    This League is operating like a NCAA Division II organization. No advertising, which host cities hardly knew the teams exist. No ties/sponsorships with the NFL. No NIL Level visibility, marketing of players/commercial products; nor, real push to highlight league(UFL) apparel. Need a Prime Time Friday Night Game, a Late Afternoon Saturday game, to avoid some of college basketball key matchups & local college programs games, which hurt Memphis, Houston, & Birmingham <UofAlabama> attendance, and wrap up the weekend with the regular Sunday two game broadcast, at slightly later start times. However, this league needs to expand by 4 teams, not only for more visible content/product; but, 8 teams looks & gives the impression of a less than low-level Minor League vibe. The needs to do a real market study of viable cities & approach to the population of those cities. Two cities that come to mind, right off the bat are Oklahoma City(Norman) and Canton....possibly Louisville as a third city, Baltimore as a crosstown rival to DC, maybe. The kicker is broadcasting. With a twelve-team league, the league can put together a network package, similar to the NFL Sunday Ticket, with the ABC/Fox networks, streaming on KZread TV where as, the UFL have 6 game every week, for 10 weeks, at a compatible marketed share price.... for the sake of argument, let's say for an example: $39.99 for the package(all 40 Sunday games), $49.99 with RedZone/4-Screen Sneak-Peek. The League would maintain one Prime Time game on Friday Night, rotated between ABC(5 games)/Fox(5 games). One National broadcast game mid-Sunday afternoon on a rotating basis with ABC(5)/Fox(5). The other 4 remaining games, played simultaneously, mid-Sunday afternoon on RedZone/4-Screen Sneak-Peek...with kick start time at 3:15p et/2:15p ct...broadcast start at 3p et/2p ct & broadcast end at 6:30p et/5:30p ct, unless overages. Obviously, when one network feature the Friday Night Prime Time Game, the other network partner broadcast the Sunday National Televised Game. The other Four game, split broadcasting rights between the two networks, ABC/Fox coverage, streamed on KZread TV RedZone/4-Screen Sneak-Peek. This can help the league generate more revenue, from package sells & Ads; and maybe, help marginally increase KZread TVs Subscriptions some. This league needs to convey a more big-boy business operation plan, as if they are an SEC/B10 knock off alternative to minor league football. Now as for the schedule for a 12-Team League...this is where the league needs to temporarily, think outside the box, for the time being, until the time come, hopefully, where the League can expand to 16 Teams. Forget this USFL/XFL Division format...time to move past that, at least for now. Set up 3 Divisions of 4 Teams each, based on naturally geographic proximity/regional rival. Each Team play 6 Division games, home & home, against their divisional rival. 2 games, one home/one away, against two opponents of one Division...the same against the other Division. Rotate opponents every two years...if the League can last that long. 6 Team Playoffs format, where as, 3 Division winners & 3 Wildcards(regardless of division affiliate). Top two teams gets a bye, for 1st Round Wildcard Weekend....3rd division winner(3-seed) host the 6th seed and the top wildcard team(4th-seed) host the 5th seed. 2nd Round Divisional Playoff Game feature the top team(1st-seed) hosting the lowest seeded team that advance and the 2nd seed team hosting the other team that advance. Championship Game feature the two remaining teams that advance. Again, ABC/Fox split televised playoff games....networks bid on televising the Championship Game. All post-season kick times TBD....probably on a Saturdays/Sundays, at that time of the year, when March Madness is long gone.

    I'd have re-located Houston. I understand wanting to build something, but now you're setting back a different location with more potential for another year. You don't need 3 teams in Texas in a 8 team league, especially if you're depending on TV for your income and the ticket sales aren't there anyway. You can match Houston's fan support almost anywhere else in the country, but also give the TV networks more markets to broadcast into. There's nothing in the Northeast, West, or Florida-to-Virginia. It's a bit like the Big 12 minus the Great Plains schools.

    Now, with winning three straight titles, the question is: where are the fans? Birmingham is playing in the smaller of the two football stadiums, and not even selling out half the venue. The conference championship game this year was just over 10,000 patrons! The NFL wants 60,000+ for every game and soon will be expanding towards a 40-team league. Why would they look at Birmingham who can't even fill a UFL game (at very cheap prices) much less an NFL contest (at high prices). Not going to happen.

