Housing pigs...current approaches

This resource material aims to help teachers and students in junior secondary schools explore new and existing methods and technologies involved on Australian pig farms to house and produce pigs. Students are given an insight into ways farmers care for their animals and are designing housing systems using a variety of housing regimes, designed with environmental stewardship principles and animal welfare standards in mind.

Wow, I really loved that. the pigs seem so healthy and contented. they feed themselves and have straw and space and airflow, etc. this is the way to go for farms.

This is the exception to the rule. Thank god people realize animals of every kind have feelings, feel pain and need and show love too. I’d rather you be a vegan like me and not eat them but at least take perfect care while they are alive. They are as smart as a dog or possibly as smart as a 2 or 3 year old. They feel everything we do.

@@RnR1001 That doesn't make sense, when you make an effort to boycott a destructive agriculture your impact is less. It's quite the opposite, with less farmed animals being bred and them consuming less land and resources, wildlife will flourish.
