Summer Rayne Oakes Summer, your friend is easily enjoyable (very peaceful energy; I can certainly understand why you two are friends). His goals are totally obtainable, and for the most part, his desire to incorporate plants into his space reflect what all who cohabitate with plants want. He’s lucky to have your expertise to bring his hopes to fruition. This was a thoroughly enjoyable video. It just goes to show that there’s NO need to be put-off by living in a concrete jungle, especially when living aside plants is an option. You both are charming 💜. Damon, the Chinese Evergreen is a lovely home Plant Damon, too. I invite you to take a second look - particularly at the nontraditional evergreens like the Red Siam (low-light, No fuss, lots of beauty) it’s a BONUS!

Summer, this is amazing!! The lighting information is especially helpful. I’ve struggled to understand the difference between light levels in my own space. Seeing the huge window I thought you would say it’s a “high light” exposure. The breakdown of light intensity, colour/temperature and direction makes it so much clearer (I have to move some plants 🥴). Thank you!! And thank you Damon for sharing your beautiful home. I'm a botanist and trained horticulturist, but as with all of us, you never stop learning. Your videos are extremely educational, entertaining and relaxing. I love the quality of the videos, how in depth they are, and naming all the plants and showing them off is wonderful for those I'm not familiar with.

Man my room needs to be sponsored by a plant shop, I've spent all my money on plants and tea.

These Back to Basic videos are great. My daughter and I have recently started greening up the inside of the house, these videos have been very useful, especially where you have talked about lighting.

How can you not fall in love with Summer.

This would be such a good series of you going into people's houses and giving them a houseplant home makeover. I watch this quite frequently and it's so much fun seeing the different ways you get around certain hurdles and your reasonings for certain plants.

I think we just witnessed the birth of Miss SRO's side hustle as an interior plant designer 😉👍 I absolutely adore this full length feature! Calling this a video doesn't do it justice.

Amazing, Summer. Just when I was wondering what to watch tonight, this video was uploaded. This is just the kind of content I love. Well done and thank you for all your hard work.

Your friend sounds like an ideal man.

I got three medium-small size plants in my bedroom and my mental well being over all has improved significantly. I also noticed less dust particle in my room and the humidity level is perfect. The plans also act as sound cancelling and the dull green leaves decreases my anxiety episodes.

*"Thaumatophyllum"* means "Miracle Leaf." There are about 20 former Philodendrons that grow on a sturdy trunk that were moved to this revived genus a few months ago. Damon knows philosophy and would probably work that out.

So jealous!!!! Come make over my house with plants!!! 😂 Love Love Love it!!!!

I have watched this video so many times. I love the transformation process so much! I’ve learned a lot and I feel like I’ve gotten lucky with the plants in my apartment or they climatized themselves really well. I would love to know if you plan on having a discord- it would be a good way for the community members to connect and share information and help one another, you could also pull ideas from a tab that you create called (whatever you name it) either suggestions, ideas, etc. the members can carry on with one another and even share pictures in a designated thread. When you get time you could also pick questions at random if you so choose. It’s a great way to organize from everything I’ve been told.
