Could you do 'Plants I used to hate that I love now'? That would be fun

Love this idea! “Plants I Love to Hate” would be a fun one too. I’d love to hear someone go in on some plants haha.

Yassss! It looks delicious
I added a Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma to my plant collection a week ago and I still stare delightedly at its leaves every time I pass it! Thoroughly underrated in my opinion!
I'd say we should make a drinking game where you take a shot every time Nick says Funky but I don't want to die 😳
Lighthearted plant content from a FULL TIME KZreadr? I’m in!
I love how you don’t assume all of your viewers know every little thing so you go into explaining details and see very helpful!!! Thank you
They way you light up when talking of your plants is so dang sweet!🤗
I found an Alocasia Stingray at my local nursery today and of course I took it home with me. It looks so bizarre, I love it xD

I want one of those. On the lookout!
That schefflera is fabulous! Love it! I need this!
I like when you ramble 🌱
Love funky leaves
I was so sad there were no begonias! Their foliage is so variable and very funky’!
I loved this one!! My Adansonii is one of my favorites!!
“Correct me in the comments if you dare” 😂 lmao fave quote of the video. This is what makes you such a great KZreadr!!! I’m again so happy you’re doing this full time 💓✨
Funky Foliage is the best part of this hobby Nick loved this one thanks!
omg that anthurium is like a beautiful head of lettuce 😂

I love how real you are. Great video! Thanks
Feel like the cissus discolor needs humidity and light. I put mine just next to humidifier and under the grow light, it’s growing like crazy (located in Canada)
Always enjoy seeing a new video from you. Thanks 😊
i saw a lot of my favourite plants from my collection in this video! lots of super easy to find and propagate plants
I love foliage, especially for color. I have a couple of flowering houseplants but they can be so messy and they don't usually flower for very long.
Just bought my first adansonii and I'm obsessed
My favorite funky foliage is my Crocodile fern (Microsorum musifolium). Then there are a couple snake plants that are mostly yellow with small touches of green. And my K. Tomentosa collection - special attention to Black Tie.
I love the foliage of my Adansonii. However, my mother, when she saw it in my collection, gasped in horror and told me that she thought my plant had been eaten by bugs! I explained that the holes are normal and that the plant is actually a trendy houseplant. She still wasn't feeling it. (She feels the same about my Raphidophora tetrasperma
Dwarf Cavendish Banana❗Funky HUGE velvety leaves. Very fast grower 🌴💪❗
Loving that `NOVA' 😁
I learned so much! ❤️ Thank you.
I LOVE Anthurium superbum! I just love Anthuriums. I am glad you featured it.
Yes, they do call the Discolor the Rex Begonia. I kept mine outside at the end of summer when the rains were regular and it loved it. I put it in the mini greenhouse with new plants and it went crazy and was taking over so I took it out and it hasn't been as happy so I'm going to put it back.
Loved this!! ✨✨
I like how he has a diverse collection of houseplants (both rare and common), yet his videos are still accessible to those of us who have a bunch of plants, but can't afford to order them online. Also, would anyone else want to see a Nick Pileggi & Nick Alexander collab?
Very helpful tips! I was on the hunt for a Cissus Discolour but now will wait for spring
The Grindr pose thumbnail gets me every time 😅
Seriously your plant pots are so cute 😍😍
You should do a video on plants that can survive near AC vents/doors. I have a neon pothos in my kitchen that’s thriving near an AC vent, but I’ve almost killed a few others because I didn’t realize they were getting air blown on them.
Another funky looking foiliage plant would be the phlebodium aureum 'davana', or Blue star fern davana. It looks really cool!! Oh and echeveria shaviana!!
Love your picks 😃 Love the Retusa, I think I’ve Bonsai-ed one. Lol it’s in a 2in pot an the leaves are so tiny, it’s 8 in long an keeps growing but never getting bigger leaves. 😃 Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving 🦃🍁
I have Cissus discolor and it does defoliated every winter. In spring when it gets more water and light it comes back and by end of summer it is lush. This has been the cycle for several years.
Heyyyyy Nick, very informative as usual thanks.
I love the watermelon peperomia!!!
I really hope we all get a chance to enjoy Spring this year.🌱🌿🌵
i love that schefflera ! 😍👌 i've never seen one here
Hi Nick! I love your picks. Their foliage is pretty funky. I don't have any of those plants, but would like to have all of them except the Peperomia (I've killed every Peperomia I've tried) and the Cissus discolor only because I've heard a LOT of people say they are so hard to grow. I've never seen a Schefflera actinophylla "Nova" before. WOW! So pretty. I have a variegated Schefflera that I'm really enjoying, but the leaves on the Schefflera actinophylla "Nova" are to die for! Thank you so much for sharing and for always showing your love for plants in such a fun way!
Can you do another monstera sp peru video 😅 like an update of yours perhaps?
I just recently got a little calathea vittata and I CANNOT stop looking at it!!
U have sold me with those plants 👀, Now I am on the 🧐 for the plant
Loved this one! Just picked up a mon. adon. Never wanted one but when I saw it in person, it was LAFS.
oh my god 😍 that schefflera. stop it
Nick.....You are costing me lots of cash, and I am running out of room! I watch your videos and then go online and buy buy buy! I LOVE you! lol
I think all of those plants are amazing, I'd love that P. squamiferum and the Cissus discolor would be amazing. Also, the S. actinophila is really good, it just looks so alien and cool. By the way, love the tiedye shirt, looks great on you.
I got to have 😲 it.
Philo Mexicanum is my favorite weird foliage plant!
😍😍😍😍
You may have just sold me on an Anthurium superbum I've been avoiding them for awhile but I think it's finally time
There’s such a good mix of amazing plants here. Cissus is slept on. I’m on the look out for the antarctica. I can’t find it anywhere
Ok, now I NEED a schefflera Nova in my life 😂 I have never seen any over here in Europe either...
Nick! Will you consider doing a 2021 wishlist video?? Seen other youtubers doing it. Realistic or unrealistic wishlist. Up to you.
👍👍👍
Ahhhhh Squamiferum is finally gaining traction!!! That is the most beautiful plant in my collection (then, sadly I killed it; good thing my mom was able to propagate it before it died)
Hi Nick! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Loved this video. My ?/comment: my retusa had to go back outside due to dry air and heater use. We are having cold nights here so does it need special attention? I bought it at lowes in a 4 inch pot this summer for $5. They sold out quickly and we're never restocked. Huge bummer. ?#2: is your boyfriend into plants, and if not, does he let you decorate his place with them? Do you still have a plant wishlist? I do. I want an alocasia zebrina but am afraid of their delicateness. Looking forward to next video💓
Do you have a video on winterizing plants? Us new plant parents are about to have our first winter!
you missed two amazing ones: fishbone cactus and elephant ear!
🌿💚
Yes, I have seen them sold as Rex Begonia vine .
I didn't know Cissus Discolor defoliate in the winter, I chopped mine up because I thought it was dying and it was so beautiful outside in the summer. :(
Easy to grow was not my experience with Retusa. It dwindled mercilessly. As a last ditch effort, I put it in leca and I think it's going to survive. But it's pretty small now. I do love it though. It's really cool.
Nooo the tetrasperma in the background is turning brown : (

