The dragon didn’t decide to follow Luke, the prince did, he caused it.

Daemon told them to kill the child if they didn't find Aemond. That's why when the rat man asked Deamon what to do( if they didn't find Aemond), Daemon was silent. Aemond was first on the list, but the child was the runner-up.

@obdiane (Shamonda) We can only "assume" that he told them to do that- due to the scene was cut after they asked; "What if we do not find him (Aemond)?"... We've watched it at least 3 times to make sure that it was never spoken. We all know that Aemond doesn't back down... and I do feel that that was his instruction as well, but HOTD loves keeping us speculating if scenes are cut after a question has been asked. We also realized that Queen Helena also looked at the very crib that her boy (the heir) slept when she declared what she was afraid of; "The rats." Pointing to Cheese. And the fact that she talks and listens to rodents that she was able to convince Cheese by just looking into his eyes that she was telling the truth. This is too good to miss one conversation. And we know from S1 that Queen Helena is a "Seer" and that she predicts events to come. Thanks for stopping by to comment.

@@welp3694Actually no. Condal said they weren’t going to let that shot stay but Matt’s face was so good it let it linger and it was open to interpretation. Matt Smith denies it. They’re going to humanise him again anyway.

Poor Jace is probably going through it more because going out as messengers was his idea. That scene with him and Rhaenyra hits so much. ❤💔 Rhae has cried her tears for herself, now she was helping her son through his grief.

The horse that Joffrey put in the pyre was the one we say Luke playing with a Leana’s funeral when he was telling Coryls that he didn’t want to inherit Driftmark because it would mean everyone is dead

Loved the reaction ❤ y’all are like my Unc / Aunty (in the best way) I wanted to highlight if you remember in S1 when young Luke was talking with Corlys about one day being head of Driftmark and he pulled a Jon Snow “I don’t want it” I believe he was playing with the little horse figure that Joffrey threw into the fire😢❤ such sentiment … a lot of good call backs from ep 1 can’t wait to continue the journey with y’all!

Aemon is the one who consciously mounted his dragon and chased Lucerys, he had enough control of Vhagar for that, you can't really absolve him from culpability... just sayin.

@SciFiCatGuy (Shamonda) Aemond is angry he lost an eye... understandable! But all riders have mounting control over their dragon. But what took place in the sky was far above what "control" they assumed they had over their own dragons. And as big as Vhagar is, do you really think he's going to sit by and let this little "ant" of a dragon blow fire on her and not retaliate? "When you play the Game of Thrones, you win, or you die! @@marriedtofilm I'm just saying that Aemon bears the responsibility of pursuing Luc in the first place, whether he meant to kill him or not, or control Vhagar, he could have had better SELF conterol.

At first I thought that it was Larys going down on Alicent when I saw the dark hair. Phew.

The scene that hit me the most was when Jace came home at first trying to be a loyal subject and report to his Queen yet only really needing a hug and to cry in his mom's arms over the loss of Lucerys.😢😢😢

Cheese asked Daemon, What if we can't find him? Then the camera cut away before Daemon could answer. Aemond was plan A. Any prince was plan B. In the book, the murder happened in the Tower of the Hand which makes more sense for the lack of security. Finally Alicent and Cole don't bang in the book. He doesn't even sleep with Rhaenrya. The show is working overtime to make him look bad.

​@FMD70757 incorrect. We know a lot about private lives from the book. One example: in the book, Rhaenyra asks Daemon to take her to the pleasure house. She wants to learn how to seduce Cole. But Cole rejects her, and she runs off and sleeps with Harwin Strong. Another example: the reason Otto hates Daemon is he believes Daemon took her virginity. The problem with the book is that it was written after the fact based on unreliable sources. The show is supposed to be what really happened. The problem is any time the show makes a change, it makes the Blacks look good and the Greens look bad.

That is so doggone true yall! THE DRAGONS DID IT! Armond could not handle Vaegar when Lucary's dragon blew fire at him and Vagar did not like that one bit and went after Lucary's dragon and, CHOMP! OUT WENT BOTH LUCARY AND HIS DRAGON. that's why Armond had that oopsie look on his face. He tried to handle Vaegar and stop him, but he just couldn't. it really wasn't his fault.

I can't blame it on the dragons. He knew he couldn't control her but went after Luke anyway. And Luke's dragon was just defending its self when it snipped at Vaegar🤷

House of the dragon to me is a show I can't watch weekly. Has to be daily, so sadly as there is 8 episodes I will wait 7 days before the final episode and watch a episode daily so I can watch the final episode with everyone else :)

They were way to confident that nothing would happen. They were bragging about Vaegar defending the castle that they didnt think to guard the inside. 😑 Daemon wanted a son for a son. When they asked about not finding Aemond, Daemon smirked giving the idea to kill someone. 🤷

@Brenda (Shamonda) I understand that you want him to be alive, but if you go back and watch the episode, his head went into the dragon's mouth. His cape and torso were seen falling from the sky while Aemond watched. It was gruesome, that baby didn't have to die like that. Besides it wasn't against Lucarys and Aemond it was literally between the dragons. Neither of the boys had control over their dragons. We are simply loving this show- hope that you are enjoying it as well. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Yes, go back and watch and also listen to the conversations that were going on in the 1st season. If we know well enough, all that occurred in the 1st season will be the foundation of what's to come. Even to the meeting with Corlys and Daemon sitting by the fireplace discussing their position and ranking in their own bloodline/family and the strength they possess. It's so good ... Take care.

Those jive hitters didn’t confuse anything. They went the easy route and took a son, just not the one Daemond specified. They wanted to get in, grab a head, get out, and get paid. And doing like they did, they didn’t risk their lives having to fight Aemond. I think Alicent & Ser Criston been getting it in for a minute. Alicent was never really bothered about Rhaenyra’s lack of purity. She was just jealous that it was Criston she was messing with because she always had a thing for him. See y’all on the next one 🖤

Hey Fam, great reaction. I teared up at the baby getting his head cut off, I was 😤 at that idiot kicking the dog for no damn reason. I hope he gets what’s coming to him for that very reason. I don’t blame the dragons for what went down, they get their from the riders, if anything I blame Aemond more than anyone else. He could have kept his ass at that place and let Luke and Arrax go home. Luke was scared and Arrax picked that up and fire and Vhagar the big beautiful creature that she is went rogue bcuz Aemond couldn’t control her, I’m contradicting myself I know 😂 but I still blame Aemond. All the Dragons are innocent and loved by me even if they kill someone I like.
