Household Junk Drum Kit Challenge

We scavenged Jared's house to make the ultimate drumset... out of household items! And we're going to use it to record a real song. So let's find out if building a drum set from household junk can compete with real drums. Let's have some fun!
#householdjunkdrumset #drumeo #havefunwithdrums
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this video, we sit down with Jared (our professional in-house drummer) and Victor Guidera (the Drumeo audio engineer) as we attempt to turn household items into a record-worthy professional kit. In the end, will the average listener be able to tell the difference? That's what we're here to find out.
So let's watch Jared and Victor do their thing and attempt the impossible! We'll also get to see how our favorite drum teacher reacts to this kit's transformation. Let's have fun with drums.

I just finished a short percussion concert composition score called "All Fingers In, Percussion for Circular Saw and Construction Tools" which used: Circular saw with hits on the body and the blade, Electric drill for whirring noise, Tape Measure, Vice Grips to hit the spring-loaded handle, plastic peanut butter jar filled with misc hardware as shaker, and bamboo chopsticks as drum sticks. My percussion motif developed from basic Chacarera rhythm patterns. So this video was very timely and entertaining, good job. I think you should try playing a junkyard automobile, maybe use Arejay Hale's "big sticks".

I actually built my first kit out of pots and pans and a tupperware box filled with gravel for the snare. My parents heard me on it in the shed and decided to get me my first kit. 300 years later and I still cant play.

Since the very beginning, I have always had a saw blade on my kit. Also, I use chains and necklaces on the cymbals. My favorite is the top shelf of a metal cart I use as a gong. I hold it with my hand and hit it with my knee. Sounds awesome! Good times, guys!! Thanks.

When on tour thousands of years ago, we were in Bulgaria where we got invited to some guys family in a very poor village. He had built a drum kit out of old barrels and some cut up bicycle. We actually ended up playing on that kit for one of the shows because our drummer liked it so much (i am not a drummer).

Empty paint bucket with nails inside for the snare, big saw blade for the ride, big empty cabbage barrel for the kick, a few buckets for toms and an, actual cowbell worn by cows for, well, bell. It Was awesome cassette recording with homemade guitar and bass FBT amp

I have bought a break drum in a scrapyard (for use in orchestra), which was fun. "I need a break drum." "Ok, for what car?" "I don't know - can I hit them with this hammer and listen to how they sound?" They probably talked about the weird musician later on their lunch break.
