Lucas is a solid dude. I met him like 6 years ago maybe more when he worked at lamiglass. I had my rod break while fighting a fish and was asking for a replacement. Unfortunately it was on the day of the week they didn't do returns but after I explained what happened he went to talk to a higher up and came back with a $460 rod to replace my broken rod for free. He didn't offer anything less than what I had. Great guy and great company

That is very kind of you to say man. I always tried to help people, and although I'm sure we didn't always make perfect calls when I worked there, I know how it feels to either get a defective rod (happened once to me and was replaced free) or break it on accident (happened many times, my own fault). In both cases, the company and customer can work together to get you fishing again. Appreciate you saying that and best of luck fishing man!

FYI... in that area you can keep wild coho as well. anything above Hood River bridge is ANY Coho.

Not currently, they closed wild retention of Coho because the numbers are so low over the dam. This year is really weak for Coho up there.

There have been times that the customer service hasn't been up to par. They've done a ton of work to improve their rods and customer service department. Lamiglas is under new management now and has been making tons of happy customers, from the upgraded rods, to a fair warranty program. They're warrantied against defects, and certainly there have been times where a person in the department didn't make the right call, but they are continuing to improve. I'm sure you'll find many rod companies go through ups and downs, but I'm very happy to see what they're doing these days.

They do offer a warranty against defective rods, but they don't just give free rods for life if you buy one and break it by accident or misuse. They still will offer a discounted replacement. There was an expectation back in the day that you could buy a used rod, break it in your car door and get a free one every time. Now if there was a defective rod that broke without being misused, then they absolutely should and will warranty the product. In the past, there have been times where they didn't make the right call, or a rep wouldn't recognize that it was a defective break, that's why under new management they're working to make sure every customer gets a fair treatment. If the rod was built wrong and breaks while under normal circumstances, the warranty covers that. If you break it on accident, then they still offer discounted replacements and parts.

They don't...They have a fast track warranty that they do not honor. I sent in my broken rod and $50, I got a call 6 months later where they tried negotiating me out of the warranty that they sold! There's a reason this company is not carried at Fisherman's.
