I’ve only ever used the first setup and didn’t even realize I could set it up differently but I really like the tre cool setup and it thinking about trying it out. Thanks for posting this it’s helpful man

When I get my own electric drum kit, I’m gonna try and set it up like the tre cool style, I always liked the look of one rack tom on top instead of 2 or more

I've been shopping around for a new set. This set will be used by at least 2 drummers. Anyway I've seen tons of pictures with different set ups. This video sure explains why the different set ups. I've played using the standard set up for many years. Guess I just like sm toms in front of me. But I might try changing things up a bit. Thanks. I learned a lot!!

My first drumkit. I didn't know it still existed! Mine was really an entry-level but it took me years then the logs went off on the floor tom and the hit hat clamp fell every two minutes! I said that I had mine in 1995, Maxtone already had the same logo.

You should make a drum cover of AC/DC thunderstruck or back in black or both it would be awesome

When you move your medium Tom to where the floor Tom is do you find your self changing how you do fills? For example does your medium Tom replace what the floor Tom does or do you just go over it and hit the floor Tom? Or is there tendency to do less around the kit stuff like descending 16’s, and more hi Tom snare stuff?

Cool I like all of em but it works in a different way to me cus mine is a 9 shell 6 toms 2 snares 1 bass so I like all five way mostly the jazz one I'm a drummer myself for 8 years now

what kind of mics are you using on the toms?

I don't see a microphone for the drum head. But the ride cymbal sound is very clear. Where do you hide the microphone? 😅
