    What is the problem with the Logos? They got to use them in 2020 and they PURCHASED the whole league. Roughnecks was a great mascot and logo for Houston. Not so sure what Dallas has to whine about, other than the cowboys. Just let FOOTBALL move foward and stay out of the way! and for the future of football get TOPPS/Fanatics to make a card set for XFL 2023!! this encourages the young ones to become football stars!! huge fan of all football

    If they are going to do the whole teams practice in a hub in Dallas, then the XFL should consider putting a team in Oklahoma City. Its a decent sized market without an NFL team and is only a few hours drive from Dallas making travel costs cheaper. And I would think there would be a good stadium with the University of Oklahoma being around there.

    The XFL has to not fall into the same trap as the USFL by not spreading their teams from coast to coast to create bationwide interest even if a paticular city doesn't have a team. Having three teams in Texas and one in Oklahoma would be a disaster. Maybe expansion down the line.

    Seems like maybe six cities are all but officially confirmed: Dallas, Houston, Orlando, St. Louis, San Antonio, and Seattle with Los Angeles, New York, and Tampa all supposed to be out of the picture. That leaves two, maybe D.C. and a new one like maybe San Diego? Time will tell.

    San Diego seems like a slam dunk. The San Diego Fleet drew over 20,000 fans during their AAF home opener during a rain storm. San Diego State is opening a 35,000 seat college football stadium this fall that would make a fine home for an XFL team in a town with no major league sports besides the MLB Padres. There would be no NBA ,NHL, or brand name college basketball (UCLA) to compete for fans not to mention other distractions for fans of an LA team such as awards season in Hollywood.

    (Not a Houston fan in any way or form) Whether they 're the Houston Roughnecks or the Houston Oliers is only fair that they get to start the 2023 season unbeaten 5-0 it wasn't their fault that the league got cancel due to a plandemic the bottom line is that they finish the season unbeaten and that stand for something, is only fair that they get the chance to finish the season 15-0.

    I’m also from Charlotte, I think Charlotte would actually work out as you see we are probably the best in the nation when it comes to supporting to lower level teams. Some of your other cities has me kinda confused. Atlanta is a definitely nope, Orlando yes, Columbus ehh, St. Louis is 300% for me. Oklahoma City is a no. Dallas is a possibility, San Antonio is a yes, Phoenix is a no, Oakland I could see it working but most Lila fail. Seattle is a safe choice so yea include them. But Atlanta really has no business getting a team. There known for only supporting there top teams and leaving the others in the dust.

    Why do they think we need 3 teams in Texas???? That's just ridiculous when you have plenty of other cities in other states that can support a team.... Dallas and Houston I understand, but you don't need to add one in San Antonio as well... that's just overkill to have 3 teams in one state....

  • @TheLAGopher

    @TheLAGopher

    2 жыл бұрын

    Its a combination of fan support and logistics. The XFL,in order to keep its costs down, would be based in Dallas,a major airline hub where the league should be able to secure a good chartered plane deal for its teams. The teams would be housed in local hotels and train in one facility before the teams would fly to their host cities say on a friday and have time for local promotions on a Saturday for a Sunday game or on Sunday after a Saturday game. San Antonio had huge support for the AAF Commanders and Texas is nuts about football. When you have a state where some High School teams have stadiums rivaling division II College stadiums, its a safe bet. This is why the XFL isn't bothered by the USFL Gamblers playing home games in Houston because the saturation point in Texas for football is higher then anywhere else in the country.

    I'd like to see Houston XFL team just go ahead and change the name and move on. I suspect they wont. Probably just a new logo . One option is just put a big R or a Big H on the helmet. I'd like them to identify with more than just the energy /oil aspect of Texas. There is much more to Houston than oil and gas or energy. I'm really surprised that both leagues will have teams in Houston. Something will have to give sooner or later. When 2023 rolls around and the Suoer Bowl is over ,one week later we will have the New XFL3.0. It will get a lot of attention and will be playing in front of LIVE, HOME ,FANS...THIS will be a huge blow to the USFL which wont start their 2023 season until later. By then people will have gotten their alt football fix thru XFL. Very very few will go from NFL to XFL them a second season of USFL . Especially if they do the bubble in Birmingham again. That to me would be a death blow to USFL. Who would watch the XFL Championship game after watchig a season of XFL games in front of home fans, and then get fired up to watch Philly Stars vs Tampa Bay Bandits in an empty stadium? Only the total football die hard. So I expect USFL is scrambling to find stadiums for year 2. If not they will regret it IMO. A weakened USFL will assist in a possible merger tho. If XFL had 16 teams and 12 games plus playoffs and Championship??? OFF THE HOOK IMO!!
