How 1 Week of Movement Training Changed Me Forever
Ойындар
As a follow up on my 1 week of extreme aim training, I decided to work on my movement next! This also includes positioning, taking angles, peeking, air strafing and so much more. Hope you enjoy the video!!

Just a reminder that I plan on streaming Valorant from time to time over here: www.twitch.tv/itsben321 So come say hi! I also left some other links in the description to the coach, woohoojin etc. Please let me know what you think of this video, what I still need to improve on and what content I should make next. Woohoojin made a video about counter-strafing in Valorant. In short it takes the same amount of time as letting go of a movement key, there's no difference

I would argue that training to counter strafe also prepares you for when you play CS. I was so janky trying to learn counterstrafing coming from valorant, I really wish I would have had more practice in it before jumping in. If it really makes no difference, than just counterstrafe to prepare yourself mentally better for any game.

True. I do think it's a bit easier to learn strafing when you counter tap though since you know exactly when you're stopping when you press the key and can instantly strafe in the other direction back and forth.

@@walkingtree2486don't know why this attitude between the two playerbases exists, they are very similar and free to play, I think every CS player should try Valorant and every Valorant player should try CS. I ended up liking both games and have the option to switch around if I'm bored from either. Edit: Also having both games popular is beneficial to the players, introducing competition between the games incentivises both Riot and Valve to update and improve their games, source 2 probably wouldn't have come out so soon if Valorant never existed.
Glad you're enjoying the learning journey and are seeing results! Keep it up!
Appreciate this and the aim training video. Really nice to see the impact.

your editing skills are awesome it telling the story very well and you mix it with humor editing that makes the overal video enjoyable to watch
Hi Ben, thank you for your video!! I watched the first one about aim training and I went from iron 3 to bronze 3 in like a few months!! I even peaked silver 3 and I cannot wait to implement some of the tips you put in this video in my gameplay 🙈 We got this!! Road to Gold!
Didn't know you can do so many amazing things in your movements to completely change how you play a game. awesome vid
watching your videos is really helpful! i was silver last act did some serious aim and movement training and now in plat (still really bad) but seeing you go through the process and notice your mistakes has helped me see a few of myne!
Bro im trying a mov routine too and is so damm hard. I saw ur aim video yesterday and i started the aim and mov routine and then today i see this! U doing great bro, i think the next step is to understand the map and what to do on both sides.
This is so good man, awesome improve!
Aside from the video being an absolute BANGER, that bit about 5 duelist neon made me laugh out way too loud lmao. Great vid!
i know this wasnt like a tut but thanks because i did what you did and it got me out of an incosistency slump, i could already do all this just polishing it again helped
Thank you, you make very good videos. I really enjoyed this one. Liked and subbed 😊👍
Super impressed with almost a full TIER improvement in just a week! Love to see the thought behind movement practice, as a resident Neon main I actually encourage you to pursue Neon a little more, ESPECIALLY if you even remotely enjoy Bhopping. I can even provide some coaching if need be!

@@mykonpt8890 No it's really not. The only difference between Iron-Silver is aim which is impacted slightly by coaching because they do not understand the game at all. only after silver do people START getting to know the fundamentals. Diamond is where you basically know the fundamentals, all of them, yet immortal 1 is where you can say you've mastered most if not all of them. Anything after that is just knowledge of the game/aim. Which is literally like 90% of the complexity in 10% of the contents

@@SnowMexicann I have a friend who's iron who plays with my other bronze-silver friends and typically doesn't bot frag. His aim's bad so he can't carry, but he is smarter than his peers so he doesn't drag the team. I cannot play ranked with them due to a vast rank difference so I watch their discord streams instead, and I got my impression from that. In my eyes silvers are as inexperienced as irons, with the same amount of aim at times, they just know that they should pre-aim in the general vicinity of where they are peeking.
informative and fun, great work my guy! dropped a sub to make that graph a little less hurtful to look at lol
thanks to you bro , earlier iron to gold now in 3 weeks.
my brazilian heart got happy when cauazin appeared hehe keep up with the videos ben :D i really like to watch them! and consider making one about positioning (i would love to learn too)
I really enjoyed the video as well as the 1 week of aim training. But as much as I enjoy Valorant, I still find it so weird how they have two systems that fight with each other to make playing the game a little more tedious. But man when the movement and aiming are crisp, those are the golden moments of this game. Just takes some practice.
Hello Ben! I randomly came across this video and thought that the voice seems very familiar to me. After 2 minutes I realized it was you. I used to watch your streams with hearthstone battlegrounds, but I gave up on that game a long time ago. Glad to see you in the Valorant community!

