The main difference between GoT Cersei's kids and HoTD Rhaenera's kids is that the second ones are of royal blood. Cause it's Rhaenera who is royal, not Cersei

That's not an important difference. Being a royal bastard technically doesn't give you a stronger claim to the throne than a regular bastard. The only reason she doesn't disinherit them for her legitimate sons is because they are supposed the grandchildren of Rhaenys Targaryen who is from the most senior branch of house Targaryen giving the Blacks the only seniority over the Greens they have. If those kids were legitimate the would low key have a stronger claim than Rhaenyra and Aegon. Also, Jace is good. Anyway, if you assume they are bastards (Which they are 🙃) it would be a crushing blow for the Blacks. This is why Rhaenyra can't just legitimize them. It seems to me that both Rhaenyra and Cersei pretend their bastards are legitimate to save their reputation and maintain political power. The fact that both of them have a bastard named "Prince Joffrey" is a not so subtle hint from GRRM that they parallel each other.

Yeah it's totally different. In the case of Cersei's kids, she was the traitor to the king and her husband (same person I know). Ned tried to warn Cersei so she could flee before he told Robert to save the kids lifes. Ned is in the right. Rhaenyra never betrayed the king (who knew even if he pretended the contrary) nor her husband (who was on board). I mean technically he was aware but recognized the kids as his anyway, which would make them legitimate Velaryons (despite not being his biological children). Recognition is more important than blood when it comes to paternity, and that's both true in the Middle Ages and today. Also Rhaenyra having bastard doesn't change anything in her legitimacy. Once she's queen, she can legitimze any bastard anyway so that's a non issue.

No, the difference is everybody that matters loves Rheanyra's kids except Alicent. But Cersei's kids nobody loves them except their mom and uncle daddy and the Lannister's are of the faith of the sheep incest is a no no. Targaryens and incest go together like peanut butter and jam. The Targaryen fought a war against the faith of the sheep to keep their their incestuous relations.

You are right. As you said, if he was in his anscetor's place, it would solely be due to that she was declared the lawful heir that would garner his support, and Allicent is basically speaking treason through hearsay due to being the only one around her husband during his final moments, and it's worse for us as we knew what he was talking about, but she clearly did not.

everyone keeps saying the show favours the blacks which is interesting bc I don’t get that vibe AT ALL. I felt really bad for Alicent and Aegon and they clearly show that it’s a misunderstanding on her part and that despite all she’s done she tries so hard to offer favourable terms. I do believe she thinks Viserys was actually talking about Aegon 2 mixed with that being what she wants. the terms she offered were not unreasonable tbh. Also she clearly missed Rhaenyra a lot and still cares for her. I just don’t feel like the Greens are being purposefully made more evil it’s just that Otto, Larys and Criston Cole actually are cunts. These people were traitors as they were cheering for a usurper. In the world of ASOIAF and even in our own history, siding with a usurper is a direct act against the crown and it is punishable by death. So, Rhaenys was allowed to do that according to the laws of this world. These people weren't innocents, they supported a usurper, they are considered traitors to the realm. Also, it's a game of thrones and in that world, you can't access/display power without blood on your hands. Similar to our own history. She did what she thought was right because according to the laws of her world these people are enemies. Plus, it definitely did send a warning message for everyone who thought of siding with a usurper. It reminded the people that they are living under the shadow of dragons, and do not dare betray the authority of those who have the blood of the dragon. They betrayed the authority of the king who named Rhaenyra the rightful heir to the iron throne. +Legally, Rhaenys was allowed to burn/kill them all and according to the law, they all should've died, so it was very merciful of her not to kill them all. She's simply a player in this cruel, brutal and intense game of thrones, and she's a good one, this is why we love her.
