This home has charm and warmth, but most importantly, the home has love. She loves her family and it shows throughout her home. Love how her husband striped and sanded a chest for her for Mother's Day. That is beyond special with how expensive everyday "things" can be and how meaningful a gesture.

The love this lady has for her family is tangible... you can feel it in every aspect of her home! Thank you for featuring this type of residence. It's so nice to see a child actually featured in a home!

This is such a charming home full of love and dedication. I like her style and taste it is similar to mine. And the fact she found these treasures for less than new, I really like. I really appreciate the quality of these old pieces, they are still here for a reason. And the previous home owners left those treasures behind was a True blessing. Love the paint colors, I like color, it is Always nice to see something different than white everywhere. She did a good job decorating for the time period. I like her art selection and furniture. I particular like the kitchen, I love the sink and tall cabinets. I can see me in that kitchen 😀. The bathroom is lovely, that bathtub is dreaming. I can understand why they knew immediately that this was their home, it has a lot of character. And how she decrerated it was the icing on the cake. Her husband little table he had as a kid, is in the daughters room, how precious ? And the little cabinet he made in high school fits in that corner perfect, as if it was made just for that corner, he did good job. This young mother is so dedicated to her precious family. It is so refreshing to see a young mother like her. She reminds me of my mother, taking care of the children and home, and the father is out working doing his part. You used to see that A lot, back in the day, it just made So much sense. A housewife is still a dirty word/not a good thing to do. Some just don't understand the Importance of it, putting family first. Her children will Most definitely appreciate her and remember the things she did for them, even the little things, like making that baby quilt ❤️, I know I do, I Truly appreciate All the things my mother did for me. I Really enjoyed watching this video, it brought back precious memories for me. May God bless this beautiful family. Tfs

Wow, this home and this woman spoke to my heart. I love EVERYTHING about this home!!! It is so romantic, cozy, warm, just absolutely lovely 😁 The rooms for the kids are just the sweetest and I can totally relate to her ideas and thaughts for her home. She herself is such a romantic and caring person😊 And funny thing: The picture of Jesus as the good shepherd she has in her entryway I know😊 Many years ago here in Germany I took care of an elderly lady. And she had the same picture in her bedroom. I always loved it, because it is so peaceful 😊 Thank you so much for this episode. Yep! I think the kitchen has the most style by far!!! Floor to ceiling cabinets that are flush mounted?! Yes please! So functional as well, especially for a small space.

What a great person, down to earth, no monograms, etc. I love the way she has used antiques and finds without any reason to go modern.

It's definitely a beautiful home and she seems like a really lovely lady, but I'm sure there are millions of Americans who don't have the same financial advantages and are doing the best they can, despite their circumstances. So I don't see how this is an epitome.

I love this beautiful family home! A real home!! I love Katie especially that she chose to be a Stay at Home MOM!!! :)

Love the leather wing back chairs in the bay window. But it really needs a little round table with a lamp and some books for warmth to the space. I can only imagine how beautiful and snug those windows look in the rain, as she mentioned. I love everything about this home. Her personal wall art really makes it a special home. The bar in the dining room with the picture of the home builder is absolutely wonderful!!!!! What a wonderful piece of history. That cozy kitchen is my dream. To look out that adorable window to the side yard is magic! As the seasons change it would be like seeing a new piece of art. Natures ever changing paintings. Love the antlers over the boys beds. For more impact, I would get two square wood frames.. paper the back with a plaid or boy type print and mount them inside. The sweet lamp is a nod to Mother Goose.. just needs a little hat.. haha. The best thing in the daughters room is that treasure of a little quilt with the saying Love Mama!!!! My heart is melting! And finishing in the master.... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! That wall color is like being in a cozy nest in the trees!!!! The dressers are stunning , and the picture of them hanging on the wall is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a lovely woman, a lovely home, and a blessed family.

Such a lovely and elegant home with great design. I love antiques and old designs, so this home was right up my alley. Everything about it was perfect for me.The home owner is also so down to earth which made this very enjoyable to watch. She reminds me a lot of the classic Louisiana Creole women you see in portraits.

Katie seems so down to earth, and her devotion to her kids and family shines through. Watching this video after a long 95 degree day is like a breath of fresh air!

I find it interesting that people in America still define their architectural eras by monarchs! I thought it was only in the UK or possibly 'empire' countries of the time that would have done this. Love love love this home. The natural materials are so calming.
