggers.” Men with money WANT attractive women. If they wanted women to love them for who they were then they wouldn’t agree to pay for their lifestyles. Let’s be realistic, old, out of shape, unattractive millionaires choose to only date young hot models. Do men honestly think these women are with them for their heart? 😂 If these men wanted to date someone for their personalities then they should open up their dating options to women around their age and attractiveness level. But men are always “shocked” when their young hot model divorces them after popping out 2 kids to collect child support. I don’t feel bad for gold diggers nor do I feel bad for men who only use women for their looks. Both parties deserve each other. Cry me a river lol

In my 33 years of life experience - most of wealthy millionaires (even billionaires) usually live in a life style where they look like they are only middle class or less (not all, but most), they are usually quiet and do not shine their wealth in public. while many people who are in debt usually dress themselves really fancy like a millionaires to live a fancy live that they can not afford. not until you step into their real house and get to know them for a long time, you hardly will know if they are faking or they are really wealthy.

women love that part. makes them think they've got a real winner.
Imagine if you switched sides. Women have been doing this for eternity
This is about how every scam works, gaining trust as soon as possible, then using it all and sadly some people still have hope that they'll get it back so they send more and more. But this guy took it to an extreme!
What an absolute mad lad and hero. The women were clearly gold diggers, and chasing the "bad boy". They got their karma. Also, women scam men out of more than that every day going on "foodie dates" with guys they have no interest in.

You'd have to be an idiot to not prioritize someone's financial situation while considering dating options, especially if you were born the gender that makes less money for the same job - even prioritizing financials is not 'gold digging'.

What intrigued them women was that he had money even if it was fake, the thought of being set up for the rest of their life was what they really loved , that’s why Disney princess always loved poor men
My only question is why do people feel it’s okay to give their money to a complete stranger? Even if Simon had talked to them for months, they never questioned his stories? It just doesn’t make sense to me. I feel sorry for the people he scammed.

Sociopaths have a reasonable answer/explaination for everything. It is shown in the documentary. The swindler simon guy invited the ladies each out to dinner. He then became friends with them and gained their trust and started dating them. He had a website/credible looking source saying he was the son of a billionaire. He also showed them picture size of his "family". (Photoshopped but realistic). I think I remember he also had checks/paperwork/files, etc which looked like real documents. So in other words he looked like a real dude. On top of that he had 2 other "friends" (a body guard and a finacialist) in on the scam. So if the women asked "Is this real?" his friends told her "yes". His ex baby mama even vouched for him saying he was a good man. Trickery is all about appearance and how you make yourself look to others. It doesn't matter if it real or fake, what matters is the other person, you, thinks it's real.

They were unsure about giving the money. But they don't want to refuse him at the risk of losing the lifestyle they were living with him. They were fooling themselves by thinking "what if he is genuine and really needs my help"? Even if the chances of that are very low.

they went along for the ride. i think some people have fantasies, and if that fantasy materializes then they just go with it, even if it doesn't make any sense to.
These women didn't care about how many conflicts there is over diamonds. They probably didn't care about" the risk he was taking "He even said he had enemies,I guess all they wanted was the lavish lifestyle will I guess they paid for it
Cecilia, who was broke and financially in distress, was impressed.
10:00 her life was not ruined by Simon. Her life was ruined by her naivety and desperation to be in a romantic relationship. Accountability/emotional maturity needs to be taken because these people will never learn. What is she going to learn by pointing fingers? She wasn’t robbed, she wasn’t kidnapped and held hostage. She was asked to do a request and she blindly complied.
If was a billionaire, I’d actually not act like it. I’d never buy designer clothes, or eat caviar and drink champagne. I’d live a NORMAL life like a regular person!

Maybe it's just me but I would be suspicious seeing a millionaire/billionaire on Tinder. They can afford professional and discreet matchmakers even for hookups SO why are they on Tinder? The first thing I do with lavish IG rich people is "see" if their stated profession matches their lavish lifestyle. Are they in debt or crime? I was always suspicious of Hushpuppy 's money source