Where did you get the pot that your peperomia is in??? It’s gorgeous!!

Could u do a video about alocasias preferably red mambo?
LECA=Light Expanded Clay Aggregate, Nick!
I've ordered 2 Cissus Discolor online and they don't ship well 😭😭😭 and they are Diva's!!! They are so beautiful and I want a large one but they are so hard to find locally and are pricey when you do find them.... My 1st one died :( and my 2nd one is very small and just barely hanging on ... I won't be buying 1 online for a 3rd time if this one dies. I live just outside Tulsa, Oklahoma.
My most recent goal with my collection is to get more plants with different color foliage. I’m trying to introduce some color to my collection! So I just got a pink cream syngonium and a mother of thousands

@@dharmraz thanks for the tip! I’ve seen a few near me but nothing super colorful yet.
I felt guilty about saying aglaonema lives forever but can also look bad forever, so I bought an aglaonema "wishes" from Gabriella plants and the foliage is really pretty. I'm sure it will lose some leaves and look leggy to spite me!
My watermelon peperomia I had to bag it and lost my others I had 🙄 my cissus I had to bag too!
LOVE my Cissus discolor..It's actually in the grape vine family, not a begonia at all =)
Nick, what’s the difference between these 2 ficus? Audrey and altissima? Saw both at the store today but they look the same... what’s the difference isn’t the look and care? Was thinking I want one of them and might go back next weekend to get one if they still have it.
Instagram vs Reality 💚🌿
I really want a monstera adinsoniai but I can't decide between long or wide form.
Hi Nick, would you share where you picked up the Schefflera Actinophylla Nova?
Nick, you love cissus? Do you have cissus antarctica? Kangaroo Ivy. Why are so many cissus propagated for houseplants, but not that one.
Hi Nick Do you have a pin cushion plant? It’s in the peperomia family.
I snapped my leaf trying this. 😞 but that was before I watched this video lol what do I do? Leave it alone? Or take it off? She’ll be okay! Lesson learned. Loved this video btw. Great idea since I love “weird” plants. ❤️❤️
Nick do you put up a Christmas tree? Is there room?
Where is the watermelon pepperomia pot from??
The schefflera kinda reminds me of a papaya tree.
Where can I find the trellis in the background???
I can't find LECA in my country T__T and ordering from outside is not an option atm. I found some clay so I wonder if I can make some balls and cook them and use those.

You are so cute. Haha
The RT is turning brown in the background! What happened?? 😔😔
I have been dying to get a cissus discolor but I’m seeing over $100 for a 4inch pot online. Can’t do it.

That's crazy how plants prize differs depending on location - I bought cissus discolor in comparable pot (not using inches here) maybe two weeks ago for the price comparable to the price of cheap t-shirt. I didn't even considered it to be super amazing deal, but I loved foliage so much I had to have it. The first one I ever saw in person was a HUUUGE vine (on the moss pole bigger than me) and even that plant didn't cost anywhere near $100.
My Retusa is getting so crispy! HELP MEH!!!
Rex Begonia Vine, yes I dare 😘🪴
Anthurium superbum looks like horseradish for me 😅️
what about "Plants that have leaves"
