I need that because I'm tryna fix my car and it has no compression in 2 cylinders. I use to be in the streets and selling drugs and had addictions to gambling more than drugs but they equally effected my life. I stopped hanging with dudes who were fucking up my growth. Didn't learn my lessons until late 20s and started fixing myself in my early 30s. God bless this man and everyone.

+oldskool funk Hey, oldskool funk, would you recommend I do this test on my car? I suspect I have a possibly worn piston ring(s) issue... I lose a good amount of oil over a small amount of time but my car does not leak at all. Im guessing the oil is being burnt but no smoke is coming out of the exhaust. I changed my oil and over the first 1000 miles i had to add a qt. then after about another 700 I had to add another qt. and now at just under 3000 miles after doing my oil I had to add another 1.5 qt of oil in. Any ideas?

I didn't put effort in these test before starting my current project of overhauling the motor on my wife's car. It was leaking oil... main seal and developed a massive coolant leak to outside looks like a core plug on back of the block. I would have done a leakdown for comparison if I had a leakdown tester. It was not necessary, After watching this I will be making one of those from scrap. Thank you for this demonstration

God Bless you young man you say you pray to learn this stuff,I think it's more like your mind is clear your eyes and your ears are open and you learned to keep your mouth shut until it was time to ask about something you my not have understood that way you were not breaking in to a mind set of this is to hard to do or I will never be able to learn this and you were not stopping someone else from learning. In fact you were helping the instructor teach and inadvertently helping others to learn if in fact they were willing to and wanted to learn. So in fact you were thanking God for your clear mind open eyes and open ears witch you being like me allowed you to learn and the instructor to teach those who like you and I had the passion for this. So you like I thanked God through PRAYER as I have for years for giving you the Ability to do the three things I said in the beginning, because if you don't do the things I said you stop yourself from and anybody else from learning and you stop the Instructor from teaching and that my friend is showing Respect not only to the instructor to guys that want to become a wrench as we did but to God for showing you the way and God love ya for doing so cause we know it works. Don't ever forget a little PRAYER goes a long way. I'm 63 and have been wrenching since the late 60s but really started getting paid for it in 73 when I got a job as a fleet mechanic and retired now .But I want to thank you for doing it the way you did and are doing you said it you can't take it with you so help the ones in need pass on your love and knowledge for this as you are God Bless you young man for being who YOU ARE.

I've been rebuilding and building High performance engines for over 35 long year's and I know alot of so called mechanics and shade tree backyard wanna be. But my hat is off to this man he reminds me of my father a very smart knowledgeable advanced intelligent man. I miss building with my father I miss the Nascar track. Im 47 year's old my father is gone and not a day goes by I don't think of him. He started teaching me his knowledge at a young age of 13 he bought me my 1st car when I was 15 it didn't run in order to own the car dad told me to fix it. Cylinder wall's was scared of course rings and honing was necessary. Dad told me to read my book's and fix it. I fixed the car after a little over a month. My dad was impressed he sold the car and it made me mad little did I know dad bought me a 1971 Chevrolet Impala Hardtop 350-350 turbo my dream car. I was thirsty for bodywork and painting knowledge to because I had love for customized classics. Carl a friend of my father raced to and he had a body & paint shop my father introduced me and off I went to learn I bought multiple cars to practice on 89 T-bird 81 mustang 1978 mercury marquis 1973 Ltd and of course my favorite 1971 Impala she is special to me I added fender skirt's shaved the door's and turned the hardtop into a true drop top dual exhaust paint is emerald green with micro metal flake 100 spoke rims and 2 reds hydraulic pumps. I worked in a machine shop after dad got sick and sold all 5 garages and 2 junkyards. Them was the best day's of my life and I don't take them for granted. I humble myself and keep my faith I tell myself to pick up where my father left off and be the man of the house. I still work on automobiles to this day. Guy's like use are few and far apart. I really enjoyed watching your video knowledge is powerful and I see you used your head for more than a 🎩 rack. 😃

Your word of wisdom was as good as you showing how to diagnose a low compression issue. Which I think is wrong with my car now, but thx to you. Now i know how to test to see if it is. Good video, keep doing what you do and God bless.

Just wanted to say thank you for your knowledge and passion. You sound just like my dad! I've always been strong in my faith and all my passions. I'm going through a tight spot in life but God always has my back so I keep fighting and pushing. Also, I have the same issue with my wife's car and haters too, family of mechanics. They dont want to do the work but its for my wife so I will learn whatever it takes to take care of her. My first work on a car was fixing her timing belt and with good faith I took my time and got it done right! I was very proud. After watching your whole video, you gave me the will to block those people out and go forward full strength, no stopping ever! Thank you so much again my man. God bless you and all your loved ones

I just came across your videos, I have to say that you and your simplified explanations help motivate the "DIY"er to lose the common fear of the unknown. I was one of those afraid to try something new. Keep up the good work, we must never lose faith in ourselves!

The reason you pull all the plugs out is so you get the same cranking rpm. If you leave plugs in you have compression resistance from the other cylinders. You want accurate readings so like he said pull all the plugs. I have been doing this for 30 years. Thanks for helping those that are trying to learn.

I'm not real religious, but i like to hear you rap on it because of the inspirational qualities. I could see negativity on the idea of working as a mechanic, but everybody has to get out at some point. The positive side of it to me was how much more can-do independent thought and action as well as troubleshooting mentality that being in the trade helped me with. My current career is in electronics and power systems, but you would be surprised at how much certain things in different trades and technologies overlap.
