A DYI-er, a Home Goods shopper, and an amazing decorator! What could be better?

The homeowner, Gail, has an inherent eye for design and style. There is no interior design school that would be able to teach this. Design schools are great -- but this is intrinsically who she is and started to display that as a child in a temporary housing situation. The home is stunning and she was able to look well past the flaws and neglect and look at the bones -- which are superb! Her aesthetic and sensibility are terrific and I say that as someone who decorated my Manhattan Upper Eastside home with estate and thrift to have it photographed and placed in the front window of a well respected real estate firm when I put it up for sale. I randomly walked by the real estate windows and was shocked to see my home front and center ! I walked away smiling --- no one had any idea what I had done ! Yes, thrift, estate sales and Home Goods and wherever -- you just never know ! Wishing Gail and her family many years of joy in this stunning home ! Cheers!

Miss Gail’s home is STUNNING and her excitement is contagious about what she’s done to her home! Also, her attitude about decorating her home from high end estate sales and with Home Goods items is refreshing! I also love Home Goods and resale stores! Maybe I don’t have high end items, but they are one of a kind, which I love. Which is her advice, love what you’ve created and designed in your home!

I've never heard of her before and I'm impressed with the work she's done. Beautiful home. I confess I stopped watching at the 15 minute mark because she "up-speaks" so often I had a problem continuing as it's annoying. I wish I could finish watching but I can't do it. I also won't be following her on social media either for the same reason. I know I'm probably alone in my opinion but that's okay. Gorgeous job on the home though.

Gail goes down as my favorite featured homeowner and DYI’er. She is so talented and shared so many wonderful ideas with us! I love her sense of style!

I have never seen one home with so many incredible estate sales finds! Each Facebook or estate sale find is exquisite! What a lucky lady to be in the right place at the right time over and over again. This tour stood out to me as Gail is so hands on and is a DIY queen. She has it all:)

Very beautiful home, and I love that she is a DYI er. The fact that she doesn't mind getting down in the trenches, and does a lot of the work herself is very admirable. Just beautiful and special.

The office is the most Michigan- like room I've seen in years and years. Classic.

I am not usually a fan of traditional decorating but DAMN this house is STUNNING!!! I think Gail might just have converted me😆

She is gorgeous, I love her personal fashion choice, and I love everything she used in the design of her home! This is my favorite Homeworthy ep! I love how she’s willing to think outside the box when it comes to decor and her house isn’t the run of the mill farmhouse or sad beige mom look. Additionally, I love how she teaches herself how to DIY tasks instead of just calling a professional, so it adds more skill sets to her list of qualities! Refreshing!

I am impressed! I don't say that lightly. I love that she shops estate sales and does projects herself. Very inspiring!

The amount of perfect thrifted and estate sale finds is unbelievable. Talk about being at the right place at the right time. They add such charm to each room. Love this home completely. Would love to see what she is doing with her kitchen since we didn’t get to see that.

I love this home! I love using color, wallpaper and textures. I agree, that as she states, you should make your home feel like you, not to just keep neutral, unless that is what you love! This home is stunning! One of my favorite episodes. 💗

I don't see maximalism, I see maximum style! This home is elegant, like its owner. I love all the attention to detail, and everything green - especially the pretty green powder room. I smiled at the perhaps a bit overly elegant boys rooms, but what a lovely home they have created. And I agree with her husband, that letting that one room keep its unpainted wood panelling was a good call. This was an enjoyable home tour, with an engaging hostess. I can definitely relate to the thrill she describes in finding that special piece of art or furniture, and the contentment in seeing a room coming together as a harmonious whole. Beautiful home! I own a 1945 Colonial Revival style Home! Colonial Home Architecture is and has always been my absolute favorite. Even as a little girl, I kept my Pink Colonial dollhouse on meticulous display. I appreciate her expoundings and her blatant adoration for such somewhat antiquated, traditional elements. Her Estate sale method is something I am going to implement in my own Vintage/Antique hunting endeavors going forward!

Encouraging to see a younger person with appreciation for items from the past. The home is exquisite! The huge powder room speaks of days gone by, when guests would arrive and men would head to the den as the women did a quick check of their lipstick and to be sure the clasp on their pearls was to the rear and centered. The separate stairs to the maids quarters, tells me there was someone in the kitchen preparing a lovely meal and the dinner parties were often, and highly spoken of. The hostess was free to mix and mingle as she should be. A great home full of wonderful memories and a lovely young lady (Gail) to keep the momentum going!

Nothing is more romantic in a home than arches. That is on my dream wish list . The dining room is drop dead gorgeous. Those lamps are amazing!!!!! And the wedge wood is a one of a kind steal! The brass fireplace fender is perfect. We have an old mansion in my town that has one, that I always admired on their Christmas tours. So happy your husband won the wood wall debate. It looks incredible. The room has a definite Ralph Lauren feel, which is one of my favorite aesthetics. The patterns and soft colors of the bedroom , with those amazing Frederick Cooper lamps is perfection! Her husband must be one contented man. To be married to a drop dead gorgeous woman with mad skills , is like winning the ultimate lottery!!!! If shes a great cook too... then life is just not fair!

I LOVE the idea of that hallway! I now remember while house-hunting, we toured a house with a hallway layout like that. I missed seeing the "flow" potential there. Her estate sale finds, the Wedgwood, wow. Her home does feel very Birmingham or Grosse Pointes. I'll look up her social media and see what detail she gives about the millwork, really like it.
