HOUSE TOUR | A Stunning Home in the Moroccan Desert
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
We filmed this episode prior to the devastating September earthquake near Marrakech, Morocco. We hope to this video helps to raise funds for those families impacted in the aftermath of that disaster. Please see the link above for one way to contribute.
We believe it is important to still showcase the beauty of the region and the creativity of those who call it home.
We’re bringing you to Morocco for an exclusive look inside Carmen Haid’s desert oasis. After an illustrious career working alongside Saint Laurent, Carmen founded ATELIER MAYER, a platform that globally sources exceptional decor with a contemporary edge. She has been traveling to Morocco for the past 30 years, and her home is a complete reflection of her love for bespoke design and sustainability.
Being completely exposed to nature offers a great sense of tranquility and rejuvenation for Carmen. In addition to celebrating hand craftsmanship and tradition by working with local artisans to create beautiful designs, Carmen is also an incredible advocate for environmentally-friendly living. Her approach to curating her home has been largely driven by sustainability. Powered by solar panels, Carmen prioritizes using raw and local materials to minimize her carbon footprint. Enjoy!

This episode was filmed before the earthquake. Some of our staff have lost their homes and we have started immediately a fund to help rebuild their lives and the many others who were affected. We decided to air this episode now when Marrakech has been rebuilding fast, the tourists are back and we just celebrated the 100 year anniversary of La Mamounia. What you can do to support is to come and visit this beautiful country with its rich culture and see for yourselves. It was a privilege to work with @homeworthy and I hope you enjoy this episode. Thank you for your understanding and support

Stunning home. I absolutely love every detail. Thank you for sharing.
In my opinion, the Moroccan homes are the most beautiful in the world. My favorites are the gorgeous old Riads in Marrakech. I love the true Mediterranean style indoor/ outdoor living, even on the roofs. I love US American homes too, live in one, but the architecture of Morocco speak to me much more. Anyone who loves these homes too should try watching Bosworth properties- he’s a realtor- and tours the gorgeous old Riads.
I went to Morocco last year after my husband asked me for the divorce. It was a rediscovering trip without my kids for the very first time. I felt in love with the country and I also felt save. I want to come back next year with my kids and stay in the same Riad.

Thank you, Homeworthy, for raising funds for the victims of the earthquake in Morocco. It's wonderful when people band together to help people in times of need.
What happened in Morocco was devastating. I don’t see why being nasty to Homeworthy or the home owner achieves anything. I see they’ve made this a fundraiser, which is a good call. Hope everyone supports it and hope the house is ok.

@@d.l.n.7133The world is in a total mess, is someone has something more then I have, I don’t hold it against them. It was not the homeowners fault there was an earthquake. All of the videos show what other people have, but again so what. Those people have worked hard and done positive things and bought homes and furnished nicely. It just shows hard work is an advantage to our future. How does anyone know how much money these homeowners dedicate to any charity and do good for worthy causes. We should not pass judgement. We are watching a short video, we do not know these people personally and the positive things they may be doing for others.

Beautiful, well thought out estate! Hopefully the estate, staff and family faired well through the earthquake ! Praying for all. Thanks for sharing !
A great house and isolation can be dreamy. I pray for Morocco and all those affected by the earthquake.
Beautiful people, home, lifestyle, and business. Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely beautiful and that food looked delicious ♥️🙏🏼🌹
The best thing about this home is the chef ❤ food looks fantastic
Beautiful sustainable house with a lot of respect for Moroccan design and culture. I am so sorry what happened to your country. Really devastating.😪💔
She is adorable!
This is such a beautiful home. I loved everything about it, and the food looked delicious. The art studio is lovely. I hope to visit Morocco one day. I would have liked the cameraman to get up close to the art, fabrics, objects, and the fossil basins, etc, so that we can really see the details. Beautiful hostess with style and elegance. I was born in Africa and so appreciate African handwoven baskets, beautiful wood and fabrics. Sending so much love to Morocco. ❤️
I love the insights to home décor around the world. This is no exception to educating our palettes. Thank you HomeWorthy, for increasing our knowledge!

The best BEST EPISODE !!! Stunning !
She said she had been here for 30 years on and off... Wow, so she is probably more than 50 years old? She looked really really young for her age. What's the secret for looking so young? I thought she was 20 or 30 years old.
Hi. Very Good Video, all Excellent, but but so so much . We only live so long and then we grow very old or are no more. Makes me wonder, how so few people own so much opulence, and all the rest in the world? Live the best they can with very little. The Mind Boggles? How can this happen? In the real world. I have seen Enough, and all my life... thanky for sharing, this extra perspective on true living...
Beautiful place and very nice people, it's on my bucket list. I love this house.
Thank you from my Moroccan heart for creating the fundraiser, love your content always
Lovely home. Very interesting that the household is self-sufficient from an energy perspective. I didn't know Morocco is on the cutting edge wrt solar power. Very interesting!
Must be wonderful to entertain in this house and love all the bedding.

Stunning home well curated and shows all that shines is not gold Old is perfect sometimes well done
Prayers to all the people who were affected by the eartquake!!🙏🙏🍀 Carmen has a very unique home and she knows a lot about design, interior, art etc. Mostly not my style but nevertheless beautiful. And Nick Hornby is a friend of hers? The Nick Hornby who wrote " Aboute a boy"??? I'm German but I watched the movie so often that I could do most of the english dialogs😉 And then I found the original book which is different - mostly in the end. I love both so so much!!! All the best to Carmen and her family and household🍀

Awesome home 👍👏😊the courtyard is wonderful and the doors leading out are great, I'm definitely a fan of Morocco and bringing the outdoors in ❤️also I love the desert rose stones you found! I have one tiny one for my granddaughter Julia Rose! PS my neighbors here in America are from Morocco!
that's some nice calm area to build more beautiful large homes, they should develop an oase there with some more villa's and green spaces in the desert. wonder how far it's from the main city.
I think this is exactly the house where the movie mission impossible in Morocco was filmed
