Not necessarily. I run a small mom and pop g.c. company that services a few big box stores. My wife and I are a Christian family. We stay in temp furnished rental properties all the time. 1. It's cheaper than staying in a hotel and 2. It gives us some amenities of home such as cooking and we always bring our clean well behaved fur babies with. We are respectful of others property and privacy. I'd We shutdown air bnb or the likes then we will have to stay in a hotel with these hood rats.

Ofc, I'm old school, but when my mom and dad both passed away, they didn't leave us children much, and the biggest reason for that, was because they didn't have it to leave behind to begin with. And tbh, I prefer it that way. There were 6 of us kids, and after almost 30 years of marriage, they decided they wanted a divorce. Yeah, I never did get that one, but my point was this. Dad married a woman who had 3 children of her own. So in total, that made 9 children, plus the parents... and at bedtime, we literally replayed the ending scene of the " Waltons " , every night, while laying in bed..." good night Marcie...good night Jerry...good night Teddy...good night Brenda.. etc,. etc,. etc,. ... and while we were poor and didn't have anything, the best things that my mom and dad gave us, we still have with us today.. LESSONS... things they taught us growing up, things you'd never forget, and pass down from your generation to the next... like unconditional love.. and FAMILY MORALS, AND VALUES... MANNERS ( < a big one, to my mom... she made sure when you left the house, you better have packed ur manners, for the trip ) and so on... those things, you can't sell, their not " tangible " , and you can't give them away, if they don't want to be taken... but their very valuable... more precious, than any metal or gemstone ,or of the highest denomination of paper currency, you could write down on a piece of paper, with never-ending zeros.... that's my 3 cents worth, and I thank you all for reading my " book ".. sorry, this was so long.. please everyone, HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you all, and many blessings to you and your families as well... hagd !!! 😊😊🎉🎉

I went to my old neighborhood a few years ago, and noticed all the sheds around my parents old house were opened. I was told that they were all broke into. My brother had a camera inside his shed. Those who own these properties and rent it out for trash activities are not even neighbors. First of all, a neighbor must live on that property , but this one’s live somewhere else without any disturbances. Double standards, right? Second, a good neighbor will never do it in a first place because they care about their neighbors and they like their neighborhood and if they find out that something dirty is going on on their property they will react and stop these activities, but this one’s not only continue , but act even more trashier. They are the same lowlifes who usually make some money obviously not using their IQ , but doing something illegal or trashy. Then they invest in a property like this and decide to profit at others expense. They should be sued and kicked out of the neighborhood once and for all. They usually pay cash ! Which means , that they must be checked thoroughly by IRS!

@@tigritsa74 With the current laws there's nothing courts can do to prevent short-term rentals like this. All cops can do is enforce noise curfews and other existing laws. If you want this to stop you have to pressure your local government to outlaw AirBnB and other short-term rentals. Sadly most government officials have heavy investments in real estate and aren't keen on passing laws that might limit their earning potential on properties they own. The fox is running the hen house.

I own a vacation rental right next to the house I live in . I have a tall privacy fence around the backyard of the rental house but from my two-story house I can see right over the fence and the distant neighbors side doesn't have a fence and so she can see right through the trees into the rental house backyard. I've had three female renters that used the hot tub nude in the daylight and then just sat around the patio nude and getting drunk. I've had a woman make a trip in the nude out to the parking lot to grab something out of her car in the morning daylight in plain view of the road in which the school bus goes down every morning. I've had to put no nudity signs up to protect myself legally.

If a landlord is smart they include a clause in their lease about not allowing/tolerating illegal behavior and if said illegal behavior is discovered than they have the right to terminate the lease.

I agree to a point but hotels over charge sometimes and depending where u go they add on a resort fee I believe it is. It all depends who you renting your property to. I'm never going to hate on someone trying to make extra money. Just need to do better job of screening there clients

This sucks for good people who are benefiting from airbnbs and short term leasing of that sort. Im in a shortterm here where i just transplanted from out of state and its a life saver. Nice relatively safe area, quiet and close to work. Airbnb already has policies on conduct in their units so maybe getting everybody listed on the unit and if something should occur, get them banned from usage for any particular amount of time seen fit.

Airbnbs and such only want to profit. If they would force their rules residents won’t have these issues, but they are making it look like nothing doesn’t happened. They should be banned in residential areas. Short term rentals in Houston do not work. They mostly attract criminal elements who come to Houston from other states and cities to do their “business”.

this reminds me of a funny story. when i lived in a high rise luxury building in seattle, a neighbor of mine was a high end escort. very nice asian girl, super hot, but she always had different stranger coming in and out at odd hours late in the night and a lot of residents were not too happy about that. one time i walked into the hallway to take out the trash at around 2am, I saw my boss from work knocking on her door waiting to get in. we looked at each other in the eyes for a brief second, didn't say a word to each other, i went on my way taking out the trash, and we never spoke about this incident ever again until i quit that job a year later lol. dude was married too, i met his wife at company holiday parties and his 3 kids. talk about awkward.

@@anonymous-de3hj In my occasional desperate lonely moments I took out some real trash, at whatever time I could find them. I knew that some of those ladies were doing the mirror image of what I was doing, but beggars cannot be choosers. BTW: I only knew they were trash because they said "yes". (Abnormal service was terminated when I met my wife, 40 years of happiness ago.)

The owner knows what is going on . She is definitely at fault for profiting at others expense. Airbnb is also at fault. Parties like this in residential areas shouldn’t be allowed. People move to establish neighborhoods for the reason. They raise families there. They want it to be in a save environment with no strangers and potential crime. Short terms in residential areas definitely must be banned.

Not true. None blacks do very well and very respectable regarding respecting properties.

They need to file a lawsuit against the owner for nuisance preventing enjoyment of property. With this kind of evidence the neigh irs may end up owning the house.

The council should ban the owner from using the place as a air bnb.

These people who don't see anything that they're doing wrong until they see someone else act just like them, then it is wrong.

I'm sure glad I live 25-30 minutes from the city and only have two neighbors near me. I have a fence and a decent sized yard that my son can play in without any bs. I couldn't imagine coming home from a date with my man and son to find someone fking on their balcony across from us. Despicable and embarrassing.

True. This behavior is disgusting. Short terms that allow parties must be banned once and for all! These behavior is spreading though. So , people have to stop it.

You can't predict tenant behaviors, but you can mitigate the risk by banning short-term rentals.

Owners know exactly what is going on on their properties and who is there at the moment. If people put it on TV , most likely, it means that they already confront the owners and the owners know that they violating the rules of a community. Some are so bold in their actions , they constantly ignore the bylaws that prohibit short terms. The problem here is ignoring the laws. The owners must be sued and short terms must be banned in all residential areas! Owners are very much responsible. Moreover, if the owners know but keep doing such rents , it definitely means that they do it on purpose to bring a disturbance!!’ That is a criminal activity!

They can do alot within legal bounds. Place magnets on their vehicles saying insulting things. Play loud music while guests are staying at that place. Do annoying things that the guests who stay there leave bad reviews and soon that owner can't find anybody to rent out to.

Yeah, well HPD isn't going to do anything about that, I had all that going on on my courtyard of my Apartments also and it went on for three solid years and they never came out over that. I understand their feelings completely! You hope a child doesn't come around the corner and see all that stuff! You don't really want to look at it either... It just seems out of place in a residential community to see those actions in public and depressing.