Hey guys I’ve been playing Val for 3 months so episode or act 6 whichever was just before this one was my first and I hit G3 this episode I’m hovering in G2 atp of writing this however my point is I have excelled extremely quickly over my peers and I can’t remeber ever really using or really specifically practicing counter strafing. I know I’ve done it a few times cause why not but it’s not something I regularly do maybe 1/1100 peaks is a counter strafe just pick one and be consistent with which one you do
"in a real game. with real people" real person: HELLO?
great video
im so confused, do you use Z to go forward and Q to go to the left?
19:52 It's a game engine(UE4) or ram/storage issue. It happened to me once and I see the exact same issue on several other AAA games too. Most people complain about the glitches but almost all of them happen due to game engine bugs or internet issues. Not valorant's fault actually.
Just wanna throw this out there counter strafe in Val and justting letting go of the movement key is basically so identical in game that there is a minimal differences between the two. Most people who played CSGO will counter stafe because it is more comfortable to them. I would suggest using either or, but for me just letting go of the movement key is more viable to me.
13:52 That crosshair maybe is too big, try the derke one, or use the classic cross, the dot need to be small (or empty: the cross) to see the enemy on long distance, i had the same problem
I think one of the things you could improve on is most of your peeks are instantly tradable, in lower elo peeking in those 'open angles' are extremely forgiving but in higher elo, you'd find yourself almost everytime getting traded by the angle youre taking now. 1 kill is good but 1-1 wont mean much if the situation isnt in your favour. You should also look into 'Contact plays' it may not be effective in low elo ranked games but trust me it does wonders in higher rank plays.
this was a really cool video, but im not sure if im in the minority? but the music over the progress section always had me turn the volumne down, would prefer if it weren't there in next installments
just sayin but at the end of this video you were playing better than most plats (golds for sure) and maybe a few diamonds I've played with just continue grinding man
If I had to "correct" anything, it would just be that counterstrafing doesn't really allow you to shoot accurately faster, atleast when discussing hypothetical vs reality. People have essentially calculated the difference for stopping vs counterstrafing, and it comes out to around 15 ms. Considering it takes humans roughly 150-300 ms just to react to visual stimuli, realistically, you will never be affected by that 15 ms difference. At 60 fps, this equates to roughly 1 frame, and while many people may think 1 frame is alot, it is actually quite miniscule when you realize the only time it would have affected the outcome is when both players have the exact same reaction time and see each other at the same moment, have the same gun, take the same amount of time to line up a shot, but one happens to stop by letting go while the other stops by counterstrafing. Counterstrafing is simply a habit of CSGO because of momentum and is so neglible that there are many radiant players who stop by letting go of their movement key rather than counterstrafing. While deadzoning becomes more and more necessary as you rank up, counterstrafing does not.

Being cognizant of stopping by pressing the opposite direction has more benefits than potential negatives. Telling someone not to do it or it does nothing is not correct.

FOR PEOPLE DEBATING OVER COUNTER STRAFE OR LET GO OF KEY: Yay pointed out that some gun have different time for recoil reset like sheriff takes longer than other pistols so by counter strafing you can be more consistent with strafes and shooting error. However, take this with a grain of salt because some people might have really good muscle memory and patience for strafe so either would work for you.

Don't counter strafe. Most pros do not recommend it and neither do i. jiggle instead its easier and basically the same except you don't cancel your movement you just let go of the movement key. I don't recommend it because its too much to think and worry about in game and spraying is an instant counter to it.
U should be dia now with that mindset
You DEF should be using a phantom. I dont mean any offense
YOU WERE ONLY SILVER 1?! I literally thought you were in gold
Counter strafing is not a thing in Valorant. You don't cancel anything compared to simply releasing the movement button.
tf u have heal on A how does that work lmaoo
complete random thing, why is your "wasd" keys, "zqsd"???
Aim training teaches you how to move your mouse accurately, but good mechanics are all about moving your mouse as little as possible in order to get a kill without exposing yourself. Very counterintuitive.
