When Cheese (The Ratcatcher) asks Daemon what happens if they cannot find him the camera cuts to Daemon smiling then away before we hear his reply. You guys made a joke that he said 'find him', but the implication is he said 'A Son for a Son' as the pair repeat this phrase later. They took his phrase literally and when unable to find Aemond, they go for the next best thing. Furthermore, Blood had been spotted by a maid and Cheese ran into the Queen, then put her a knifepoint. There was no way they would be able to hunt Aemond down, if they wanted to complete the mission they would have to act.
My heart broke for Rhaenyra this episode. Emma D'Arcy gave a powerful performance. Rhaenyra stole the episode and she only spoke 1 sentences. Watching Jace trying to be strong (no pun intended) when he was talking to her made me tear up. Nothing good ever happens when Daemon has his crime cloak on. I'm here for Cam's dragon fetish. Lol
12:07 Syrax is the correct name of Rhaenyra's dragon. Caraxes is Daemon's dragon. It's widely believed that Vermax, Arrax and Tyraxes (the dragons of Rhaenyra's 3 oldest sons) were born from eggs laid by Syrax. So, when Rhaenyra is grieving on the beach over the remains, Syrax is also feeling the loss of her own offspring.
There's lore that the Iron Throne can reject its occupant. Look at Viserys, constantly cut while sitting the throne and it is said that it has killed unworthy rulers who sit on it. Meanwhile: Aegon drunk, reclining nonchalantly on the most dangerous seat in the realm, unscathed lol.

It had to be the same kind of tragic mistake as the killing of Luceris. Blame the Greeks . . . for inventing tragedy; or the Hindus for inventing karma.

@@SoCalNiner99It was lowkey, if they couldn’t find Aemond, they were allowed to just bring another ‘son’
Rhaenys is Daemon and Viserys cousin actually.
Arrax was the son of Syrax, double sadness
Cyrax is mourning not only Rhaynears loss but her son’s dragon was from an egg of Cyrax. The sadness is total.
Rhaenys is the older first cousin of Daemon and Viserys.
The Long Night, when the Others invaded Westeros and were defeated, being driven back behind a wall erected by Bran the Builder, was believed to have happened around 8,000 to 6,000 BC. The civil war between the two Targaryen factions (the Blacks and the Greens) started in 129 AC, for comparison’s sake.
Rhaenyra's dragon(ess) is Syrax. Caraxes is dragon of Daemon.
When the rat catcher says he knows the tunnels better than the shape of….. I reckon every man watching that scene starts thinking about the shape of their own…… I know I did 😂
The way people are willing to assign Daemons crimes to Rhaenyra but not Otto’s crimes to Aegon is wild
Very solid first episode. I’m team black but my heart breaks for Helaena. Criston and Alicent’s hypocrisy pissed me off. It was great hearing the Stark music again. I’m with you Cam. MORE DRAGONS!!!

Helaena is the only one in the whole story that doesnt deserve any of this shit
Wait for the next episode. Deamon absolutely intended for Aegon's heir to be the real target. He named Aemond to give himself plausible deniability.
The king is going to go absolutely nuts! Great reaction guys.
Not sure why you were so surprised about that stuff at the end. Don’t you remember the red wedding where they literally stabbed a pregnant woman to death in front of her husband? GOT is gonna GOT 😂
Hell yeah , let’s go boys ! Glad you’re reacting
The dog is a rat catcher. Such dogs really did exist. The two assassins Daemon sent to kill Aemond are hilariously known as "Blood" and "Cheese". The parallel here is perfect. Vhagar killed Luceris against the wishes of Aemond. Now "B & C" killed the young prince against the wishes of Daemon. Both were unintended murders that are going to lead to the unavoidable mayhem.

I'm pretty sure Daemon was fine with the young prince being killed, especially his silent reaction to Cheese when he was asked what they should do when Aemond couldn't be found.

@@rogueagentaa That's hard to know but the young boy wasn't the one Rhaenyra wanted dead and Daemon's intentions were hard to determine. We haven't seen Rhaenyra's reaction.

