Houston Zoo Tour 2019
On Sunday, February 17, 2019, we decided to check out the Houston Zoo. Technically, we've been to the zoo before as kids on school field trips, but we wanted to tour it again with mature adult eyes.
It was a swell experience, and at good value. Only $20 per person and we easily spent 4 hours observing the wildlife. There were some decent opportunities to get up close to animals. The staff was okay-not as enthusiastic and passionate as the zoo staff we talked to at the Australia Zoo. And some of the animals looked kind of sad.
Overall, I recommend this zoo. Very family-friendly (they allow outside food and drinks and I saw some accommodations for strollers) and the navigation was user-friendly.

Last time I went here I was 12 and they always had one enclosure closed so I never looked forward to going again.

Nope. Bunch of Cajuns came over one day, saw them, shot them and made gumbo out of them.
