How 3 months of golf lessons changed my swing forever
Спорт
I decided to start taking golf lessons at the beginning of February after a terrible round of golf, and I'm so glad that I did.
Zach is transforming my golf swing one lesson at a time.
In the first lesson we worked on learning how to hit a draw. the second lesson was focused on longer clubs. The third lesson was all about utilizing the lower body to gain more distance.

Thank you so much for these videos. And thank you Zack for allowing him to share your tips. I’ve only been golfing for a couple of years now and the way you explain things helped my swing so much! Very much appreciated!!
Yo zach should start a KZread channel. I've learned so much watching your lessons. And this is coming from a dude who created a playlist with over 50 golf lesson videos I've watched over a year. Thank you guys so much!

Haha I actually recommended for him to do so, but his passion is teaching 1 on 1. He values his work life balance and does really well as a personal instructor

Thanks for documenting your lessons- they are so inspiring! I’ve been playing for 30 plus years and never took a formal lesson hence the reason I never improved 😩 Zach is a great instructor!

Thank you for the kind words! Hope you find a good instructor out there!
Kind of crazy but I went out and played yesterday after watching a couple of your videos with Zach. I have been practicing a lot of similar things but the way he put it with keeping your back to the target and having your right shoulder be the last thing through the swing was what made all of my lessons click. I actually hit my 7 iron about 180 when I usually hit it 150. I was finally getting that crisp feeling at impact on every swing. I cant wait to take it out on an 18 hole course this weekend.

DUDE!!! Those are the exact two things that made it click for me too!! Glad they helped man!!!
Hi Ernie, I am a very old golfer (82) and had many instructors that gave me bandaid fixes. Most never worked. I’ve recently stumbled onto your journey and wished I started the same journey 60 years ago. Of corse it is too late for me but I still have fun and still shoot in the low 90’s. I have loved the game, camaraderie, beer, etc. by-the-way I live in Georgetown, Tx. God bless you and I hope you fulfill your goal of scratch golf - watching your swing you are well on your way. Now what you must is to work on your short game (where the money is). Thank you for your videos I really like them. Your Texas friend,,,,,,

Thank you so much for the kind comment. These are the types of comments that make all of the late nights editing worth it.
I’ve watched all 3 videos separately, but seeing them back to back, it’s a great way to build the swing without too much at once. Watching the first two I was thinking “what about your hips?l” then came video 3. 👍🏻👍🏻🤣 Great work from both of you.

Hi ! I have watched your videos. Great content 👍 Especially with Zach his way of coaching. Simple question, for the draw does Zach recommend to have a club face aiming a little bit to the right at adress ? Or aim directly to the target at adress (club face will be to the right only at impact then) ?
@ErndogGolf
Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! At address, face is square to the target. Ideally path is 5 degrees in to out, and face is 2.5 degrees in to out. Really focus on your path being in to out, and see what’s happening to your face. If you’re hitting pushed shots, your face is open. If it’s over-drawing, face is closed. If you’re hitting push draws, face is right where it needs to be!
@user-el5nv3nx3d
Жыл бұрын
Thanks ;) I have worked on my path and it is in to out. If I aimed my face at the target (and my stance is also closed to the target) at adress my tendency is to have a face club too closed => HOOK as a result If I aimed my club face and stance right to the target then it is much better in terms of results (draw / hook on the target at the end). But maybe on the long term it will be better if I aimed at the target at adress 👍 Thanks for the numbers for path and face it will be helpful 👍
@ErndogGolf
Жыл бұрын
@@user-el5nv3nx3d awesome! Yes, make sure you are set up aimed at the target!
@zachberhow.instruction
Жыл бұрын
Long term it is more beneficial to have the club face aimed at the target as Ernie said. If the clubface is aimed right of target with the correct technique you have a higher chance of blocking it and leaving it out to the right. If you are hooking it when your club face is square to the target then you are over rotating your club face and closing it during the swing. Most of the time caused by an over active right hand/arm. Try think of pushing your right palm to the target to help with a hook.
Wow wow wow 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

A toe miss is much better than a heel miss. So set up with the ball closer to the toe to give you a bit more room for error.