Good to see my boys again!
keep in mind boys not only did rheyera lose a son but so did syrax her dragon, most of the younling dragons are from her clutches. so the dragon lost a son too.
You mentioned how you saw some goodness in the king... To me at least I saw that as him searching for Love from the small folk that he never got from his father as opposed to genuine goodness especially given what we know of his assault of the maid and his attendance of the fighting pits especially given that he also put in his own child or allowed it. Impure motivations are not always a bad thing for a ruler to have as long as the masses benefit, however when you have impure and often unclear motives then the actions of the ruler can be unstable and even unpredictable. In the case of the Greens, while the king may start as helping the small folk as soon as he gets bored/feels insecure/or his other desires out way his desire to be loved then his actions could become much more cruel. Also even if his actions are coming from a good place as you noted/the show stated he is easily influenced, this combined with his lack of training for rule may make him very incompetent which is sometimes worse especially given the war they're headed into. I'm more team black than green but I can see how the small folk might start to support Aegon if he starts standing firmer and is more benevolent, especially with this newest act of war.
Zay’s environment looks about 120 degrees and humid, while Cam’s looks 68, dry, with a light breeze. (Not a nod to acts in Magnolia 🙂)
Hi guys glad you are back too.Love watching you from Amsterdam the Netherlands ❤. Groetjes
Zay’s doppelgänger got selected for the Wall! 😅
Cam and Zay love your reactions being youngster's keep it up 😊
When it comes to Aemond killing Luceris, it's important to remember that it wasn't entirely an accident, remember Aemond purposely went after Luceris to intimidate and antagonize him. Arrax reacted to the perceived danger and then Vahgar attacked. It was "accidental", but for Aemond's actions, it never would have happened. I don't know why people want to give him a pass on that.
hello - pedantic me here. :) Melys is a female dragon, not a 'good boy' haha. Just like gramma Vaegar.
Rhaeneyra;s dragon is Syrax Daemons dragon is Caraxes Aeomon is Vhagar Rheanys is Meleys Aegon is Sunfire
We don't know what Daemon said when he was asked "What if we can't find him?" Aegon's children may have been the plan B. It's very unlikely Rhaenyra was told of this plan, so what happens when she finds out what Daemon has done. I suspect we'll see her go into orbit and rain down Hell on him.
Alicent messing around with Cristin and letting Larys touch himself while he looks at her feet and also saying RhAenerA’s a WhOre. 🥴 Such a hypocrite.
"You can't do that" Errrr they just did! A son for a son!
The wall is a good 8-10 thousand years old just so you know!
Summary of this episode: *OH NO*
Terrier breeds were used to hunt/kill rats.
Arryk is with Ageon. Remember A. Erryk is with the Blacks.
Thanks, Cameron! Thanks, Isaiah! 🐲
You totally creeped me out with that stare!!
You need to check out the history and lore of the white walkers. There are KZread videos on this.
From what I gather, Rhaenyra never even said she wanted anyone killed. She just said she wanted him. I understood that as she wanted him to stand infront of her as her brother and confess to what he did. She never said she wanted him dead. And I don’t think SHE wanted anyone to die yet. It was all Damon really. I don’t think she’s going to be ok with it or happy about it in the slightest.
Awesome 🔥💯🔥
this season is 8 episodes and the show will atleast go 4 seasons
Aegon is naive on his duties. Although I don’t like Otto, he is trying to steer him to a more prudent course. As one would.
Did you see 👀 Helena was HIGHTAILING IT to that Throne Room after that AWFUL. SH*T🤢🤮 But then she stopped on a dime and Clairvoyantly saw something EVEN SCARIER!!??? 😱 And it made her run to her mothers room 👉👌 INSTEAD!?? WHAT. WAS. HAPPENING. IN. THAT. THRONE. ROOM? 👑 😳😳😳 👑
Would like to see a reaction vid for The Talented Mr Ripley - riveting flick.
Great reaction guys, team green is a mess😊
I don't know what Martin's and the show writers' obsession is with child murder, but they've pretty much lost me at this point.
Yes ❤

Donald Sutherland just passed away today. He is the father of Kieffer Sutherland. Maybe watch one of his films in his honor. Here are some of his best (ranked). Most of these have stacked casts: "Kelly's Heroes" (1970) "The Dirty Dozen" (1967) "Backdraft" (1991) directed by Ron Howard. Music by Hans Zimmer "The Italian Job" (2003 remake) "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" (1992 original movie) "Space Cowboys" (2000) stacked cast. directed by Clint Eastwood "The Eagle Has Landed" (1976) "Hollowpoint" (1996) "Outbreak" (1995) "Start the Revolution Without Me" (1970)
I would have liked it to say "I WANT MY BROTHER AEMOND" It would have given it more drama. but it was great anyway 😍
In the book Daemon told them to kill the male heir, not Aemond, that’s what he meant with a son for a son. He didn’t give a rat’s ass about the babies. Well, they ruined Blood&Cheese in the show, the book’s version is way better and much more impactful. It was supposed to be another 'Red Wedding'. Not that people were waiting to witness the beheading of a baby, but the mother’s impossible choice would have been another big tragic moment in TV’s history, the audience would have been at the edge of their seat. What they gave us instead was rushed and underwhelming to say the least. Please read the book’s version.

The book is a retelling of two unreliable sources (a maester and a fool.) I do wish they had kept the Blood and Cheese part the same as the book though. It was so much more heartbreaking.

SPOILER (read only if you want to know the fate of main human and dragon characters; hopefully it's hidden if you don't) There is a massive battle "Above the God's Eye" with the inevitable confrontation between Aemond (on Vhagar) and Daemon (on Caraxes) and yeah, pretty everybody/every creature dies--at least in the books.
