The staghorn probably needed a bigger container with more moss because it was just draining the moss it had so fast. I don't think there's any saving it tho. :(

The reason the cebu probably died is because you still have it in the nursery pot and in those pot there is black catcher thing so the water doesn't come out and the roots wrap around it and become very root bound.

Keep a water reservoir under the Hoya imbricata till you can repot it it’s in a type of coco chip fibers that are long and wood shaped I think ...I have seen that before my friend had one in the same exact stuff and she kept a water reservoir under the plant and then once the reservoir dried out give it a few days to dry out then do the process all over again and it should start growing a lot better and staying hydrated and you won’t have to worry about watering it every day!!

Oh no, that poor staghorn. Sphagnum moss becomes very hydrophobic when it is compacted and allowed to over dry out. You may have been watering but the water might not have been reaching the roots. It's best to keep sphagnum moss light and fluffy.

I keep mine mounted as well but I mounted them myself from soil...so not full sphagnum. You might have better luck if u buy another in a pot and mount it yourself, preserving some soil around the roots b4 u cover it in sphagnum.

I grow ferns - soak your Stag horn and change it from moss. Once that moss dries out, it repells water - really hard to rehydrate. Attach the Stag to a board of wood or even tree fern. It needs to be outside, let it be slightly moist, but not wet, and don't let it dry out. Good luck! That sucks so much :(

If this is the elephant platycerium (from Africa ) then it’s likely dead, they should NEVER ever be allowed to dry. If it’s any of the Australian tropical platyceriums it may come back if you’re lucky. I have an African one and it’s planted in a very moist retaining potting mix because it’s so sensitive to dryness.

I'd take your plant out of the wood thingie. Had several plants die on me in those, because it's just so hard to get the watering right in normally non-tropical household conditions. You also can't check the roots, so if there's anything wrong or there root pests you only notice them after it is too late. now I repot the plants I get in this kind of growing medium right after I received them.

@@PlantingAshley actually I do like every plant, love nature. These plants we enjoy in our homes are gifts. I just don't like the language you use...we can struggle with plants, but hate? Strong word.

@@PlantingAshley fair enough. I enjoy some of your videos, and even as a seasoned plant Mom learned a thing ot two....wish the narrative was more positive sometimes is all. I love nature and feel plants can't really be "hated". You are a lovely young lady stay positive and planting!!