  • @barryshuck1746
    @barryshuck17463 күн бұрын

    The Stallions are actually the 10th pro football team to win three straight titles. 1) 6: Kansas Koyotes 2003-2008, 2) 5: Cleveland Browns 1946-1950, 3) 3: Green Bay Packers 1929-1931, 4) 3: Green Bay Packers 1965-1967.

    Not going to happen. Birmingham has shown they will not show up games despite winning championships. When the NFL finally does expand again (it will) towards a 40-team league, St. Louis will be on the short list. But no way they will be called the Battlehawks. The NFL does not want anything to do with any inferior league's image. The new owners will call the team what they want, usually done with a name-the-team contest whittled down to three names.

Birm's RB Ricky Person jr and DL Willie Yarbary won an indoor ring in 2021 with the Mass. Pirates. Now it looks like they will have one of each. One indoor and one outdoor. So, this is nothing new, per say, to them. I say good for them.

    Let me get this straight. Most of you on here commenting are hating us Stallions fans. Why would us 10-12k fans be ashamed or our Stallions. We are the Kings of Spring Football. Birmingham Stallions are the 3-Peat Dynasty Champions. We love our Stallions. St. Louis fans should be ashamed. Averaging 30k fans a game for a little over 2 seasons and can't even make it to the Championship game. Given home field advantage for the Championship before the season even started. St. Louis fans should be ashamed. This is not the UAL (United Attendance League). For all of you who live in other cities who want teams. Reach out to your local leaders and demand for one of your own. Until then. Giddy Up! Birmingham 🐎🏆🐎🏆🐎🏆

    Dude… Battlehawks fans did what they were supposed to do - show up and show out. Granted, Birmingham doesn’t have St. Louis’ population, so 10-12k is actually very good and should not be criticized (THAT dishonor goes to the 2020 XFL LA Wildcats fans - typical LA fair-weather fans). However, don’t tell St. Louis fans to be ashamed. Our city got screwed TWICE by the NFL - that would’ve turned almost any community off from football, but in the arch city we are football crazy here, championship team or not. Oh and one more important thing: ⚔️KAW IS LAW🦅

    Man you on top of it. Every location you picked were on point. If the UFL wants bigger TV ratings they must have teams on the West coast and the East coast. I would the UFL bring back Seattle , NY/NJ Generals , Philly Stars. Then to find a soccer stadium for Generals & Star. I don't like the fans in the south, look at the Birmingham Stallions. They win 3 Championship in a roll and can't get 15,000 fans in the stands. But after saying that , Get New Orleans a shot at that new 25,000 seat stadium. The Memphis franchise should move to Nashville and play in there soccer stadium. Denver and the Oakland area would be a nice fit with LA team playing in Carson CA. If Houston can't get a soccer stadium deal , move the team to New Orleans. Bring back the Orlando franchise. I would love to see the St. louis Battle Hawks play their games at the new outdoors soccer stadium that holds 24,000 seats. It would be nice if the Michigan Panthers could play in a soccer stadium like the DC Defenders team. The 8th new team will play in Ohio. 16 teams in 4 divisions.

    Was the merge a good idea? Don´t think so. Some of the teams like the Gamblers will probably never come back, so what will the fans do? Support the Roughnecks? Some of them will not. Stadium concepts are missing, the league looks unstabil after merge and so on. A tough job to do, and because I´m working in sportsmarketing I know what I´m talking about.

  • @DDDiego
    @DDDiego3 күн бұрын

    @@brownhatknight3473it was good to merge, they won’t need to compete against each other. Of course the league isn’t gonna be a 10/10 because of the limited amount of time they had to prepare for the season. They couldn’t just keep all the teams from both leagues, half of them never even played in their cities and it would’ve just increased the travel expenses and financial implications which is not good for year one of a new league. The UFL is the future of spring football and they absolutely need stability to make it long term so I’m happy Johnston is prioritizing the markets. Just need to expand the fan bases and convince people to go to games

    UFL needs to do a better job at promoting themselves in local media markets. Get the local FOX and ABC TV and ESPN radio stations involved. Get local newspapers running stories and printing cover shots on the sports section. It was painful in Seattle in 2023 just how silent the local media was about the Sea Dragons.

    If they do that, the league will fold because of the increased financial burden of doing so. They NEED to grow the fan bases and encourage more to go to games first.
